  1. Ok...but here's the issue, how many people have cracked screens on phones they're still using until they can afford to replace it? How often do phones go dead, people lose them...etc, etc... I'm constantly having problems with my phones. Do you really think more people lose their phones then would lose paper tickets? If, by some chance, you lose your phone or it doesn't work you can just login to your account on your friend's/spouse's phone. Someone in your group is bound to have a working phone. Most new cars nowadays have a USB plug built in so it's easy to keep your phone charged right up until you get to the stadium.
  2. You greatly overestimate the amount of people that are going to need to use this. What adult doesn't have a credit or debit card in 2021? I'm guessing the amount of people who need to get a prepaid card per game you can count on one hand. Due to the fact all tickets are being sold in pods there's not a single person going to a game by themselves. There's no reason a passenger can't get the parking pass ready while in line.
  3. My first Bucks game was this one. I was 7 years old and don't remember anything other than getting Larry Bird's autograph in the lobby of the Hyatt after the game.
  4. Anyone remember the '80s game show Win, Lose or Draw? Apparently they did market specific episodes, and the Milwaukee one made its way to YouTube. It features Milwaukee radio and TV personalities along with Bob Lanier playing the game with Wisconsin specific clues. What an odd piece of history.
  5. It's a Week 17 thing and that's been in place for quite a few years.
  6. First Round schedule is out: Saturday, January 9th Colts @ Bills - 1:05pm ET - CBS Rams @ Seahawks - 4:40pm ET - Fox Buccaneers @ Washington/Giants - 8:15pm ET - NBC Sunday, January 10th Ravens @ Titans - 1:05pm ET - ESPN/ABC Bears @ Saints - 4:40pm ET - CBS/Nickelodeon/Amazon Prime Browns @ Steelers - 8:15pm ET - NBC/Telemundo/Peacock
  7. With the Seahawks and Cardinals both losing right now, there's a possibility this game turns out to be meaningless.
  8. It's a bit odd to me that Pittsburgh is doing this as they are still in the running for the #2 seed. Not as important as in previous years, but the 2 seed is guaranteed HFA for the first 2 rounds. I would think they'll be kicking themselves if Buffalo loses to Miami tomorrow, and they definitely could. I guess HFA isn't really as important as in most years must be their mindset. But they also haven't been playing very good football lately and you'd think they'd want to get back into a rhythm. They also never had a real bye week due to other team's COVID issues. Maybe they just want to give their starters an actual rest before the playoffs.
  9. Wow, if that's the case ... yuck! I was hoping that next week's game wouldn't matter a whole heck of a lot, but it appears that it's going to have to be all hands on deck. Unfortunately it appears that all the NFC games that matter in the playoffs standings are being played in the 3:25 window, so the Packers won't know what they need to do beforehand. They purposely schedule all the games that depend on each other at the same time so one team doesn't get an advantage of sitting players based on the result of an earlier game.
  10. Not really. The Saints and Seahawks both winning could drop us all the way to #3. We should absolutely assume we need to beat the Bears next week. The Saints cannot finish ahead of the Packers. If they win and the Packers lose next weekend, the Packers hold the tiebreaker based in them beating the Saints back in September. The lowest the Packers can finish is #2. Nope, if it's a three-way tie head-to-head doesn't factor in, Saints would be the #1 seed, Seahawks #2 and Packers #3 in that scenario.
  11. Likely is the keyword that probably prevents it from being chosen. They generally only like to pick a game for Week 17 SNF when a playoff spot will definitely be on the line. If they pick Packers/Bears and the Cardinals lose the Bears clinch before the game starts and the game doesn't mean much. I'm guessing the SNF game will be Washington/Eagles. If Washington wins, they're in, if not, whoever wins between Cowboys and the Giants are in, no way for that to be spoiled before kick off.
  12. YouTube TV is a much better product than cable or satellite, I'm not dropping it.
  13. NY Times reporting that Cleveland will be dropping the Indians name: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/13/sports/baseball/cleveland-indians-baseball-name-change.html I really hope they go with Spiders, it would be a cool mascot and great nod to Cleveland baseball history.
  14. Sinclair is partnering with Bally's to rebrand the RSNs from Fox to Bally's. They're planning on integrating sports betting into the programming and selling them as their own standalone app. If that happens, I'm guessing that's either the end of the RSNs on the other streaming platforms or they're offered as a paid sports tier add-on.
  15. Double check that the sale is for the platform and store you're trying to get it for. They throw different sales for different platforms, but they're all pretty common.
  16. It's not a virtual escape room, but the Jackbox Party Packs are something fun you can do over Zoom. If you own the game you can stream it over Zoom and everyone else can join in and play using their cellphones through a web browser, no app needed. There are seven packs, each with five games on them, all multi-player party games, some trivia, some drawing, some bluffing, some where you just try to be funny.
  17. The funny thing is that trade might partly be the Brewers fault. Pirates were 43-49 before the Brewers went to Pittsburgh and got swept in a five-game prior to the All-Star break. The Pirates then won their first five games after the All-Star break as part of an 11 game winning streak and were suddenly back in the playoff race. A week later they made that trade.
  18. Interesting that all four division series are intra division. TB/NY, OAK/HOU, ATL/MIA, LA/SD
  19. Yup, and hope the Brewers can score a run or two in the 8th or 9th so you can save both Williams and Hader for tomorrow.
  20. Vogelbach shirseys are going to be best sellers next season.
  21. Man, Nottingham has come up huge with Pina's injury. Maybe that Khris Davis trade will turn out ok afterall.
