I have been a big Scooter supporter since his season in Appleton. Same with Davis. Now they are getting their shot, and making the most of it. Small samples yes, but compared to the absolute garbage we put up with at 2B this year, Scooter is doing his job admirably. Love it when the young guys step up, hopefully, RRR and Melvin are beginning to realize that you don't have to be a well traveled grisly veteran to help a team win... Take notes boys, learn from this for once.

Davis doesn't need to play RF, move Braun over, and insert Davis as our starting LF. -
There is no excuse not to have this guy starting for the 2014 club. There are options out there to make this happen, but we can't have a bat like this rotting on the bench, or crammed away in the minor leagues. At the very least, he has earned the right to be considered as a starter for the 2014 season. we are getting the exact kind of look he deserves with the misfortune of the Braun situation, and he is making the most of it. Surely RRR and DM have noticed right? It is time to move Braun to RF and give LF to Davis. Trade Aoki and be done with it. If not, teach this kid during the off-season to play 1B, but I just don't think he has the stature for that position. He is an outfielder, play him in the outfield, simple as that. A good organization will find a way to play him, his bat is just too good to waste. I don't want to see Braun at 1B, get a real true 1B and let the outfielders play outfield. 23 games as our starting LF and the kid has 8 homers and 17 RBIs. Ryan Braun who? Now if only Hunter Morris can have his shot, we may be pleasantly surprised...

Scooter has no power, none. He is only a singles hitter.

...and Scotter goes back to back with Khrush! I am loving these two guys! Davis has to have a starting spot on this team next year, either Braun moves, or he learns 1B. His bat is just way too good to sit on the bench, or rot away in the minors.

Just saw this for the first time last night, wasn't real impressed, but there were some very funny parts... I think this is a movie that you had to enjoy at the time it came out to really get it.

So we have relegated Thornburg to the bullpen, in a lost season, and some of you think he will make the rotation next year? One of the most maddening things so far this season is the stupidity of RRR demoting Thornburg to the bullpen when he has been nothing short of spectacular. Now is the time to put the guy in the rotation and leave him be to see how he reacts, but no, we put him back in the bullpen so Tommy G can get some starts in...

Nope, not me, the pinstripes was limited to 5000, just like previous years, and this year's Braun... Apparently there was an error when placing the order, and the person doing the ordering ordered 5000 pinstripes and the rest the powder blue uniform... The ineptness amazes me from such a large organization. That and poor marketing is frustrating.

^THIS! Calm down and breathe... we will have the entire story at some point, maybe not today or tomorrow, but it will come out, and if not, it's still just a game.

Anyone have it? I am considering dumping Time Warner cable once and for all. We have TV, Internet and Phone with TWC, and would be switching the entuire works over if we change carriers. Just looking for input to see if anyone else uses them, and if so, pros and cons. Their prices seem to be pretty darn good. Thanks in advance.

Kyle Heckathorn - Forgotten Prospect?
TURBO replied to Jose Cardenal1's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
And I still can't believe that RRR played Kotsay over any other outfielder on our roster in that playoff game... -
Kyle Heckathorn - Forgotten Prospect?

This infuriates me to no end. A team with no playoff chances what-so-ever has no business taking a young guy like this and moving him back to the bullpen with the success he has been having in the starting rotation. If this is RRR's decision with no input from anyone else, he is even dumber than I originally thought. There is no hope for this doofus, if he remains, we can expect the same nonsense until he finally retires. I have no faith that MA has the stones to fire him, for whatever reason, he continuously gets free passes at being a stupid MLB manager. -
The biggest question is this: Is he keeper worthy in fantasy baseball?
-
I was not aware of that, thanks for the information.

In order to get Nelson a few starts, put someone else on the bench. Do we need to see Gorzo starting from here on out? we know what he can do, bring Nelson up to start for someone else, but not Wily! And another thing, why demote Thornburg from the rotation when he has been stellar? Our rotation this season should be looking toward next season. Keep Wily in there, bring up Nelson, keep Thornburg in there someplace, and let Gallardo and Lohse take the other 2 spots. How big a part is Gorzy going to be in the future? we have him for one more year, we can use him in the rotation if need be in the future, but for now, in this lost season, let the youngsters work it out. I hate the way this team is managed from the GM down to RRR. I'd like nothing more than to clean house with all our management and start all over next year, but that will never happen...
-
I say let him pitch to get used to the full season of work theory... It can only help him in the future to get used to the 32 start season. better to let him figure it out now, then to have him poop out after 28-30 in a playoff run in the future.
-
...or did it even really happen?
-
I know what you are saying...I was at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field (Mets) last week and felt the same way. At least I got to see Prince play the Yankees, but he had a horrible game, much like the later part of his season this year... I really liked the Mets stadium better than the Yankees. Just seemed like a nicer atmosphere, and the Mets fans are pretty passionate for having such a crappy team. Fun thing that happened while in New York: We were on our way to the nosebleed section at the Mets game and an official looking Mets employee came up to us and asked us where our tickets were. I told him, and he asked me if we'd be interested in sitting on field level instead, at no cost... I asked him how that could be done, and he said just by accepting the tickets. We took him up on his offer, and sat in $155 (each) seats, right behind the Rockies dugout.... Needless to say, that made our experience sooo much better! Very cool!

God I love that movie!

This question may "bug" some of you, but I've always wanted to try a fried green tomato. Is there a special trick to frying one up, or do you just fry them, simple as that?
-
I am a Scooter supporter, but he won't/can't keep this pace up, but it's fun to watch! He is a guy that is easy to root for, that's for sure.
-
...and the lack of a manger that can actually manage a game won't be an issue either. Replace the coaching staff in 2014.
-
Hopefully there are other managers soon to follow.
-
...and here we are again, the next night, with base running mistakes... Our coaching staff blows. No game thread again? Interest in this team looks to be at an all time low...

These girls a lot more attractive and pretty in person than photos and tv show!!! I met them today, had them sign some stuff for my son who was unable to go to the game with me. My daughter thought I was being funny. I was pretty impressed with how warm and friendly they were, especially Sage (the brunette) and Chyna (the blonde). Just a little bonus on top of afternoon baseball and a T-Rats win!
