  1. hmmmm I can't figure out if this is some sort of reverse belief post... Was this meant to be humorous, or is this what you truly believe? Not ripping your thoughts in any way, just want to get the "joke" if that was your intention. Carry on.
  2. I agree, but then again, the enjoyment of the season was sucked out a long time ago. I just love baseball, but putting this season to rest needs to happen, the sooner the better. I really hope my biggest wish comes true in the off-season, but there is probably a 1% chance, so I guess I'll have to put up with another season of RRR and all he brings, and doesn't bring to the table. *sigh*
  3. Line-ups to follow
  4. Because we are Brewerfan.net. We are always looking to trade a marginal player for someone else's top prospect. I don't think Davis is a "marginal" player, but time will tell I guess. The kid hits a ton, and for whatever reason, that lands him on the trading block on this board. His defense maybe isn't stellar, but it certainly is average.
  5. Uugh. I don't want Hellickson. Partly because something is surely wrong with him, and partly because he is a Boras client, and will be looking for a new contract. No thank you. I think some here are undervaluing Davis. Who cares what kind of prospect he is/was. What matters is that he is getting the job done, and one of the few bright spots we had this year. I'd like to see him open as our every day LFer in 2014. He has earned that right in my opinion.
  6. The only thing that surprises me is that it is only the 2nd worst ever... I would have figured it had to be THE worst ever. Look at the crap we were trotting out there. It is pretty disgusting really. As fans, we should never have to endure that kind of treatment.
  7. Enter Yuni B. *gagging*
  8. I like that we have options in the OF, but I'd like to see Davis in LF, Gomez in CF, and Braun moved to RF. I'd like this to be our every day starting line-up and see what happens. I seriously want no part of Ryan Braun anywhere near one of our infield positions. He is an outfielder, let him play outfield. Trade Aoki for the best deal we can get, and let Gindl be our 4th outfielder. This is what I'd like to see happen.
  9. Hart is not going to come cheap, that is the problem I have in signing him, even to a one year deal. If he really wants to be here, and will play for 3 to 4 million, why not, but anymore than that and I don't see him being worth it. Monty, do you really think a guy like Hart will sell tickets? He hasn't played for a year, I don't think he will be a draw for next season just because he is Corey Hart. I don't think that signing Hart for next season will specifically sell one single ticket...
  10. Actually, isn't the only reason Thornburg is back in the rotation is because Gorz got hurt? Thornburg was sent back to the bullpen when Gorz got healty. It made no difference to RRR that Thornburg was excellent in the rotation. RRR saw a vet ready to return and quickly delegated Thornburg to the bullpen. Made no sense then, and still makes no sense. If Gorz stayed healthy, I believe Thornburg would still be toiling in the bullpen.
  11. Does Japan have any testing in place fr PEDs or other substance use?
  12. 26,000? Wow, so there are another 20,000 of them sitting around someplace... They must have a ton of bobbles laying around from this year, as there were other bobble games that had poor attendance too. I really hope that they don't plan to do as many next year. I heard a rumor that they planned to do 15 bobble dates next season... WAY too many in my opinion. 5 or 6 is plenty. It used to be that bobble games were automatic sell-outs, which is no longer the case.
  13. Like you, I have found myself watching less and less and I am as die-hard as they come... The game threads at least gave me a reason to care, but now that they have dried up, I am becoming a casual observer, and not much more. I really hope the off season gives me a reason to get excited again. Hopefully there will be some changes here and there...
  14. The obvious question is this: Were the Oglivies 50/50 (half pinstripes, half powder blue) or is one version only 5000 produced? Anyone have accurate information?
  15. What is up with his hands on this bobblehead? You'd think these companies would understand a simple thing like how to grip a bat... I can't believe how horrible this is.
  16. ALMOST as bad as starting Mark Kotsay in centerfield for a playoff game...
  17. Absolutely, there is no doubt that Melvin is at fault too, but if you have a manager that you have to micromanage to begin with, that tells me there is a problem with the manager. Doug can follow him right out the door for all I care, as long as RRR is leading the way!!!
  18. This is a typical rant used by a lot of people who... back RRR no matter what the outcome. I don't buy any of the "you can make any manager look like an idiot" nonsense. The guy is an idiot all on his own, it has nothing to do with 2nd guessing, hindsight being 20/20 or any of the other cliche words or phrases you want to come up with. He is a horrible manager and I can not wait until the day comes when he leaves Milwaukee.
  19. We desperately need a new look coaching staff. Not just RRR, it is obvious that clown needs to go, but it goes deeper than him imo.
  20. Doubtful... Not that they don't have them on hand, but I doubt they release any of them until the actual SGA date (Sunday). Won't hurt to ask...
  21. Sadly, I think you are right...
  22. That place is going to be an absolute zoo with free admission.
  23. That is a cop-out, but used by a lot of his supporters none the less... It isn't the talent level that makes me question him on a daily basis, it is how he runs the "material he has to work with." He was incompetent when they went to the play-offs two years ago (they won in spite of his stupidity), and he is incompetent when the talent level is lacking. He is a terrible game manager, and I simply can not wait until Attanasio wises up and shows him the door.
  24. Just another example of our manager not having a clue how to manage this team... If RRR is here next year, my interest in this team is going to be at an all time low. Same thing day in and day out. Complete incompetence.
  25. If Weeks is on our roster to open next season, I just can't see RRR benching him. Scooter will play out this season, and start on the bench next year (assuming that he makes the roster, I won't be surprised to see him starting at AAA until Rickie gets injured again), as we watch Weeks struggle through another putrid season. (my opinion of course...)
