  1. The Brewers are still likely to get this done, but my biggest disappointment from last night was the fact that Pratts historical moment was taken away from him. That would have been remembered forever in Brewerdom and in baseball history, and now its just a neat footnote

  4. Cubs are 20-0 in their 2 winning streaks, but 9-21 the rest of the season. if they go 13-7 in those 20 games, they are 22-28 right now.

  6. Query is really the only option for today and the extreme short term for backup catcher. He's the only one on the 40 man, and I can't think Ramon Rodriguez would deserve a 40 man spot . So, it's either very short term, or he's a place holder until they can add a more experienced catcher to the 40 man.
  7. could just be a bereavement or paternity leave situation
  8. The Brewers DS games will be on TBS , so either Brian Anderson or Alex Faust will do play by play. TBS for the NLCS , which is Brian Anderson. And the world series would be Fox and Joe Davis. Joe Buck no longer does baseball.
  9. It's likely just the need to have a backup catcher to Jansen, cause I'm sure Contreras will not be behind the plate much if any time the rest of the regular season
  10. If a poster puts his post in blue on this site, it means he is joking or being sarcastic.

  12. He was actually just reporting Fangraphs projections for the Brewers of 81 wins. Fangraphs seems to never predict very many 90 plus win teams. Brian Kenny is actually very pro Brewers
  13. Ehh, that's a bummer, I always look forward to seeing actual official stats from our newest draft class each year.
  14. I notice that the Arizona Complex season will run from May to July this year, which means that those drafted this year will not play there. So, where will, especially the high school and JC players play after being drafted. I could see college players go to Carolina for the last 2 months , but the young ones won't. Any insight as to the plan?
  15. I guarantee they won't sign both Chapman and Hoskins too, but the Chourio deal has zero to do with it
  16. And your scenario can still happen, and still have Chourio locked up for likely up till 10 years. Why do we think that this signing means 80 million dollars is out the door this year.
  17. Are you under the impression that Chourio signing means we can't sign anybody else. yes we could sign Hoskins for 3/36 and Chapman for 4/60 maybe , so a total oft 27 million a year and 96 total. Chourio will likely only make 2 million or so in 2024.
  18. My hunch is he's talking about Matt Chapman, but still a very flawed way to analyze this signing

  20. For me, im just tired of winning a game or two and being this close to putting any doubt out the window of making the playoffs, and then, lose two in a row to the cubs, and then lose the last two games now. I would love to just have a cruise to the finish line, and not have to wonder if a bad stretch is right around the corner.
  21. It's somewhat reassuring that he was lobbying to stay in there. Most pitchers know when they are truly hurt
  22. Honestly, the biggest reason people immediately took issue was the referral to him as a trashcan. If you had said, "man I don't know about going with perdomo here", nobody would have thought twice. I've always disliked hyperbole. I think it is the most horrifice thing that has ever plagued mankind, or will ever plague mankind
  23. The loss was the result of 9 innings of stuff, not in any way related to the decision to pitch a quality pitcher in Perdome
  24. There is literally nothing you could say that would convince me that was a bad irresponsible decision at all
