  1. Lincecum would serve no purpose on this team other than to cloud our plans for future rotation spots. When I see posts like this one, and the Sandoval thread, I have to wonder if everyone is aware that we are rebuilding, not trying to put "butts in the seats." I also don't think that guys like Lincecum and Panda would sell a single extra ticket. They are both shadows of their former selves.
  2. Kirk Nieuwenhuis has such a horrible approach at the plate, and his swing is just ridiculous...Hard to believe he was at one time a highly ranked prospect. EDIT: Now that I said that, he will probably go 3 for 4, with two 2B and a HR!
  3. Tough for Walsh to "figure it out" if he never plays...
  4. According to Rotoworld: Jason Rogers - 1B - Pirates Pirates recalled INF Jason Rogers from Triple-A Indianapolis. He earned a promotion by hitting .366/.435/.683 with three homers at Indy. Rogers will likely serve mainly as a pinch-hitter but could see some starts at first base versus lefties. Apr 22 - 5:51 PM
  5. I was going to post pretty much the exact same thing. I just see no purpose in him taking up a roster spot. The gritty veteran presence in his case is extremely over-rated.
  6. ^ what Geezy said... I'd like to add that former T-Rats players, with the organization or not, are far better than more Hank the Freaking Dog bobbles... I like it when they do former players from a nostalgia perspective, even if they are no longer with the organization. T-Rats fans are still T-Rats fans, and those of us who go to a lot of games for a lot of years appreciate the resin statues of our memories.
  7. 3 innings, 7 K, no runs, earned or unearned. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/7214/jim-henderson
  8. I have enjoyed watching this team play this year 10x more than last year's squad. I have no expectations, which makes it that much more fun when they win. The only thing that has really frustrated me so far is watching Peralta become toast...
  9. and again, typical Carlos Gomez... He did not once think about stopping at 2B, he was going as soon as that throw got past Carter, no matter what. I just don't miss that kind of nonsense...
  10. Colby Rasmus looks like a fool with all that stupid looking hair...
  11. I certainly didn't hate Carlos Gomez, but I grew to dislike watching him play... I wasn't sad or disappointed in any capacity when he was traded, his act grew tired in my book.
  12. ...and there is the Carlos Gomez we all know and love.
  13. no doubt, it is an ongoing thing for the Brewers...
  14. Carter is going to provide some great moments this season for sure, I hope he hits 50!
  15. that was a nice base running mistake...why? we should keep a tab of stupid base running mistakes for the entire season... EDIT: ...ad cost us a run with Carter's blast...
  16. I love me some Scooter! He has become my favorite Brewer!
  17. oops, my bad, the ones from 2016 were not listed above... 2016: 7/2/16 Rick Sweet 8/6/16 Olympic Sox the Fox
  18. Nothing listed yet. I don't know why Helena and Brevard County don't get on the bobble bandwagon. Seems rather short sighted on their part...
