  1. Tomorrow being the last day of school and the beginning of summer vacation doesn't bug me in the least!
  2. Agreed. People like to pretend they live in a bubble and that they would never make a mistake. Braun obviously shouldn't have used what he used and he should've came clean when he was caught. That's hindsight. All you see from Braun now is a guy that went out and apologized to fans in multiple ways including calling some, made amends with the man who was thrown under the bus in the fiasco, and has continued to do wonderful community work. I call BS that the Brewers don't want to use him as a face of their franchise. He's everywhere again and he should be. On top of that you have a player who works his butt off to be one of the best players on the planet. Yesterday even though they were down 10-3 he hit a two bouncer to the SS and Braun hustled his butt off down the line and made it close. This while a plate appearance before ripping one down the line and hustling into second while grimacing. Proud to call him a Brewer and if the right deal isn't there I'm glad he'll continue to be one. And when it's all done, his statue should be right out in front of that stadium and welcomed to be around this team as much as he possible can. That's what a great organization does. *clap*clap*clap* I totally 100% agree with this statement. He is human, made a mistake, and has done everything he could to make amends. A lot of people love Molitor even though he had a drug problem, was injured a lot, and left. Braun is still the man in Milwaukee, and I really hope he ends his career here, as it should be. For me, it wil be really sad if they move him, even for a huge haul, it is going to pain me...
  3. Those prices are just completely ridiculous. $37 for a hat?
  4. I still want to dump him... Let's see where his stats are in 30 days... He is hot, very true, but there is no way he does this all season long.
  5. Sandoval? Sandoval? Pablo Sandoval? Oh my God nooooooooooo! It would have to be a really REALLY good prospect to take Prince back, he has fallen off a cliff. As much as I loved him, it looks like the way he has treated his body all these years may have started to take it's toll. Sandoval? NO!
  6. The Villar situation reminds me a little bit of the Segura situation a couple years ago. Segura looked like a total stud, then fell off a cliff never to return. (as a Brewer anyway) I'm not saying that Villar is Segura, but the situation could have the same results. I hope this is the real Villar, and that he is a big part of this team's success for years to come, but it is just too darn early to make that call... I also hope that if this is the real Villar, he bones up on situational base running... I have to think he has coaches in his ears telling him what to do and what not to do from this point on.
  7. flip Hill, trade Hill... Man, it's like a broken record around here when talking about this guy. I hate to tell you guys, but I highly doubt anyone is going to want Hill in a trade. We only have him as a salary dump, and the only way we are going to unload him is for the same reason. I doubt anyone is going to come calling for Aaron Hill. flip him, trade him, it's all a pipe dream...
  8. I don't mind Jimmy getting a spot even though he has a single coming out, Jeffress is a good choice, and Smith has been a big part of the team in the past, so he is fine. I have issue putting Jungman on it though. He was a bad decision, and not just in hindsight. I thought for sure it would be the infield the year the movie came out. (Yount, Molitor, Gantner and Cooper)
  9. and Ed "windmill" Sedar doesn't help matters either...
  10. Man o man Villar, little leaguers know not to go when the ball is hit in front of you. This guy makes so many base-running mistakes, it is getting pretty old already. I find it hard to believe that a guy can progress to the major leagues, and still not know basic information on playing this game. It just makes no sense to make mistakes this frequently. I understand that all players make mistakes, but this is getting plain stupid. Rock is even coaching him earlier in Braun's at bat, saying you have to just stay at 2nd and not try to steal a base when Braun and Lucroy are behind you...
  11. I picked mine up quite a while ago, when they first came out for $30. Since then, I have seen them sell in the $200 range, when they show up. Some have gone cheaper. I have no idea how many there are out there. When I found mine, it was pure luck, and I couldn't find any information on it, just took a chance and got lucky. It goes nicely with the Attanasio in the collection.
  12. I wonder how long it will be before Diplan is moved up? I hope they give him a few more starts in Appleton, he is an absolute joy to watch pitch!
  13. Nope, they do not! The Brewers screwed up on this one, it would have been easy to provide a small numbered COA or sticker, something, but they didn't do anything to show it was one of the small series given out. As far as I know, the only real proof is the ticket, and even that is sketchy since it says nothing of the bobble. I have heard there were only 42 given out, but can't verify that either. They dropped the ball on this one for sure, but that is what you get when you have an unplanned and un-publicized promotion like this.
  14. Flores pinch hitting in this situation? Oh my. I hope he proves my negative thoughts wrong... EDIT:
  15. I am beginning to doubt Santana and his being a big part of our future. The guy just does not impress me, offensively or defensively...
  16. Because our manager isn't the brightest. You're in trouble now, Brew4U will give a privet post and scold you for saying something negative and possibly hurt the forum in a way that his friends will get mad and leave. Pay attention, and you can figure who the rest of the cheerleading squad is. You are playing with fire young man. Your time here may be very short if you don't become a bit more civil.
  17. Nelson is part of our future, unless someone offered the moon, I'd hope he stays in Milwaukee. You can't just trade everyone with value. At some point, we have to field a team, right?
  18. I understand why he is willing to pay big bucks for it...
  19. CC Sabathia had one, just isn't official. We all know it was a no hitter though...
  20. BA is being very liberal with certain descriptions of this game. That surprises me.
  21. I'm not worrying about anything.. Just throwing out observations. The way Harrison has played during both his stints at WI does not warrant his attitude. He has yet to be anything close to his prospect status, and you may be right about his career. (but he is currently a top 30 prospect) Matos won't ever be a big leaguer, but he sure acts like he already is...
  22. The COA is the ticket. The tickets for the signed ones were in a different section than the others. To know if it is a real one, given out to those who bought the package, it would have to come with a ticket stub from that certain section, in the check deck.
