  1. I understand that Lincecum made it known he wanted more, but would he have gotten more? Seems like the Giants could've saved a little by going the QO route. But again, it's not my money so they can offer whatever they want.
  2. Why wouldn't the Giants have waited to offer a QO. Sure, Lincecum could have tested FA but who was going to pay him above QO rates or be willing to give up a draft pick to sign him? I bet the Giants could've signed him for less $/year going the QO route.
  3. Now the wait until Spring Training [with a little hot stove action in between] http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/waiting.gif
  4. The lack of Yuni on this list at all positions of the infield makes it invalid
  5. But he was compared to Suppan when he was drafted, thus any praise is instantly invalid.

  7. Jake Westbrook here we come!

  9. That's odd. Definitely not mind-blowing stuff, but its pretty neat to check out when you get a chance.
  10. MLB Past and Future Payroll Interactive Graph Site: http://mrphilroth.com/mlbpayrolls/ Prepare to lose about an hour or two.

  12. Side note: good for Khris Davis, hope to see more of him.
  13. Too bad we couldn't have spaced out some of the runs from the past two days.
  14. I mean, Zimmermann is a righty so that's probably why Krush isn't in there tonight. I agree with the consensus that it's better to test out some of the younger guys more often, but I think it's pretty obvious why Davis is out tonight.
  15. So the trade deadline has come and gone and it looks like the Brewers didn't make any deals. I certainly understand that deals can still be done through August, but it's kind of disappointing Melvin couldn't find anyone to take our relievers.
  16. I don't think we need to go out and trade him right away. Previous to this I would say he was an untouchable as Jeter is in NY. Now, a few years down the line I wouldn't be as upset if he were dealt.
  17. I kind of feel this way too. Prior to all this, I was excited to have the first Brewer who I could realistically see play his entire career in Milwaukee. While I still think having him on the team is far more preferable than not, it certainly moves him into the tradeable for the right price category versus the untouchable category I had in him before.
  18. I can at least find humor in the reports where they say his suspension is for "the rest of the year and the playoffs." So you're saying there's a chance!
  19. Welp Braun was going to be the first Brewer since Molitor to make it to the HOF. Sad to see the biggest star we've had go down like this. Glad its happening this year as its a bust year already. Don't know how I'll feel about Braun going forward...
  20. Go Brewers? Man these in game threads get more and more depressing.
  21. I can't believe they actually did something completely right!
  22. LRMAM to the Kings for two 2nd round picks:
  23. I know it's been said before but Logan really has the best walk-up music in MLB.
