  1. 2ndly, RRR. If he is allowed to stay one more year, I'm going to flip...Actually flip, not pretend flip.
  2. A lot of people on ebay trying to mislead buyers, which is why the Brewers should publically let it be known about their SGA bobbles.
  3. Where did you see this?
  4. Maybe they just distributed all the Blue boxes, and the undistributed boxes were mostly the white ones? That might explain the situation if they still have 10,000 left, and they are all the white ones...
  5. Guy I know got 6 whites, 0 blues. He said they all came from the same box. The way they distribute them is just ridiculous. He tried to trade someone in front of him for a blue, and they wouldn't do it. The guy told him that the blues were the retro and worth a lot more. lol This is exactly the reason that the Brewers need to let the fans know ahead of time exactly what they are giving out. EDIT: LOL at Hitman_Hart !
  6. Is this a fact? 100% certain? Geez, if it isn't one thing it's another with these stupid bobble give-aways.
  7. I saw the Roache HR in person. It was absolutely crushed!!!! The only other player I have seen clear the score board at Time Warner Stadium was Prince Fielder when he was with the Snappers... So impressive to see a ball off the bat like that when you 100% know on contact it is gone, a no-doubter. Goosebumps I tell ya!
  8. I also had heard 50/50, Oglivie is also supposed to be 50/50, with Gorman only having one. Just seemed odd that ebay was filled with so many blues, and so few pinstripes...
  9. Well, is there a mystery involved here? The overwhelming majority on ebay are blue, very few pinstripes up for auction. Is there any way to verify this was indeed 50/50? Anyone have today's program? Did it say anything there about the bobbles? I am not a fan of how the Brewers have marketed their SGA bobbles this year. Why the mystery? Just stop the alternates already, or clearly let the fans know what they are giving away.
  10. If I am paying for CBS and NBC and I am not able to view them, this angers me. I don't care about the politics of the situation, I am paying for a service I am no longer getting.
  11. Which is why it might be time for the Brewers to get new evaluators. Trotting this guy out there on a team going nowhere is completely embarrassing. As opposed to trotting him out there on a team in contention such as in 2011? He actually produced pretty well in the playoffs. If the team is going nowhere this year, it shouldn't be embarrassing at all. How can you embarrass a last place team? If the Brewers had anything to lose this season, then I could see someone reasonably complaining about a questionable player. As it stands, Yuni is not a major reason why this team is in last place. Yuni never can win. If he produces, its a fluke. If he slumps or makes mistakes, its "same old Yuni". Imagine if Yuni went through a "Craig Counsell" type slump. Even through Yuni hits more home runs in a season than Counsel does in 5 years, Yuni would be completely lambasted. It's embarrassing that he is blocking someone else for playing time that may have a spot on this team in the future. Yuni should not be any part of our future plans, but knowing how much Melvin and our manager love the guy, I can see him back next year, and probably the year after. We may be a last place team, but playing a guy like Yuni at any offensive position ever (1B or 3B) just seems like we are giving up, and have nothing better waiting in the wings. This veteran loyalty is so misplaced in this situation, yet he continues to be used, when there have to be countless other options. If Yuni is the best we can offer, then we truly are in dire straits. I am still having a hard time believing that you are honestly defending our use of Yuni on this MLB team. I think you are just messing with us, trying to get reaction...
  12. Send Khris Davis back to the minors, let the kid get some at bats there since RRR can't seem to give him a start here. Frustrating.
  13. Hmmmmm, I know someone with a connection to the EC team, and he said there were 1000 of them... Interesting.
  14. Forgot about this thread. Rock USA was a success. My take on some of the bands. Didnt see any of the bands on day one. None of them interested me, so I didn't go. (Spiritual Plague, Lovehammers, Saliva, Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold) Missed Slaughter on day two. Great White didn't have their original lead singer, they had some guy with a british accent. They were no better than a bar band, and didn't hold much of my interest. I give them a D, and that might be generous. Queensryche was an unexpected success for me. This was the Geoff Tateless version of Queensryche so I didn't expect much. Boy was I wrong, the new guy sounded excellent. I didn't think there was anyone else that could sound that much like Tate. It was amazing actually. I would rather see the original, but with a guy that sounds that much like the original, it didn't effect the show at all. They have such a great catalogue of songs, and went mostly with the old stuff, which was a plus. I give them an A-, based solely on the fact that Tate was not there. I've never been an Anthrax fan, and seeing them live didn't change my mind. It was just thrashing crap. Not my style of music, I admit, but I just saw no value in anything they did on stage. Their lead singer is old, and seems out of place dropping the F bomb so frequently, while plodding along through his screaming and trash backed nonsense. I don't mean to offend any Anthrax fans, but that show was unimpressive. I give them a D-. Twisted Sister rocked my socks off! I had never seen them live, and was looking forward to it. Dee Snider didn't disappoint, and was an absolute madman on stage. Dee interacted with the crowd a lot, and was pretty funny at times. I was glad they were not wearing the ridiculous costumes from the 80's. Just looked like a rock and roll band, minus the clown suits!!! TS are not the most gifted musicians, I admit that, but they killed it as a rock and roll band entertaining the masses! I give them an A!! Day 3 had few bands I was interested in, so I didn't make it out to see Almost Kings, or Midnight Empire. Which brings me to the worst musical experience of my life. Sevendust was garbage. Horrible garbage. They sounded like 4 guys who ad never played before, just picked up random instruments and started playing. The singer (or maybe Screamer/yeller would be a better title) just screamed and yelled the entire time. Sounded a lot like the cookie monster. It wasn't music, it was a pathetic excuse for crap. After the first song, I looked at my buddy and said if the next song is anything like that one, I'm leaving. He agreed. 