  1. And after I say that, Braun puts together a nice AB, although ball 4 was close. 52 pitches already for Volquez
  2. I hope its just opening day anxiousness, but Braun has chased some bad pitches already today
  3. Rick just keep on swingin it! Who needs a sac bunt? We got nothin but XBH in our aresenal
  4. He said he wanted to come into camp in the best shape of his life so he ran a lot in the offseason and lost about 12 pounds
  5. A little late to the IGT party here but...WOW, what a start!!! How slow did Kotsay look on that ball Stubbs hit? Hurry back Corey (and don't be affraid to put Nyjer out there Ron)! This is gonna be a great year!
  6. Cutting out of work at 1, and then Brewers, beers and seeds. What more could you need? Cannot wait!
  7. One minor quibble- wasn't it before ST started? http://www.jsonline.mobi/...mart&c=y Not that things went smoothly in spring training. Forgetting that the Brewers are paying him $13.5 million a year to play baseball, Greinke cracked a rib playing pickup basketball after camp started and will open the season on the disabled list.
  8. Considering he was playing pick up basketball after ST had started, I think its relevant. Melvin said himself that had the injury been more serious there probably would've been some consequences. I digress. I agree - just want him healthy and helping us win
  9. Maybe not as far as wins and losses, but it is when you consider he is set to make approx $2 million during that time
  10. I can't say that I know Trenni, but I have met her twice and although the conversations were brief, she seemed far from full of herself. In fact, she seemed very nice and sincere. I think people on TV and radio have to act self confident. Maybe you are taking that as arrogance? And agreed on Drew Olson, JB12. The guy is a total hack
  11. That's amazing - I was just going to post yesterday asking if anyone knew what Trenni was up to these days. Good for her!
  12. Here is the lineup for the game against the Padres (and for opening day except Yo replaces Wolf): 2B Rickie Weeks CF Carlos Gomez LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Casey McGehee RF Mark Kotsay SS Yuniesky Betancourt C Wil Nieves LHP Randy Wolf
  13. Boggs cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Nashville http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/
  14. Definitely. I was referring to the rain. I've seen several early forecasts that show much of the state under some precip for early next week. I've been to every home opener since MP opened, and from what I remember (it is the home opener we are talking about here), we have been very lucky as far as rain goes (knocking in wood). Last year was just ridiculous.
  15. Not a great early forecast for the home opener, obsessed. Please keep us posted with your thoughts on that day's weather
  16. That's exactly what I thought when I saw 6 for speed, and I knew the scale only went to 8. There are MAYBE 3 or 4 players currently in MLB faster than Gomez so I have absolutely no idea how he only gets "above average" for speed.
  17. Nice OF depth/speed on the bench. Gomez should and will start I think. Nyjer will be the first guy behind Prince should the big guy lose that temper of his.
  18. If you look at the odds, Vegas seems to strongly disagree with these unnamed prophets, er I mean scouts. I'll put my stock in Vegas
  19. Wow, we need real baseball ASAP! 7 pages on Chris Dickerson for Sergio Mitre!
  20. I know we all get nervous about Gomez swinging for the fences after a HR, but his slam today was to dead central on what sounded like a pitch he would usually try to pull. I think that's a good sign
  21. I'm listening via at bat on my Droid and the audio has been spotty at best
