  1. When I watch this team, the thought that constantly enters my mind is that they are soft. This is just not a physically tough team.
  2. His throwing arm negates anything his bat might add to this line-up imo.
  3. This might be a dumb question, but if Suter is crap in the starting rotation, why does anyone think he is going to be better as a long man in the bull pen? Is it because he would only face the opposing line-up once? That is all I can think of. Not letting the opposing players see him twice in one game has to be a bonus for us, right?
  4. Love Last Man on Earth. Look forward to it weekly! Been with it since episode one.
  5. Zach Clark absolutely crushed a ball to left center today, a true no doubter! So far, I have enjoyed watching this year's squad.
  6. Same here, but today was not very friendly to him. Picked off 1B, and a misjudged fly ball in RF.
  7. So far, Lynn, Archer, and Cobb have been nightmares. Only the beginning of the season, yes, but looking at what they have done this year so far makes me really happy we did not go all in on any of them. Stearns made the right call on all 3 to this point.
  8. We need to establish whether or not Villar is a viable option moving forward. He needs to start 95% of the time at 2B. Why would we ever bother to start Sogard there is beyond me. Let the IF of Shaw, Arcia, Villar and 1B of the moment play the vast majority of games together. Stop the merry go round nonsense.
  9. Here's to the SUNDAY line-up that CC will probably run out there. Sogard, Bandy, and Perez starting? Agreed, a win today would be a boost for the players, and hell, the fans as well...
  10. Must we be starting at least one of Sogard or Perez every single game? (didn't look that up, but is seems to be the case)
  11. I wouldn't be resting anyone today or tomorrow, we need all the guns we have to try and even up the series... (unless there is an unknown injury of course)
  12. Check out the T-Rats box score tonight for some pleasant surprises...
  13. Bottom line: CC messed up and started Sogard, something that seems to continue to be an issue. Is CC the type of manager that we want to run a team that has the chance to go deep into the play-offs or a possible WS appearance in the near future? If the answer is no, he should be un-employed at season's end.
  14. Umpire at home was terrible today, but he was terrible both ways. Nothing he did cost us the game, Sogard booting a ball for a run and our best hitters not coming away with more than 1 run in the 7th with a big inning chance is what cost us the game. What cost us the game is our manager's decison to start Sogard at SS. That is what cost us this game.
  15. This loss is squarely on Counsell. If he just can't squelch the temptation to start Sogard when it is not out of necessity, then he can leave too. A manager has to do a better job of managing the team, the entire team, and starting Sogard proves he is unable to meet that standard. MLB isn't about fair playing time, it's about putting the team on the field that gives you the best chance of winning. Perez and Sogard do not do that, ever.
  16. CC's blatant man love for Sogard has to end. Arcia not playing today can cost us this game pretty easily.
  17. I'm assuming he's referring to cuter own ship as opposed to the brewers ship. Correct, I didn't word that the best. I meant Suter getting better himself, not the fact that we lost a game. Sorry for the confusion.
  18. Career vs the Cubs? ummm K, yeah, that makes me feel better. You probably just shouldn't watch the game then, since your mind is already made up on the outcome. Sheesh I am simply saying that his CAREER numbers against the Cubs, in a sample that size, is a pretty worthless stat. Sheesh
  19. Once it's out there, it's out there, and you live with the consequences. Simple as that. Like all these stupid kids posting/texting the naked pics, sharing them to people they trust (their current boyfriend or girlfriend), only to get bit in the butt later, after they break up, or the boyfriend just can't resist sharing it to his buddies. Just plain stupidity. Our society has increasingly lost any common sense that it once had. People are dumb and getting dumber. There are some great things about social media, but people are not equipped to separate the good from the bad. Watch the movie "Idiocracy" if you want to see what has happened and is going to happen in our future.
