    Our manager. There is something about the guy that absolutely rubs me the wrong way. His demeanor, the way he handles the game, his post game press conferences, you name it. It's no secret I can't stand the guy, so I will try and refrain from comments during the season stating that fact.

    Kyle Lohse -Feb 28, 12:58PM According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the agent (Scott Boras) for right-hander Kyle Lohse called the Yankees and they were not interested in making an offer. Olney also says the Indians are not interested because their budget is stretched too thin. The Brewers might be the best bet for Lohse at this point, though they haven't made any kind of formal proposal. The Rangers have also been loosely linked.

    I would rather see Carlos Lee back in Milwaukee myself. Maybe getting back to his old stomping grounds might rejuvenate him a bit. Of course, it would have to come at a decent price, no way do I want to overpay for a guy we will use for a month to 6 weeks, then have our manager creatively trying to plug him into our line-up for the rest of the season just to keep him happy.

    Thanks for the replies guys! Looks like we will be catching a Mets game and a Yankees game in the time frame we will be there. The Yankees play the Tigers, so I hope to see Sabathia face Prince...

    Hello everyone, My family and I are going to the Big Apple in late summer for a family trip. Wondering if anyone would like to provide pointers, tips, etc on what would make a successful journey. My kids are both in high school, so there really are no limitations as far as what they can do. Looking for some good recommendations on what to see, any insights on how to do it cheaper, and basically anything that the experienced New York traveler can add. Yankee Stadium and Citi Field are givens!!!!! Thanks in advance!

    I think it's the same reason no one else has signed him. He isn't that good. 2 decent years and the rest of his career he has been a flop, or at least below average. He hasn't been signed due to the draft pick and the fact that he just isn't that good...

    but he doesn't throw 95, so what exactly is your point? I'm a Gallardo fan, but I'm not fully convinced he is an ACE in the true sense of the word. He is our ACE, that is for sure. I am counting on Peralta as our #2, and if things work out, he could be our real ACE of the future. I also believe that if Rogers stays healthy, he slots in as our #3. I am not sold on Fiers, but as a #5, I think we are just fine. That leaves our #4 slot to Estrada, knowing full well he starts the season as our #2. I am not behind Narveson starting the season in the rotation, not even a little. He isn't going to push us to being a playoff contender, so why not start him in the bullpen, and if one of Fiers, Rogers, Peralta or Estrada tanks, give him a shot.

    Sadly, I disagree with that statement... I would have taken the bobble, 100% positive! I might be in the minority here, but I need that bobble, the jersey would just be a luxury to me....lol

    If there are no alternates this or any season in the future, I will be a happy camper! It sure appears that there are none this year, but as far as I know, no one has verified that.

    It saddens me that our rotation is such that Narveson has to be a consideration. I am in the minority here, but I was hoping to be past having to use average stuff guys like Narvson to compete for jobs in our starting rotation. I'd much rather see young guys with future potential holding down our #4 and #5 spots rather than guys coming off major surgery that weren't anything special before the surgery to begin with. Was hoping we'd be past that point now, but obviously, if he starts the season in the 5 hole, we are not.

    I don't understand this logic. What do you have against Aoki? If he has the same season he had last year, how can you hope he loses his job? Aoki seems to get no respect from the majority of posters here. I like the guy.

    yeah, that is just a generic face... The other 2 Braun bobbles were facially lame too.

    With our only 2 1B down, I am far more worried about 1B than our OF. We have guys in the minors that can have a shot at OF this year, I like that, but our lack of a 1B terrifies me. I don't view 1B as a position we can just tread water at. We need a guy there who can deliver. Add that to our starting pitching issue, and we may have some serious problems.
