  1. Exactly. Over the last three seasons in 432 plate appearances Pina has put up a combined 2.7 bWAR/3.2 fWAR. The only reason he might be remotely affordable is because he hasn't been durable.
  2. Change the time that kids have to be in school.
  3. Agreed. They outgained the Chiefs 301 yards to 237 and Love had more passing yards than Mahomes, 179 to 160. Average starting field position was GB 24, GB 25 (should have had FG), Chiefs 37 (blocked FG), then GB 2, GB 22, (end of half kickoff I'm not counting), GB 12, GB 15, GB 8, and GB 47 (TD). Hard to generate a lot of points when you start inside your 25 yard line on all but two possessions.
  4. I guess Mahommes ain't it either. Love outplayed him. See, I can make terrible assumptions as well! And if you judge Rodgers based on the Saints game this year, he ain't it either. Hell, Love outplayed Rodgers that game...
  5. They had seven picks in the first four rounds that year. They've released three, one was traded to swap 4th and 6th round picks, one was a healthy scratch this past week. Mayock needs to realize this is the NFL and not the internet where you get credit for hitting on reaches but nobody remembers your misses. Well, no matter what happens from here on out, the Packers will never have the worst 2020 draft...
  6. One thing to consider is screen size. I've had 14" laptops for work for years and I can't stand a screen that small. I connect my work laptop to a separate 22" monitor. When I bought a fairly basic laptop 6 months ago or so I made sure to buy a 15.6" screen. Take that into account if you're considering a tablet or Chromebook. FWIW, I bought a Lenovo PC w/8GB ram and Intel Core i5 10th gen processor on eBay for ~$500 and have been very happy with the performance.
  7. Two things - 1) the Badgers rarely disclose injuries beyond the two-deep unless it's a guy who is definitely out for the game or out for the season and he suffered a minor meniscus tear in the spring so he may not have been healthy, and B) Schipper is a deemed a better pass blocker and thus why Schipper has mostly been in on 3rd down.
  8. How does he know that he's allergic to something that he's never had? Did he participate in some mRNA vaccine clinical?
  9. Leonard Little's incident was 23 years ago, Stallworth's 12. Things have changed since then, certainly since Little's. The NFL is much more sensitive to criticism and protests over player conduct now, especially when it involves women. Female fans have been their source of fanbase growth over the last decade+. Stallworth's victim was a 59-year-old male, Ruggs' a 23 year old female. I'd be more inclined to bet that his career is done, especially since Nevada does not allow probation for a DUI involving a fatality and since 2013 the NFLPA has offered free rides from rideshare companies for players to avoid DUIs.
  10. If Pina leaves, they need a backup catcher. Doubtful that Feliciano is ready, and he should probably be in AAA to get more experience, so one of Pina or Maile will need to be brought back.
  11. Nebraska lost their 6th game of the year today and with their remaining games being against Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Iowa are pretty much guaranteed to have their 5th consecutive losing season and 6th losing season in their last seven. They haven't won 10 games in a season since 2012. Have to think that this is the end for Scott Frost, and the only question is if he will make it to the end of the season. If they get blown out by Ohio State next week he might not make it to the Wisconsin game.
  12. Kaden Johnson in the game at OLB. I think that's his first appearance of the season.
  13. Badgers are done scoring for the day so they're going to have to hold on to this. Seriously, dude, you are beyond tiresome. Give it a rest.
  14. Badgers are done scoring for the day so they're going to have to hold on to this. If you are wrong, do you promise not to post in a Badgers thread again?
  15. The Badgers have had some good DLs in the past, and the 2004 DL might have been the best, but this might be the best 2-deep DL they have ever had.
  16. No... not really the run/pass mix is absolutely unexpected. if you can say you for sure expected an almost 50/50 mix of run to pass I'd say "lol no" Purdue's weakness is rush D, Iowa's weakness is pass D. I'm not surprised.
  17. To be fair, earlier in the game Jones ran through 240lb Isaiah Simmons, who hit him at the 2 yard line, for a TD.
  18. If the Badgers can pull this off at home, the Big Ten West is there for the taking.
  19. Because they're still winning.
  20. Billy Turner has quietly had a really good year
  21. It's really hard for 300lb OL to be nimble enough to block LBs and DBs in space. Jones has not done a good job of setting up his blockers and using his blockers to screen the defenders.
  22. You'd think that the first think they'd tell you as a kick returner is, when in doubt, put the ball in the hands of our hall of fame QB.
  23. Plenty of employers ghosting on applications and interviews. A couple of weeks ago I got an email rejection about a position I applied for last year. Sometimes, though, if you're in the second cut they hold you until someone is on board in case the person they want doesn't accept the offer. I know that hiring managers are busy and they try to screen for no more than the top 3, maybe 4, applicants. If you're #4 or #5, they might wait a while before informing you. Case studies are pretty much standard in my occupation at my level. They want to see how you think, how you solve problems, can you work with ambiguity and data. Most of the time when I've left a company it's because of the leadership and how I am treated than what I am doing (that, and them eliminating my position if not my entire department).
  24. JJ Watt officially out tomorrow. Game just got more winnable.
