  1. You're treading on dangerous grounds. I partnered up on jobs with a certain guy for years and we started playing this very game. It was all in good fun... until he dropped the nuke. I had this thing stuck in my head for nearly ten years. It is indeed that bad. I've infected many others as well. I'm actually having to fight it off as I type this. It doesn't latch on real easily, you'll have to sing it a few times, maybe even whistle it; but once it grabs hold, it really grabs hold. Click at your own risk...
  2. My audio subscription is part of Charter's Sports View Plus package. It consists of Gameday Audio, NHL Premium, Nascar Track Pass, Fox Sports, ESPN 3, and associated programming on the TV. To access Gameday Audio, I go to charter.net (their home page) scroll down to Sports View Plus, then click in the MLB icon. That takes me to the regular Gameday log-in screen except it's within a Charter page (if that makes sense). Then to log in, I use my email address and its password. I didn't get any separate MLB password. I did create an MLB.com account and attempted to log in with that username and password just as above, but no dice.
  3. It's become clear to me that ponying up the extra 15 bucks is my best move... although I hate it with every fiber of my being.
  4. My log-in on a computer is my Charter log-in. At Bat Lite is having none of that. I tried going through the web browser, but it says "this application does not support Android devices with Flash Player" or "this application is not supported by Android devices with Flash Player" or something along those lines. If this becomes a deal where a phone call is involved there will be consequences and repercussions.
  5. Thanks, I'll try that.
  6. I already pay to listen to the games. What I want to know is how to do it on my phone, if it's possible.
  7. I fear that JohnBriggs12 may be right. Today was the first time that I actually thought about it. I mean the first time that I actually thought "Boy oh boy, are they missing Prince."
  8. I normally don't question managerial decisions too much, but I'm puzzled about RR's use of Peralta today in a much more stressful situation than what he would have faced yesterday.
  9. I've gone all high tech and stuff. I have a Samsung Stratosphere 4G-LTE with Verizon as my carrier. It has been immensely helpful with our small business stuff but I'd like to start making use of some of the other features that come with all this new technology. I have, and will have, many questions that I'm hoping some of you will be able to help me with. There are 2 that come to mind right off. 1) Charter Cable is my TV/Internet/home phone service provider and I have their "Sports View Plus" package which allows me to listen to Game Day Audio for free on my laptop. I can listen to Game Day Audio on the laptop, but can I also do it on my phone and if so, does anyone know how I'd go about it? Do I need to find an app for it or something? 2) This one is downright embarrassing. I'll use the "text the booth" feature on the Brewers telecasts as an example. They say "text 234234, keyword Brewers, to send us your questions". Okay, fine, but where do I put said keyword? Is it the first word inside the body of the text message, or do I perhaps start the body of the text with "keyword brewers", or maybe "keyword=brewers", or do I send the text to "234234brewers" to begin with, or what? Thanks in advance for your help. The second one really makes me feel like an idiot.
  10. Get a dog. Even a tiny little yapper. Burglars all say that noise is their biggest concern and a barking dog, even a little yapper, will make them turn-tale (pun intended) and bail much faster than any alarm system will.
  11. Invader, all of that has been looked into. When I said there is NO recourse, I was being perfectly literal. There is NO recourse. I was slightly mistaken about one thing though. She doesn't have 14 years in; she has just under 17 years in.
  12. Thursday, my wife was forced to work 12 hours, from 7 am to 7 pm. Then she was forced to go in at 3am Friday morning and work until 3 in the afternoon. Yes, that's work 12, off for 8, work 12 more... in a highly dangerous job, with NO overtime pay. She had (and has) NO recourse. Do it or get fired, after 14 years of exemplary service. This bugs me greatly.
  13. I remember when Yo first came up, some people were saying "Wait til you see this Parra kid, his stuff is even better."
  14. I've always thought that Estrada was a more effective starter than Narveson. Can anyone compare Estrada as a starter to Narveson by the numbers? I took a peek at baseball reference but it made my eyes glaze over and my head started to hurt.
  15. In, with asterisk and lengthy description of all events. I say that only because I believe he was truly innocent. Conversely, I think Rose should never get in. I hate having to say that, as I was a huge fan of "Charlie Hustle" but he was definitely guilty.
  16. I picture Doug Melvin saying "Hairston" much like Jerry Seinfeld would say "Newman".
  17. Gomez is playing like a stud, a guy that I, and probably I alone in Southeast Wisconsin and still holding out hope for, You're not alone. I want very much for Gomez to succeed and I too am holding out hope.
  18. Since when has that stopped anybody from writing for SI? I'm smart enough to know I'm an idiot.
  19. Anyone on this board could have written an equally astute analysis off the top of his/her head. Not me; I'm an idiot.
  20. Does anyone happen to know who caught that game?
  21. I think we get caught up a bit too much in trying to fit partiular offensive skill sets into defensive positions. Amen. But lets put Rickie's production in RF and Aoki's at 2nd base. Let's not give some people any ideas, lest the clamoring begin.
  22. I just don't get the Wolf hatred/dislike (as far as performance goes). He's pitched very well for the team at what has turned out to be very reasonable dollars relatively speaking. I think he's maybe a little full of himself and is the root cause of the situation with Lucroy, but performance-wise I'm perfectly happy. Looking back, I'd make that deal 10 times out of 10.
  23. Quiet, you! Clearly this is just like the real world where you sit babbling in the corner while nobody pays attention.
  24. They talked about it on tv the other day. It's softer. A hard chopper into the ground should no longer bounce through. They might have said other stuff. If so, I forgot.
