Couldn't have asked for a better start from Houser tonight. PH for him and then turn it over to the bullpen. -
To whom? I see at least 3 more loses for the Badgers: Notre Dame, Northwestern and Iowa. They could even lose a fourth against Purdue. I am just hoping they lose 4 games and Chryst finally gets fired. Northwestern? The team that got boatraced at home against Michigan State two nights ago? The team that gave up 326 yards rushing to Michigan State and over 500 total yards? To Michigan State, who hasn't had a winning conference record since 2018 and hasn't won 10 games since 2017? Iowa lost their two starting DTs to the NFL plus their best DE, and Notre Dame's starting QB transferred because he was going to be 2nd string at UW. Let's at least be a little rational here. Penn State has a great defense.

Excluding sacks, UW rushed for over 200 yards. I wouldn't say they got "whipped", but they really struggled against their 7-techniques in pass pro. Should have had a TE chipping them.

Both tackles whiffed majorly on their blocks with only three rushing... That's not on the coaches.

Klatt made a good point about the play design. if the RB goes out on a route then Ferguson is wide open. If he doesn't stay in and block, does Mertz even have time to throw?

Two fumbled handoffs inside the 5 yard line. Should have 14 more points.

And as long as they don't fumble the handoff, it almost always works.

Yeah, should be like the NBA - Targeting 1 is incidental, 5 or 10 yard penalty, no ejection. Targeting 2 is flagrant, 15-yards, ejection.

I don't think I know if the WRs are garbage. The play calling doing them zero favors. The pass blocking hasn't been real good either. On that note, they need the TEs to chip the 7-technique DEs on 3rd and long.

Penn State had 2 yards net rushing in the first half.

The coaches didn't false start on the 1 yard line, fumble inside the 10, or block poorly on a FG attempt.

Let's not underestimate that Penn State is ranked #19 and it's not because of their offense.

Surprised only one jet sweep so far. I thought with Guerendo healthy he would be like Gordon was running the sweep out of the slot.

Mertz was focusing on a receiver and missed open guys on those two passes. Davis was open on 2nd down, Ferguson was open over the middle on 3rd down.
