  1. Meh, we still took the series...
  2. Nah, it's normal procedure for you, so I wanted you to know that some people notice your holier than thou attitude on these boards. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, happens often. You made an attempt to make yourself look better than others, and it failed. I realize that you will have to have the last word and to feel you have won, so I'll give you the last word, but you do think you are better than most, and it's good for you to realize that it isn't true.
  3. Those disaster declarations were based on his past performance, and recent past performance as well. I don't think anyone needed to be called out, again, just your attempt at superiority.
  4. Yeah, that commet aged really well... In your effort to look superior to all the posters that didn't like the trade, you have now jinxed the guy. Thanks a lot.
  5. All fully warranted. He was garbage before getting to Milwaukee. I'm glad I was wrong, thrilled actually. Hopefully what we have seen the past couple of games is what we see from here on out. EDIT: I actually didn't even post my thoughts...lol But I was with the majority in thinking it was a pretty uneventful trade.
  6. Who hits more weak flyballs to the outfield than Frelick?
  7. Sure would like to see Ortiz creep up in that lineup, maybe switch him out for Frelick to start...
  8. Anyone have any insight as to why Blake Burke hasn't played since August 17th?
  9. Ummm, pretty sure some of these comments belong in a different thread.
  10. Bradley Blalock allowed two runs with five strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Yankees on Saturday. Blalock was solid against the Yankees on Saturday, holding them to two runs into the sixth inning. He walked two batters in the third inning before Jazz Chisholm brought a run in on a double. Alex Verdugo took Blalock deep for a solo homer in the fourth. He pitched into the sixth, leaving with a runner on and one out at 96 pitches. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 3.06 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and an 11/8 K/BB ratio across 17 2/3 innings into a start against the Rockies in Colorado on Thursday.
  11. Which means we will hang 8 runs on him. That's how baseball works.
  12. THIS-THIS-THIS! Just because someone questions Murphy doesn't make them a Murphy hater. That line of thinking here just has to stop. It's asinine. People come here to complain that people complain about Murphy, or that the board has a lot of complainers.
  13. More DVD Purge, still not through the Bs... Blues Brothers - Classic and a definate keeper. Body of Evidence - Keeping this one, still find it interesting, and lots of naked Madonna...lol Boogie Nights - Thought I would dump this one, but ended up enjoying it enough to keep this time around. The Book Of Eli - Not a happy movie by any means but I always like the post-apocalyptic stuff... Bound - Another one I thought wouldn't make the cut, but decided to keep it.
  14. Dude, it's time to stop now. You're on an island here, don't allow yourself to drown.
  15. Hopefully Devin doesn't hit the IL tomorrow with some kind of injury.
  16. Carpenter is the last Cardinal I want stepping in there...lol
  17. C'mon Devin...Geez. After last night, you just knew this was probably a bad idea.
  18. It's going to be so much fun to watch this guy for the next decade...
  19. God I hate that Happy Thursday commercial. That music and horrible singing, if that is what you call it, is excruciating to sit through 10 times per game. I mean, C'MON!
  20. Well, I'd think if it were that cut and dried, Hudson would shake him off...
  21. It's not too hard to see that in his old age, he has gone off the rails a bit. Not focusing on his political affiliation, it doesn't matter which side he backs, his behavior the past couple of years has been whacko. If he was a republican acting like that, still whacko. The fact that he is a democrat has no bearing on the fact that he is not quite right in the head.
  22. Who is the test audience for Disney movies? Kids, adults, both? If it's primarily kids, I can see how the garbage continues as I don't think they really care about plotlines. If it has funny characters doing funny stuff, I'm sure they are fine with it. The fact that adults keep taking their kids to this stuff, says more about the state of parenting than anything else. Stop throwing your money at stupid movies to entertain your kids. Also, I think Hollywood in general (Not just Disney) has completely run out of ideas, and this is only going to get worse as time goes on. Hence, the amount of remakes, sequels decades after the original, , etc...
  23. DVD purge. Borat - Starts out really really funny, but by mid movie, the humor fades to plain old stupidity. Dumped this one. Born on the 4th of July - Great performance by Tom Cruise, but this movie is a total bummer. I hadn't seen it for so long that it all seemed new to me, but by the time the last 45 minutes started, I was losing interest. A movie about the spoils of war, but falls flat the last 45 minutes or so. Glad I watched it again, but this one is a goner from the collection.
