  1. Why's it gotta be about race? This is just another case of "the man tryin' ta keep a crustacean down."
  2. Macha's lineup decisions have left me scratching my head as much as, if not more so, than Yost's pitching decisions. I wouldn't be at all upset if her were let go. I truely believe him to be a detriment to this very young tream of emerging talent.
  3. I'm glad to see that others find Belliard annoying. I've always thought it was just more of my crazy old man-ness. That play was great, no doubt. If my memory is correct (and odds are, it probably isn't), Belliard blew a lot of routine plays by trying to turn them into highlight-reel plays. Is that correct, or is my memory influenced by me being annoyed by him in general?
  4. Waiting that extra year for free agency might also be very profitable for JJ. It could turn out to be a GREAT thing for him, money-wise. I'm not saying that it will, but it definitely could. Has anyone else thought of that?
  5. Exactly. The only way this could be construed as a "screw job" would be if Hardy were playing well and was sent down ONLY to mess with his service time, which obviously isn't the case here.
  6. Any automotive paint supplier can hook you up. I like Monark in Burlington very much.
  7. You'll need to hire me as a consultant/adviser. I'm extremely well versed in self-destructive activities.
  8. Kingpin (Spiderman comics) Clubber Lang (I named my dog after him) Godzilla! Sideshow Bob Stewie

  10. I saw it, and the thought of him bashing Selig never entered my mind. I took it as more of a comment on how baseball began to change as a whole during that time period, and that the Brewers were unfortunately (and unavoidably) on the bad end of those changes. Of course, that could have just been my perspective.
  11. I found my way here from the Brewers.com board. What a zoo that was. At first I was quite intimidated, and am still amazed at how hardcore and knowledgable many of the posters here are. I mostly just stay quiet and try to keep up.
  12. I still dream daily of Prince adopting the full Mr. T mohawk, facial hair, and bling. "Pity the fool that tries to block the plate on Mr. P!"
  13. Perhaps TLR came out in defense of Duncan in hopes of upping, or at least solidifying, Duncan's trade value?
  14. "How much do you love your pet?" I bought him a convertible. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/DanAuctions4u/posting/dogpark025.jpg
  15. For 500 grand, I'll fight him. How long's it gonna take him to knock me out?
  16. The only thing in Haudricort's rant I can disagree with is the part about Earl Weaver. Earl would not have been "suspended for years at a time." He would have been imprisoned for years at a time after killing at least one umpire, possibly several.
  17. I went to the doc yesterday, and weighed in at 299. Believe it or not, that's a good thing. 2 years ago, I was hovering around 500, and haven't been below 300 for a looooong time.
  18. Other posters. It looked to me like the original poster was kinda jumped on. Of course, it could just be me.
  19. I got about halfway through this thread and gave up. Many of the replies, and the underlying attitudes, surprised and slightly saddened me. I seem to see more of that type of behavior creeping in lately. Perhaps I'm just old and crazy, but I for one really don't care for it. And mods, if this is out of line, please feel free to remove it.
  20. Is there a rule against freezing them, and did your team also get to hit the frozen balls? I have no real reason to ask, just curious. I'd probably protest the game, or at least make it known to the league officials, with an aside about the ump. Don't stoop to their level.
  21. Motorcycling mainly. The wife and I are fortunate enough to spend a lot of time out on the road. I like wrenching on 'em as much as I like riding 'em. I also like to feed the birds, and play with our 3 dogs (all rescues). Being "Grampa" is extremely cool as well.
  22. I think my favorite part was when Prince was celebrating with the kids. He was giggling like a kid. Just a guy having fun, and proud to have done well in front of his sons.
  23. And here's a pic from the Craigslist listing... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/DanAuctions4u/kawai700ltd.jpg
  24. I don't know whether or not anyone's really interested, but Ando Calrissian (Mike) is a proud new member of the motorcycling community. We met up today in Madison to look at a 1985 Kawasaki ZN700 LTD, that was exceptionally clean and had only 15,000 original miles on it. This little bike is completely unmolested, right down to still having the stock exhaust on it. Previous owner had added a passenger backrest, and highway pegs for the rider, both of which are nice additions. Everything on the bike works, and works as it should. It should provide Mike with very, very many miles n' smiles. Congratulations, Mike!