3 notes into the next song, we were already on our way... If this is what kids call music these days, I feel more sorry for them than before. Sevendust is weak crap. F F F F F F F Chevelle was ok, but pretty boring. Almost no kind of stage show, and very little interaction with the crowd. Music was good, but they just seem so limited. A giant step up from Sevendust, but not a band I feel I would ever have to see live again. I give them a C. Godsmack was great! Very impressive sound, especially compared to the previous bands. I have found a new respect for them, and that is saying a lot since I don't like much of the stuff that is coming out these days. Just a kick butt straight forward rock band. Powerful stuff, powerful voice, and entertaining as hell! I give them an A. Day 4 started out with Road Trip, basically a glorified cover band. I had no interest in them, but the crowd seemed pretty pumped during their show. As I said the crowd loved them, but not my cup of tea. Dokken were bad. Don Dokken just needs to hang it up. His voice sounded pretty good, but there was no stage presence. Just an old guy telling storied from the glory days, and I honestly don't think anyone cared. The sound was not very good, kind of muffled. They played all their good tunes, and there are a lot to choose from, but the delivery was just not that good. I give them a D+. A shame too, I used to like them a lot back in the day. Saw them live on their Tooth and Nail tour and they were great. Jackyl is what I expected. A true party band, but possibly a little too much on the redneck side for my liking. They put on a great show, but didn't play a couple of their obvious selections. Their latest album is great, kicks butt, but they did not play Screwdriver, which has gotten some radio play, and would truly have been a crowd pleaser. Their sound was ok, but not as crisp and clear as Godsmack the night before. They disappointed me, but only because I saw them in the 90's, and they were a lot better back then. I'll give them a B-. Ratt was one of the bands I looked forward to most. They put on a great show, all original member except for Robin Crosby, who died from Aids a long time ago. My only complaint was Pearcy's voice. It is half fried, adn I can't be sure if the biggest problem was their sound mixing. His voice just wasn't very audible throughout their performance. He was also pretty lifeless on stage compared to the other times I saw them in the 80's. They played a great set of songs though, so I still enjoyed the heck out of them. B+ Van Halen...The festivals closing act. Not what I expected. David Lee Roth thinks he is in Vegas. His voice was not able to do anything like it did in the glory days. He is a showman though, and the fans seemed to eat him up. The music was tight, and good. Eddie hasn't lost a step, and performed a great solo. ALex was awesome, and Wolfie did a fine job on bass. (Can't compare to Michael Anthony though...) They put on an entertaining show to say the least, but Roth is so weird these days. Also old. lol There is no getting away from the fact that these bands from the 80's are old, but some really pull it off better than others. Dee Snider put DLR to shame. Van Halen was a trip to see live, but I can't give them better than a B. I just expected so much more. There you have it. My take on the 2013 Rock USA festival. It is what it is.
  15. Don't be surprised to see Yuni B. in a Brewers uniform next year. DM and RRR must just love the guy.
  16. Still looking for a Stomper, I have extra Timber Rattlers Fang bobble tails if anyone is interested...
  17. Staying with the possibility of getting rid of Melvin, I think a complete house cleaning is in order. Get rid of Melvin, and it would be that much easier to can RRR as well. Frankly, I don't think that Attanasio has the guts to fire either of them. I think they are in it for the long haul, which leads me to believe that Mark A. is pretty disillusioned about the current team and management. The way the OFers are being handled right now is beyond frustrating for me, it has entered the realm of being angry, damn angry, and I'm sick of it. With Braun out for the season we have the opportunity to make a bad situation good by seeing what we have. These guys will not develop on our bench, and having them "hope" to get some playing time is just a ridiculous way to try and see what we have for the future. I feel bad for these guys being handled this way, they just can't get into any kind of rhythm to try and figure things out. What we really have is 3 outfielders that we can't get a good read on because they just aren't getting consistent playing time. Our manager is clueless. he is a complete doofus who no longer deserves the job. I have never made threats that I will stop following this team in the past, and there have been plenty of instances where I wanted to, but I just can't stand to see this guy in our manager uniform any longer. He is horrible, and that is putting it mildly. I hate this season, and to be honest, I don't see it getting better in the future as long as RRR is managing this team. Most of my frustrations this season have been based on his managing style, not the fact that we have had multiple injuries, the Braun fiasco, etc... (Melvin entering the season with no 1B plan is a close second) I just can't stand this any longer. I have been tuning in to games less frequently as of late, and that is very uncharacteristic of me as I have the game on every night without fail. Watching a post game presser with RRR is not even an option any longer if I want to keep my sanity. For the love of God, please get rid of this idiot before next season so we can at least get a freash take on this team. That is all I ask.
  18. I seriously don't know if you are just teasing us, or you are the one and only Yuni fan on this board. I'm confused.
  19. Is there still cubs hate out there? I can't get past my undying hatred for the Cardinals to even have the energy to waste on hating the cubs. Maybe when they become a threat again someday, but they are so hapless right now (like us), I feel no hate.
  20. Then what are we waiting for, lock him up with an extension for next year, or better yet, lock him up for the next 4 years, before someone else scoops him up!!!!
  21. Assuming all those players pan out... Nothing is guaranteed.
  22. The Warriors, Major League and Caddyshack for me. Breakfast Club is right there too...
