  1. The batting order looks good, but the defensive lineup makes me nervous, especially against a team with some speed that puts pressure on the defense. Anytime Thames is in the OF, it's a complete adventure.
  2. Just hope we have a piggyback plan in place if he gets in big trouble early...
  3. I know one thing, I am happy as heck that all the Hader Tweets nonsense has completely died down. That had the potential to ruin the kid, glad that in general, people believe that what he said as a 17 year old, shouldn't dictate his career, or his time as a professional athlete. Bullet dodged.
  4. Agree. I'll add to this: man buns = horrible man rompers = horrible giant man beards on skinny little hipster men = horrible (giant man beards only look right on giant men)
  5. Isn't the better question WHY?
  6. They weren't, they said things that made it sound that way, but they had to know. The problem was the people here who continuously made accusations that he'd be back this year, help us down the stretch and into the playoffs. This news is not disappointing to me because I said from day one that anything we got from him this season would be a bonus, and I did not expect to see him this season at all. I was told a couple of times I was negative, and was wrong. In the end, I was realistic, and correct. Congratulations Thank you.

  8. That's all? You watch everything else? Impressive. Thanks for sharing. Personally I don't watch hockey, golf, dog shows, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee and numerous other things I'm probably not even aware of. It would be exhausting if I had to share that information constantly to all the people I meet. Kudos for keeping on top of that with your disinterest in the NFL, that's some real dedication right there. I bet you are a blast at parties...
  9. Does he have to take up a spot on the 40 man?
  10. Is the NFL still playing? Dead to me...
  11. NICE! That 'splains that!
  12. Kelley's Bleachers has a large Brewers theme in décor. They also do FREE shuttles to and from Miller Park. Went there for the first time last week and it was a good experience.
  13. 5 back after the mini Cubs series would be the straw that breaks the camel's back imo. If we looked like we have the capability to go on a run, and nothing in the second half can even come close to suggesting that, I wouldn't feel so gloomy about our chances.
  14. BA might as well just leave the Brewers all together... I feel like he is just cheating on us.
  15. I would say yes, for sure! I'm sure it effects some players differently, but in the grand scheme of things, I think players need to be in there playing, not bouncing back and forth with days on the bench, hitting all over the order, and playing different positions. Hitting in a different spot in the lineup and playing different positions is just an excuse fans make up. It has no bearing on professional hitters. You would know this for certain based on your extensive background as a professional hitter?

  17. Teams do this all the time. The Bucks would play some lollipop thing when announcing the other team. Welcome to the twitter troll era. lolipop is far different than making a direct reference to roid use...
  18. Just turned the game on. Who are these announcers, and why?
  19. They should not be allowed to play "Your Cheating Heart." That is very unclassy.
  20. I know one thing, this season has caused me a lot more stress than most in the past. When we have a chance at a playoff spot, the stress is a lot greater than when I know we don't.
  21. Just posted on Brewers Facebook page: Yelich LF Cain CF Moustakas 3B Jesus 1B Shaw 2B Schoop SS Thames RF Pina C Peralta P That is the big bopper line-up for sure! I absolutely hate Thames in the OF, but what can be done? Either Jesus sits so he plays 1B, or he is in the OF. No Braun, good guy to hit off the bench for sure. Let's get 'em!
  22. Hader does not throw enough, I will stand by that opinion. He isn't a starter, and is only allowed to throw 2 innings every 5 or 6 days? That is crap. He needs to throw more to stay on his game. It's an opinion, but how many relievers are used like this? I just can't believe that 2 innings every 5th or 6th day is what he wants to do, and I don't believe it keeps him fresh as much as it allows rust to develop for game time situations.
  23. Like hell it's not on Counsel. He's the captain of this ship, and he let the Titanic continue to drift towards the iceberg, and didn't get off his arse to turn the wheel until we were two inches from it. Knebel has been God awful of late. The leash he's on should be the length of a chihuahua. At the first sign of trouble, you get somebody else up in the pen. I don't buy into this "Padres are hot and confident" BS. They're the worst team in baseball for a reason, and we were facing the bottom of their lineup-at home, no less. Knebel walks the #7 guy, I'm already holding the phone to the pen. Knebel throws a few balls to the next batter, I'm putting the call in, calling time, and stalling to get the pen guy warmed up. Not a chance in hell that I'm allowing Knebel to see another batter after he walks two guys. The umpire can tongue lash me, kick me out of the game, write an impassioned letter to the league why I should be fined. I don't give a damn. I'd have Front Row Amy do jumping jacks for a few seconds-whatever it took to make sure that the head case on the mound doesn't throw another pitch. And after the third walk, there's not a little league coach, let alone another MLB manager, that would have let Knebel face a fourth batter. Knebel threw the pitches, but Counsel should have been watching him with the world's biggest magnifying glass. The buck has to stop somewhere, and Counsell has shown time and time again that he has no clue about when to act. Meet the new Brewers, same as the old Brewers. The late season swoon is underway. They'll choke down the stretch, just like they always do on the rare occasion when they have a decent squad. And, we'll blow sunshine up each other's butts about how bright the future is, because that's all fans of loser franchises have. Losers whine about doing their best. Winners go home and boink the Prom Queen. This is a highly entertaining post, and I agree with almost all of it... As we found out last year, each and every game matters, we need to play to win every single game. I just hope CC didn't leave him in because he didn't want to hurt his feelings. If he is struggling, he knows it, this is professional baseball, not little league. Goal one is to win as many games as possible, and it does not always feel like that is our goal.
