  1. Chryst seems like an obvious choice to me. (I played baseball and football with him in high school, so I am hoping he is the man)
  2. I'm just glad we didn't resign the guy... Odds are he beats us once or twice next season, but it is what it is... Hopefully Rickie goes anywhere but St. Louis. I just don't want to see him in a Cardinals uniform, ever.
  3. You'll get no argument from me on that thought. The thought of watching RRR for another year, doing the same stupid things he has done since he came to Milwaukee sickens me. If ever there was going to be a reason to start fresh, and hire new management last year was it, but we did nothing... I'll leave it at that, since this board doesn't typically agree with the negative sentiments toward our manager.
  4. Latest: Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Cardinals are showing some interest in Rickie Weeks. They like him as a right-handed bat off the bench and potentially as an alternative at first base. The market for Weeks has been pretty quiet so far, but he could have more appeal if he expresses a willingness to play the outfield. The 32-year-old batted .274/.357/.452 with eight home runs over 286 plate appearances in a part-time role with the Brewers this past season. Source: Tom Haudricourt on Twitter Dec 10 - 8:25 AM
  5. Not to mention, he wasn't interested in changing positions with us, why would anyone think he'd be doing it for someone else? I think Rickie will get a contract with someone, but I highly doubt it will be to play anything other than 2B.
  6. UUUGGGHHH! I don't give a rat's rear end about Reynolds, but I'd hate to see Rickie end up in St. Louis. http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/mlb/baseball?r=1 Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Cardinals are interested in Mark Reynolds and Rickie Weeks. He also lists John Mayberry, Kyle Blanks, Gaby Sanchez and Corey Hart as potential targets, though he hasn't been able to confirm interest in them as he has with Weeks and Reynolds. The Cards are looking for some right-handed thump off the bench, as well as a potential platoon partner for Matt Adams at first base. Reynolds would seem to be a better fit than Weeks in that regard, as Weeks has never played first base and likely should be able to find more playing time elsewhere. 7. Forgive me, but I can't even begin to imagine Corey Hart ever playing in the outfield again. His knees are shot, he is now older, and his health is a major issue from here on out. To be honest, I want no part of him returning as a Brewer.
  8. Did anyone go to the T-Rats rummage sale this year and pick any of these up? I was unable to go this year, and was curious if they had them out or not. Also, if anyone picked some up they'd want to trade or sell, let me know. I have quite a few of them from 2010 and 2011, thinking I'd start collecting them. They should have had 2012-2014 at this year's sale since they didn't have a rummage sale since 2011.
  9. So the sale is advertised for Friday and Saturday, but special accommodations are made for a select few to go through on Thursday and get the best stuff? That is false advertising. There is now way the good stuff is still left on Friday if the best stuff is already grabbed up on Thursday. I always expect more from the Brewers but am always let down at their greediness and unwillingness to give everyone the same shot at their goodies. I work, I'm sure a lot of folks here work, so how can we get there on a Friday during the day? Whatever...
  10. This does not excite me, in fact, it has the opposite effect. I was hoping he would be gone.
  11. 1. 4/12/15 "Double" Lucroy 2. 4/24/15 Lorenzo Cain 3. 5/03/15 Mike Fiers 4. 5/17/15 Hank the Dog 5. 6/04/15 Clint Coulter 6. 6/29/15 Aramis Ramirez 7. 7/16/15 Mike Jirschele 8. 7/26/15 Wily Peralta 9. 8/13/15 Fang in Corvette Stingray 10. 8/24/15 Jimmy Nelson 11. 9/03/15 Fan's Choice
  12. No one should ever be untouchable if the right offer was on the table...
  13. It would be a boost for sure, but we still have a black hole of questions at 1B, and if Ramirez goes down for any length of time, we have 2 offensive positions that need to be upgraded at 1B and 3B... Braun being back to normal helps us tremendously, but we still need a better roster to have him push us over the edge.
  14. Sooooooo, who would be our SS in 2015 if we dump Segura? Makes no sense. I'd be mega interested in Paxton, but no interest in Kemp at his current salary.
  15. Thankfully...
  16. Everytime I see this thread pop up again, I have to laugh yet again... The Brewers will not even be close to signing Scherzer, the thought is like a cartoon... Just isn't going to happen.
  17. Yup. We met in library school, which is as dorky as it sounds. This is amazing! I had no idea there was such thing as library school...
  18. If 1B was as easy as you think to play, wouldn't there be a lot more guys who suck in the field learning to play it? I'm opposite of you, I think too many people think 1B is so easy to play that ANYONE can move to that position, which just isn't true.
  19. Just curious, why not?
  20. I saw a set of lockers at an antique store that were once in the dressing room of the "PARADISE CLUB," a strip club that recently closed here in Appleton... Is it wrong that I wanted to purchase them?
  21. Paramore is big? Who is Paramore?
  22. Cheap Trick still brings it in concert, one of my favorite bands ever! I hope it's them, I hope it's them, I HOPE IT"S THEM!
  23. Imagine the haul they could have gotten in a trade?
  24. Hope he enjoys playing on a cash strapped team for the rest of his career...
