  1. So, we didn't get a Brat to finish the full sized series II or the Stitch-n-Pitch sausage series. They have ignored the Brat for 2 years now in both series. Makes zero sense. I REALLY hope they plan to do them next year, but I'm not so sure that whoever makes those decisions even knows... I wonder if there is a new guy/gal in charge of that position the past 2 seasons? Disappointed...
  2. Ghostbusters for 100% certain go on sale Friday at 9:00 am. I have not seen a date for the Super Hero, but since they announced it the day after the Ghostbusters, I would assume it will be the same. I'm pretty curious about a stitch-n-pitch event bobble. Are they going to abandon that set, and leave us without the Brat to complete that sausage set? If so, that would be pretty lame. I still can't believe they did Hank the Dog last year instead of finishing the sausages. I realize that the marketing guys, or whoever comes up with the bobble decisions, probably aren't collectors, but if they choose to ignore the collectors on this sausage set, that would really stink. The majority of the SnP bobbles go to collectors, that is what gets butts in the seats on the SnP nights, not the people who actually do needlepoint, etc. To not be aware of that would be a mistake, but then again, what can we do about it? After all, they have ignored the Brat to finish the second full sized set of the sausages for 2 years now, instead, doing Hank the Dog. (So sick of the marketing this little mutt has generated, but that is another story all together) I'm telling you, the Brat gets no respect, and which of the sausages would be a hallmark to Wisconsin? THE BRAT! Ok, sorry, rant over.
  3. I suppose, the 4 retired numbers would make some sense... I don't want to see Garza either, I hope he never gets a bobble in a Brewers uniform. If they did current players, Luc woud be a lock, but I don't think he'll be here by that time. I am shocked they are doing the Super Hero Lucroy, seems like quite a gamble with him being shopped and on the block... They must be in production, or close to it by now. If he gets traded before that date, that bobble may never see the light of day, and would become pretty collectible. You know some would leak out somehow.
  4. Sox goes for about $25 plus shipping. Counsell is all over the place in price. I've seen them from $30 - $50 normally, but eBay will have them listed at $69.99 and $79.99 occasionally. They just don't come up for sale much, and it seems like a lot of Brewers collectors don't even know they exist.
  5. Sox the Fox 8/15/15 Craig Counsell 8/22/15 They were both given out with almost no notice, and I didn't even know about the Counsell until after it was already given out. It seemed like they kept it a secret for some reason.
  6. If the Ghostbusters goes with current players, I'd think that Braun, Scooter, Nelson and Peralta will be the players.. Those 4 are pretty safely going to still be on the roster at that time. I really hope they don't do a Yount, Molitor, Gantner and Thomas... Time for a break from the same old recycled guys.
  7. Another announcement today, Special Event Superhero night, April 30th. Lucroy Bobblehead... Does this mean they do not think he will be traded by that time? Since it is early in the season, they probably will have to get a start on producing them, right? Hopefully the Stitch-n-Pitch is announced next, and that is the end of it... 12 bobbles now for the Brewers in 2016. That is enough already...
  8. I doubt they will do one, they hardly ever do (Only Manny the Manatee has ever been given out) , but with all the other Brewers teams getting in on the action, they might join in at some point.
  9. 7/2/16 Rick Sweet 8/6/16 Olympic Sox the Fox They did do two last year. Sox the Fox 80's and Craig Counsell.
  10. Nothing official yet, but I heard they have a couple planned...
  11. Typically, if you get there an hour before game time, you should be ok. In April and May, you can probably get there a little later, and sometimes in the hotter months of June and July, you might have to plan an hour and a half, depending on what bobble is being given out and if it is a weekend game. It's all a crapshoot really... I'd guess the Fang and Hank dual will draw a lot of people this year...
  12. Special Event Ghostbusters Quad bobble added yesterday. Tickets go on sale Friday! Brings the total 2016 bobblehead count to 11, which does not include the inevitable Stitch-n-Pitch bobblehead or the possibility of a 2nd Major League Night bobble... Stay tuned!
  13. Would his wife be part of the deal? Google her. yowsa!
  14. I'm actually pretty tired of the speculation, I want him gone as soon as they get the right offer. I don't want him here for spring training, I don't want him here for opening day, I don't want him here at the trade deadline, and I don't want him here at season's end, at which point we get to have another full off season on where he will end up. I am scared to death he is going to get another concussion, which then gives him a history of concussions. If that happens, we lose BIG! Move him out ASAP for the best package offered and don't look back.
  15. Well in all honestly all he would have to be is a Norichika Aoki type player at third base. I am not saying stat wise, but the value they have at their positions. If he becomes a solid maybe slightly above average third baseman he could be flipped for a solid player. He doesn't figure to get much in terms of years or cash so the risk would be low. I am not advocating such a move, but it wouldn't be outlandish to sign him and have a chance to flip him for something similar to what we got for Aoki or for more lower level flyers. But in that case, why wouldn't a team that wants him just offer more than us in years or dollars and not have to give up anything other than that to get him? We have a rampant "flip him" philosophy on these boards. have you ever actually taken notice how many posters mention signing a player, trading for a player, etc so we can "flip him" later? It is a constant barrage of people thinking we should just do that on everyone available to us. Seriously, just start paying attention to how many posters use that line of thinking. If it were that easy flipping players, don't you think every team would just grab the players themselves before having to trade for the guy they want? Sheeesh.
  16. 32 in June? Is that in Cuban years? There is probably the chance he is 34 in June.
  17. Not sure where you live, but yea, this is the norm in a lot of places. Ridiculous? Sure. And you aint seen nothing yet. As they get older, parties are an event- often times held at entertainment places. And yes, you will feel the pressure to spend a ton to do the same, since everyone else is. I probably shouldn't tell you she'll expect a cell phone when she's 10, because all her friends have one already : ) 10? I know parents who give their kids a phone at 7 or 8. What a sad society we have become...
  18. Hard liquor. A virus is a living organism, and alcohol can kill living organisms, so if a viral organism absorbs a molecule of alcohol the viral organism will die. It's why the "Irish cure for a cold" (whiskey) really works. Get your BAC up high enough (but not too high) so that the alcohol in your blood steam will kill the viral organisms - try three or four shots an hour (depending on size/body weight) for 2-3 hours (or until you see two bottles) then go to bed. Do that a couple of times and you'll shorten the course of the infection. Vodka with an orange juice chase (get some vitamin C) should be tolerable. 3 or 4 shots an hour for 2-3 hours? Wow, I think I'd be totaled, and the hangover would be worse than the virus...
  19. nope...it goes on and on and on... So much so, that for the last 2 years, Hank the Dog has gotten more respect than our beloved Brat racing sausage. They are once again ignoring the Brat to finish the second full size set of the sausages. Hopefully, they remember that set in 2017, would be a shame for the Brat to never get to join his companions in the #2 set. I am still holding out hope the Brat finishes the stitch n pitch set this year. Last year, Hank the Dog took the Brats rightful spot... The Brat gets no respect.
  20. Depends. What is "this?" Re: 3 foot bill hall bobble How in the heck did you know that BSC? lol Are you psychic? If anyone is thinking of getting rid of 3 foot Brewers bobbles, I'd be interested in them... As far as value of a 3 foot Bill Hall, I'd say that would be a mystery. I turned down a JJ Hardy and Bill Hall last year for $300 for the pair. Kind of wish I had gotten them now though.
  21. haters gonna hate!
  22. I don't like losing Wagner, not one single bit... Sneed and Wagner were two of my favorite t-rats to watch, I hope what we got in return is worth it.
  23. I don't think it would take a "good young shortstop" though... We have depth there for the first time in forever.
