Yeah, after all , we have Overbay, Reynolds and Francisco to man 1B...We are in great shape.

It is beyond me why we want anything to do with a 1B (Reynolds) that will strike out 200 times, hit .220 if we are lucky, and be a defensive liability... 25 home runs do not make up for all his shortcomings. It angers me that is our plan going into 2014.

Not looking forward to the Mark Reynolds as an every day starter experiment. I have a sneaky suspicion I will hate him as bad as Ynui in the grand scheme of things. Yuk.

Taylor at 1B is more than likely NOT an option, ever... He is tiny is stature... Everything I read says he is 6'0" tall, but I think that is being generous, unless he has grown in the off season. I love this kid, enjoyed every moment of watching him in person last season, but he does not look as big as they are saying. Roache seems like an obvious choice to put at 1B, kid is an absolute horse, and crushes the ball hard! By far my favorite player on last year's T-Rats team. His 2nd half was monstrous, it really appeared that his wrist injury was behind him. Now, a season later, I will be surprised if he doesn't absolutely take off!

If he is beaten out by "O", we want no part of him anyway...

I'd also like to make another prediction. Mark Reynolds will be a complete and total bust, not even reaching the serviceable tag. He will flop, and it will take our management 1/2 the season or more to detect it. He will also be forced into our everyday 3B when ARam gets hurt, leaving Francisco to man 1B full time. Reynolds and Francisco starting every day at the corners will account for 10 losses defensively on their own. UGHHH!

NO rummage sale? I got a message from Fang himself on facebook telling me there would be a rummage sale... Weird. Did anyone go for the big team store sale?

I'm just hoping for no alternates/retro versions... Gomez is a nice looking bobble, someone is finally thinking outside the box! (last year's George Scott was a good start) I hope to see more interesting poses this year, not the standard pitchers throwing, hitters standing with bat poised, etc...

I will be out of town and unable to attend but would love to hear what some of you were able to pick up. They didn't have a rummage sale last year due to the stadium renovations, so they will have 2 seasons worth of game-used stuff and bargains all packed into one rummage sale. (I talked to the front office last year, and they said they were saving the 2012 stuff which would have been in last years sale and adding it to this year's 2013 stuff sale) This sale could be absolutely epic and possibly their best sale ever! I am completely bummed I won't be able to participate since I started collecting the actual player locker signs a few years ago. Knowing that there will be 2 years of them there is painful to think about, knowing my collection will end after the 2011 season. I am wondering if they will be selling bobbles as well... I have made a thread each year describing the sale and what was there for the fans, but can't do it this year, just hoping that you guys can shed a little light on what went on...

I don't think that is true, there are just people there who are complete arrogant jerks, and get annoyed when you don't agree with everything they say. Have you noticed that there are a couple posters there who immediately begin swearing and hurling insults when things don't go their way, or even if they just don't agree with you? For whatever reason, they never get challenged. I have my opinions on the hobby, and will let them know it, simple as that... Never will I throw insults and start cussing though, that is their game, not mine.

I see a lot of talk about this guy, and he sure appears to have a lot of fans on this site, but I see no reason to be all excited about him... Like Gamel, he has a lot of hype, but never seems to be able to get things together. I hope I am wrong, but I have no faith that he will be of any help to this team ever again.
