Considering CC is gone there may be a "so you're telling me there's a chance" chance. CC still makes the calls from the locker room, no way getting kicked out keeps managers from managing the game.

Except that Ramos has been on the DL since before the deadline, and just came off on the 15th... I get what you are saying, but he would have been zero help on the DL, until now... He missed 2 weeks. That's it. We knew he would. Everyone did. He would have been back before Pina got hurt. and he has played a grand total of 3 games since returning from the DL. He wouldn't have taken the field for us until August 15th, 3 days ago. EDIT: He went on the DL July 14th, and came off August 15th.

He has deserved it more often than today. Maybe this is the game where the rest of the world is able to see that CC is in over his head when it comes to mangaing a baseball game.

How many IGT threads where we question Counsell's bullpen management will it take for the fans of this team to realize that Counsell is not the manager to take us to the next level. More importantly, how many more times will Stearns allow him to mis-manage the bullpen and figure it out for himself? How many? 1 more, 2 more, 10 more? The guy does not know how to manage a bullpen, just doesn't get it.

Exact same reaction we used to get from RRR... Counsell is in his mold, they are almost the same manager.

Counsell is our golden boy. His job is as safe as safe can be imo.

If this team rattles off 6 or 7 games in a row in the near future, people's attitudes will change... I think they "can" make the play-offs, but the way things have recently gone, I am doubting it. All it would really take is a decent hot stretch, where things fall their way for an extended period of time and I think it's possible.

Way too small of a sample... He has never been given a real shot at the rotation. I'd rather throw him out there and see what we have then to say he sucks. Has more career innings than Peralta and a higher ERA, not to mention he’s 4 years older than Peralta None of those things proves he sucks.

and yet another reason he shouldn't be in the OF... To be honest Thames really should be the one catching that ball. He was camping under it while Cain was flying over from CF. Can you blame Cain for not trusting that Thames can make that catch? He is a hack in the OF, plain and simple.
