  1. Paying close to $1500 for new shocks and struts, new brakes on all 4 corners, and a new battery, which I could have just replaced myself, but since I was already in for $1400, I just let them do it. Oh well, the Aura should be good to go for a while anyway...
  2. It never did take much to impress Yost, so this is not that surprising. ---------------------- EDIT by 1992casey… The material above is quoted from Rotoworld. Yuniesky Betancourt competing for 2B job
  3. Monty, your post just bummed me out...
  4. Looking forward to seeing a photo...
  5. Why woud we do statues when there are sausage bobbles to be made?
  6. Hot Dog this year huh? I guess we will be putting together yet another sausage set...
  7. PM sent!
  8. I don't know why we'd want to include Thornburg in trade offers. It won't be long and we are going to need pitching, trading our top pitching prospects isn't the way to build a young and cheap pitching staff.
  9. I can't wait for the last episode. There is no other tv show right now that has me rivited to the television set like this one. (except Survivor, but that is for another thread) At first I was angry that Shane turned into a zombie without being bitten or scratched. I thought they were reaching, just for the effect of Shane being a zombie, but then I remembered what they said about the cops, and it came into view. Hopefully they delve into this a bit more next week, and at least question why it was that Shane was zombiefied so quickly. Will this be a surprise to the group, that you can become a zombie without being attacked by one? Also, my annoyance meter dropped a bit last night for Carl. When he dropped Shane, he became instantly more tolerable, if even for just a moment. I didn't hate Shane, he had merit to a lot of his thoughts, so I wasn't happy to see him go to be honest...
  10. http://www.ebay.com/itm/220970757891?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Is that set really worth that much? I guess, that would make them all worth a little over $20 each, so that makes sense. Obviously a couple of them are harder to find though...
  11. I watched all 3 Matrix movies this past weekend. Strange how when they first came out, I thought they were really great, but now, all these years later, not so much. In fact, the 2nd and 3rd ones I was just looking forward to them being over. Especially the third one, which drug on forever.
  12. That would be great Gorman!
  13. According to the number of replies in this thread, times have really changed musically... There was a time that a new Van Halen disc would have caused a lot more buzz. Especially with David Lee Roth back as frontman. Oh well, I must be getting old.
  14. I would like to meet and try for the full set. I have 10 tickets as well, so I know I'll have some doubles, but doubt I will get the full set with 10 tickets. When the date gets closer, we should start a thread specifically to see who wants to meet, we can set a time and place and see what happens. I actually talked about this when they announced the 5 different bobbles. It's a great idea! As far as how the bobbles are given out: When you walk through the gate, you get your ticket scanned, then as you walk through the turnstyle, there will be workers waiting to hand you your bobble. It is one bobble per ticket, so the only drawback is that you DO have to exit the stadium, and re-enter with your next ticket to get another bobble, etc... The biggest question I have is, are the boxes going to contain a mixture of all 5 bobbles, or are they going to hand out bobbles from boxes that contain the same bobblehead. That will really effect how you'd want to enter the stadium. I think I will give the t-rats front office a call the week before opening day to see how they plan to do it. I'll pass along that information to the board when I get it.
  15. After Dmiles gets his, I'd like to be next in line... I'll need one too! Thanks!
  16. Just got home a little while ago from the t-rats rummage sale/season ticket pick-up extravaganza. I must say, it was very disappointing this year. Tables and tables of clothes, hats, cutsey little stuff, but not a lot of game used items. Prices weren't that great either. I did pick out a bunch of t-shirts for myself, wife and kids after the crowd had thinned. Had I went straight to the clothes, I'm sure I would have found some cool stuff, but that is where the women headed, and getting in the way of women shopping is not wise. (no offnse intended to our women posters) I got there at about 9:15, sale starts at 10:00, but they let us in at 10:10 and it was freezing cold with the wind. Not the best thing to do to your customers if you have the sale advertised as starting at 10:00. The line when I got there was very small. There were probably 10 people in front of me, however, during the next 30-45 minutes, others joined the groups in front of me, basically cutting in line. I think most of them were just waiting out the cold in their cars, then joining in when they wanted. It annoyed the crap out of me, but I didn't say anything since I was alone. Just couldn't see making the evening news over linejumpers. Of course, there were no employees present to make sure this wasn't going on. By 10:00, the line was pretty long, there had to be 200 people or so. They had about 20 or so of the 2007 Brewers SGA mini Vukovich bobbles (priced at $5.71). I looked through about 3/4 of the boxes for the blue versions, but found none. A few Prince Fielder, A. Escobar, and a few other retail versions. No extra t-rats SGA bobbles from previous years. I did notice in the team store they still had a few Dave Bush and Jeff Suppan rehab series bobbles left. Not rummage sale priced though, still at $21.99 each. 2 Taylor Greens left too, and one of the employees said that was it, when they are gone, they are gone. Lorenzo Cain bobbles are gone. The rehab sets were produced in a set of 4 (Cain, Green, Bush and Suppan), 96 made of each. They had the stuff set out down the halls this year, so it was very crowded with people trying to go against the grain of the crowd and your typical rude idiots that have no regard for others. The space they had it set up in just wasn't big enough to handle the crowd. It pretty much sucked. Last year I picked up the majority of the big name guys locker plates/signs, so that is what I started out looking for right off the bat. I found them, but one guy beat me to them and I assume he plucked the Cody Hawn, Austin Ross and Tyler Thornburg before I had the chance to get my hands on them. I was able to get a few of the others I wanted though, including Carlos Gomez. lol They had some game used bats, but unless you go directly to them, the good ones were gone pretty fast. I also missed out on the line-up cards, looked like there were quite a few of those too, but by the time I made my way to them, they were pretty much gone. With the way things were set up, it was easy to get burried in a sea of bodies with no way to move or get to another area. It just wasn't shopper friendly. It wasn't a total loss, but I doubt I will battle the crowds next year. Just wasn't worth the time and freezing for as little as I came home with. I also met Hoops03 from brewerfan.net! It's always fun to put a name with a face. We happened to be standing in line next to each other in the checkout line. Did anyone else go?
  17. That Axford in the gold jersey is freaking AWESOME! Is it damaged or is that just the photo?
  18. great insight madgrad!
  19. yes, they were both there, and I took CC instead. They were both gone when it swung back to me again. Looking back, I should have taken Greinke instead of CC, and possibly Yo too.
  20. Konerko in the 10th round of a 14 team league??? He went in the 5th round. I went with Cabrera in the 1st Sabathia in the 2nd Teixeira in the 3rd Strasburg in the 4th Axford in the 5th Rivera in the 6th Heavy on the closers, yes... I hate getting caught with no good closers, that is a lot of points to leave out there by waiting until the later rounds and picking up scraps. I have won a ton of leagues in my day, and every team that has won had great closers. Very under-rated imo. Of course, it depends on your scoring system.
  21. Good question, I have wondered the same exact thing. I have the bubbles version, but not the plain one. Got the bubbles version on ebay for less than $10 shipped! Haven't really looked for the plain version, so I have no idea if one is more valuable than the other.
  22. It is a crying shame that we won't be getting a Braun MVP bobblehead this year...
  23. I though this week's show was great! Didn't see the ending coming at all.
  24. The problem is, we have to trust that Roenicke will make the right decisions. I have zero faith in him to make the right line-up decisions. The crap he pulled throughout the season last year sickened me.
  25. Do you guys think that Rickie will have the speed he once had due to his ankle injury? I am skeptical myself, especially early on. Yes, he may be our best option, I'm just disappointed we can't use him in more of a power/rbi position.
