Yeah that probably wins. In 1982, Yount, playing SS put up a .331/.379/.578/.957 line (A 166 OPS+) and Molitor, playing 3B put up a .302/.366/.450/.816 line, 129 OPS+. They combined for ~17 WAR. WINNER!
Braun/Fielder I don't know. The value Cain and Yelich have defensively and baserunning might make them better overall. Yount / Molitor would rank up there...
Surprisingly less than a 2-run triple. Gennett is becoming my least favorite player in the MLB, only because he kills us on the field. My least favorite player in the MLB is really Yadier Molina, and there's probably a good chance he actually killed someone. LOL! Scooter is by far my favorite non-Brewer player in MLB, but I hate it when he beats us.
After his performance against the Brewers today, anybody out there still wish we had mortgaged the farm to get him? Dodged another bullet in my opinion. Stearns made a great decision by sticking to his guns, and not upping the offer, if in fact we were ever in on him to begin with. Thank you baseball gods...
I'm almost afraid to post due to the thread about banning and such. It really feels like we are being censored. The IGT thread is the one thread that we should be able to post a little more freely as compared to the others. Within reason of course. It's just so darn easy to offend people these days that I'm a little uncomfortable taking a chance.
I'm holding out zero hope that Davies will provide anything positive to this team this season. If he does, I'll be pleasantly surprised, if he doesn't, it won't matter. He and Jimmy had a lost season, it's just the way it is.
I seriously hope that if we get a wildcard spot, that we don't have to play the damn Cardinals in a one game sudden death hate-fest! I'm not sure I can handle a loss to that team in a game with that kind of importance. On the flip side, it really couldn't be any better than to win that same game and end their season. I'm torn.
