  1. As long as our manager doesn't get one...Please, no RRR bobble! PLEASE?! Segura and Lohse are a lock. Scooter and Davis if they are penciled in as starters. 1. Segura (regular and retro) 2. Lohse )regular and retro) 3. Sausage (Brat or Chorizo) 4. Scooter (regular and retro) 5. Davis (regular and retro) 6. Henderson (regular and retro) 7. Ted Simmons (regular and retro) 8. Pete Vukovich (regular and retro) 9. Stitch -n- Pitch (Brat or Italian) I heard that there is going to be a season ticket holder only Segura... If so, following the giants plan sucks. Put out as many bobbles as humanly possible, hoping to increase ticket sales and drive the bobble collectors nuts. I am losing interest to be honest, just too many to try and get with all the alternates and secrets...
  2. That is more than awesome! Who has this kind of time? lol
  3. http://bleacherreport.com/tb/dbrgY?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=milwaukee-brewers I am not on board with bringing back guys who couldn't hack it the first time through. It seems we are always linked to guys we cut or traded. If not by the media then by the fans.
  4. Impending free agent Bronson Arroyo is eyeing a three-year deal this winter and doesn't believe the Reds will be the team that gives it to him. Arroyo will turn 37 in February, but with his track record of durability, asking for a three-year pact isn't unreasonable. "I have no preference on where I want to pitch but I’ll certainly consider the team, their chances of winning, and all of that," he said. "I feel I can pitch effectively at 37, 38, and 39 years old. I’ve never missed a start. Never been injured. I’m not a max-effort guy out there, so there’s no big-time wear and tear on me. I loved Cincinnati but I don’t think they’re in position to give me what I want." The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo lists the Blue Jays, Orioles, Brewers, Cubs, Giants, Pirates, Cardinals, and Dodgers as teams that could have interest in Arroyo this winter. Source: Boston Globe Oct 6 - 9:59 AM Please, please, please NOOOOOOOOO!
  5. As long as Weeks is on our roster, our manager will not be able to stop himself from playing him, more than likely as our starting 2B.
  6. Thanks pepsi, but I picked 2 of them up on ebay for $10 shipped. If anyone is interested, I have an extra to trade for another interesting Brewers SGA. Could be anything really...
  7. Actually, he said it has to do with being a racist above: I don't care much one way or another, but I suppose the more Lation/hispanic players we get into the league, the more it will start to resemble their culture. Personally, I like the old "unwritten rules" standards of the game, but that is just me.
  8. You think this has to do with race? I think it just has to do with McCann being a knob... I highly doubt being Latino has a single thing to do with what McCann does.
  9. ...or they will start the year with Weeks as their starting 2B, hoping desperately that he has a hot start so they can trade him. When that doesn't happen, it will take RRR 2 months of every day starts to finally decide that he is still horrible.
  10. I'm going for the Pirates! If they get knocked out, I no longer care as long as it isn't the Cardinals, Reds or Red Sox.
  11. I picked one of these up... No idea where and when it was given out. The seller has no information, and I came up dry on google. http://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Canning-Jr-Bobblehead-SGA-Milwaukee-Brewers-Minority-Owner-/281175439420?pt=US_Baseball_Fan_Shop&hash=item41775cb83c Minority Brewers owner, looks good next to Attanasio. Not an official Brewers release, but figured I'd grab one just in case it became a high value bobble in the future.
  12. Does anyone have one of these they want to get rid of? http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Robin-Yount-Milwaukee-Brewers-SGA-8-2-2013-40Th-16-X-20-/00/s/NzQ2WDEwMDA=/z/yykAAMXQGQRR~KQD/$(KGrHqR,!rQFHZ5f,ocbBR+KQC7vHw~~60_57.JPG
  13. Brewers general manager Doug Melvin said Tuesday that Scooter Gennett has "an edge right now" over Rickie Weeks for the starting second base job, but that a decision will be made during spring training. Gennett impressed in his first taste of the big leagues this season, batting .324/.356/.479 with six home runs and 21 RBI over 230 plate appearances. The Brewers figure to shop Weeks this winter, but there might not be much interest coming off a down year and hamstring surgery. Source: Adam McCalvy on Twitter Oct 1 - 11:25 AM
  14. Brewers general manager Doug Melvin acknowledged Tuesday that the club has discussed moving Ryan Braun to right field in order to make room for Khris Davis in left field. Davis has limited range, but the Brewers want to find a way to get him into the lineup after he batted .279/.353/.596 with 11 home runs and 27 RBI over 153 plate appearances as a rookie this year. Moving Braun to right field would make Norichika Aoki the odd man out, but there would be plenty of interest in him on the trade market given his team-friendly 2014 option. It's worth noting that the Brewers haven't discussed the idea with Braun yet, so it's no sure thing. Source: Adam McCalvy on Twitter Oct 1 - 11:27 AM
  15. I would think that all 3 of those guys will be bumped up to Brevard County next season... If Roache is truly over his wrist injury (which sure looked like the case as last season wore on) I would expect him to open a lot of eyes next season. I saw Wagner pitch a few times and every time he just looked like he was a man among boysl. I think this kid is for real.
  16. Bad baseball is better than no baseball at all I suppose... This is always a depressing time of the year. First, the T-Rats season ends, then the Brewers... I'm not a Packers fan (I am a die hard Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan) so local sports just plain ends for me... (Also not an NBA fan at all.)
  17. For me, "because" we endured Ned Yost and Ken Macha, I expected better... I think he is the worst of the three, but my opinion is no secret to these parts. Having to watch him at the helm of another season disgusts me, and ruins all excitement I have for the 2014 season. Sticking with RRR makes me believe that MA and DM are happy with him, and that they think he does a good job, and are not willing to make an improvement for the better of the team and it's future. Spinning our wheels just plain sucks. This is my last post on the matter...
  18. The Brewers announced that manager Ron Roenicke and his entire staff will return for the 2014 season. In a difficult season that was mired by superstar Ryan Braun's suspension, and injuries to several key players, Roenicke did a nice job keeping the team together. It will be his fourth season at the helm of the Brewers. Source: Danny Knobler on Twitter Sep 28 - 3:47 PM
  19. If MLB ever looks anything like the NFL as far as player antics on the field, that is when my fandom will cease to exist.
  20. I'm sure adrenaline gets pumping, and if any player has a tendency to be a hothead, it comes out in these situations... I can say this much, if this happened to the Brewers, and Lucroy did what McCann did, as fans, we'd all be loving it to death.
  21. I'm a little surprised there is not thread to discuss the events of last night... Is anyone still watching?
  22. No way Davis is only a 20 HR guy in a full season of at bats. The thing that a lot of people forget is that this guy is a hitter, he hits for average AND power. I think 25-30 HR per season would be a good starting point. For whatever reasons, Davis is under rated, by the media, the organization, and the fans...
  23. Thornburg, at the very least, has earned his shot at one of our starting 5 next season. Not giving him a serious look would be ridiculous. What else does a guy have to do?
  24. That's dumb but how is that different from Ronald. Not sure why you bring that up in a Ned Yost thread. I happen to think RR kinda sucks at managing the pen too although at least he is willing to let his closer get more than 3 outs. Macha, for all his leadership faults, could at least manage a pen. Maybe he brought it up because both were/are managers who can't manage a bullpen? Or maybe he brought RRR up just as you did Macha. Sometimes things just come into the conversation...
