What I can't understand is CC's need to start Schoop in the clean-up spot. He has done nothing to warrant even considering this move, yet it happens. Let the guy get his feet under him in this line-up before putting any more pressure on him. He is obviously pressing, so putting him in that spot makes zero sense. Just stop it!
THIS, can never be forgiven...EVER! I'm sure RR has completely forgotten, and maybe doesn't even think that was a monumental mistake, but we Brewers fans, will have to live with it forever. Gosh that was horrible.
Jonathan Villar went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, three runs scored and a stolen base in the Orioles' win over the Rangers on Sunday. Villar was an afterthought in the trade deadline deal that shipped slugger Jonathan Schoop to Milwaukee, but he's quietly hitting .471 (8-for-17) in four games with the Orioles. He stole a base off Rangers starter Drew Hutchison in the second inning and later took reliever Matt Moore deep for a solo shot in the seventh inning. With zero obstacles blocking his path to everyday at bats, the 27-year-old is an appealing middle infield option in deeper mixed leagues over the final two months. He's up to seven home runs and 15 stolen bases in 91 games this season. Aug 5 - 8:08 PM
I don't think he has. Last time he pitched 2 was against the Cubs last year. If that is the case, then the move has to be questioned. Not slamming the move, just questioning it, however, given the other options, it probably made sense.
Well Albers, Barnes and Jennings are in the pen. Not a lot of great options there. Yup, I get it... I see no reason Hader is unavailable today. We baby him way too much imo.
Had Shaw continued to run that out rather than pulling up at the end, he might have beat that. Watch the replay, I think he would have been safe if he didn't slow up.
