  1. Don't confuse us with facts. Craig Counsell is the worst manager ever. Some more confusing facts: Santana's OPS+ is roughly 40 points higher than Perez. So the difference is between a good or bad hitter. I think I know who I'd play if I was trying to get in the playoffs I'm right there with you, play your guns, not hunches or misplaced loyalties...
  2. We have a certain amount of posters who hate it when you question the manager, been that way throught the years with all our managers. I was on the Counsell bandwagon until about 1/4 through this season when I started to notice I was questioning his decision making......a LOT more than the previous season. I just don't think he is the guy to take us deep into the playoffs or be our guy in a world series appearance. Doesn't matter what I think though, Stearns and Attanasio seem positively enamoured with the guy...
  3. The new IT... Thought it was great! Had to go home and watch the original, and after seeing the new one, the original falls flat... I am not one who usually like remakes, but this one is worth seeing. Looking forward to part II!!
  4. Damn, would have taken you up had I seen this before now... Couldn't make it that quick from Appleton.
  5. Enjoy it man. This team is answering the call and it's far from over yet. the reality is that theyre going to have to win most of the rest of these 15 games. having StL in the mix really complicates things. Its not just Brewers catching Rockies or Brewers catching Cubs and maybe one of those teams goes cold. You have another team in the mix that could nullify any stumbles by COL or CHI by getting hot on their own. youd have to think wed need at LEAST 10 and probably 12 of 15. t he teams in front of us are most likely going to finish strong as well buzzkill...
  6. Three times? State your case once and let it go. You're not going to change anyone's mind. Right, but it wasn't about changing any minds at that point, I think he wanted to get tossed. Mission accomplished.
  7. They did all they could, even have people coming from all over the country, what else can they do with less than 48 hours notice. Geez...
  8. High school football. Also it was announced that the field level would only be available, and they only started selling tickets to the 2nd deck later today. 19k is pretty good attendance for exclusively walk up ticket sales with only a couple days notice that there'd even be a game. Completely agree... On short notice, I think Milwaukee did our state proud!!! Don't underestimate the power of Friday Night Lights, high school football is HUGE in WI!
  9. It doesn't matter what happens for the remainder of the season, being in the hunt on Sept. 15th is such a nice feeling...
  10. so does this mean he will be on the bench the next couple of games?
  11. The life of a manager? Well, I guess I'd like to know his line of thinking as to why he is doing what he is doing... Just seems like he is trying to be too cute for the tam's own good. I hope it works, we shall see.
  12. I'd have to agree actually. This seems entirely silly. I don't understand the point of bringing up Wilkerson if it isn't to start. He not only has to adjust from going from AA to AAA to the majors in a couple weeks time, but now has to adjust to a bullpen role. If you wanted to do the bullpen game thing, fine. But it is so damn stupid for Jeffress to start it and Wilkerson to come in in relief. Right, so now we are starting a relief pitcher, making him uncomfortable, and having a starter come in for relief, making him uncomfortable... Count me in the "this is a stupid idea" crowd. Just another head scratcher from CC...
  13. yeah, that will probably be an issue, probably why they are dropping the prices.
  14. If teams that are out of it, are playing young guys to have a look at the future, I don't consider that tanking... Tanking to me means you are trying to lose, I don't see that happening anyplace.
  15. 25% off all concessions, all weekend too! NICE!
  16. Jeremy Jeffress will start Friday against the Marlins. It's the first major league start for Jeffress in what will obviously be a "bullpen game" for the Brewers. Jeffress has posted a 2.70 ERA and 16/11 K/BB ratio over 16 2/3 innings since rejoining Milwaukee. It will be a "road" start that's played at Miller Park, as the game had to be moved from Miami following Hurricane Irma. Sep 15 - 10:45 AM Source: Milwaukee Brewers on Twitter
  17. So you are saying there is a chance?
  18. They were sold out when I went to get tickets right at 10:00. That is strange, I finally got in at 10:45ish...I got to the site at 10:30 due to work obligations.
  19. I finally got $15 infield box seats for my wife and I but it took forever to get in the system. Lots of error messages and the like... Finally worked. Really wanted a crack at the Field diamond since I have never taken in a game in those seats... GRRRRRR!
  20. I went to school with a kid who spelled his last name Wang, but it was pronounced Wong.
