  1. weeks wants to make sure we have no shot at 10. it's not like he contributed to ANY of the wins during the streak. send his ass down to aaa.
  2. the brunette FSG is gorgeous. so she's fine by me. sophia seems like a nice girl but her job is completely pointless. does anyone really care what some random idiot thinks was the biggest reason for the success of the bottom of the order has been?
  3. anyone catch hoffman after weeks dropped the popup: "ouch" he's not long for this league if he's truly regressed to avg to below avg hitter. his d has just been off the charts bad. reminds me of jeff kent late in his career.
  4. His first two ab's were his best in a long time. But he really regressed as the night went on. He's missing so many hanging breaking pitches that a major league player should just never miss. And I really think it has a lot to due with a balance issue. He almost takes a headfirst digger on pitches on the outer half. So when a pitch is actually middle in he's flailing and just fouls it away. They need to sit him for a couple games against unfavorable matchups and work on a mechanical adjustment. That being said, I'd be shocked if he isn't back in there tonight batting 5th. He's had some success against Volquez in the past, they have the scheduled day off, and the guy has always had the longest leash of any brewer. Every manager we've had has loved the guy.
  5. It was a 2-2 count so now you just sound silly. I'm not watching with DVR, so I can't rewind, but it was 0-2, right? correct
  6. i know that was a bad take, but gomez eye the last two nights has been joey votto like. looks like a completely different player up there.
  7. He's like 6 for his last 70. We could put one of our middle relievers in a 2b and I'd have just as much as confidence. Seriously, why not Gonz at 3rd, Yuni at 2nd, and Lalli at 1b. Worst case is you get the same production you've been getting all season, and maybe in the meantime, you clear his head and maybe get him going.
  8. Gameday had it in the zone Saw this on Twitter: https://twitter.com/BrewCrewLive/status/326914086854082560/photo/1 I don't know what's the bigger problem there....the terrible called strike 3, or not hitting the 2-1 fastball into the seats.
  9. Gonzalez hasn't had one? I thought BA said Weeks was the only guy that's played every day so far.
  10. Oh my. He's now approaching his second 0-20 streak of the season. How many middle in fastballs does he have to miss before he gets a day off. Any other guy on the team would have already been given one.
  11. Hopefully Gennett will turn into a nice everyday 2b, but just from looking at his stats, I'd say 2015 is the earliest he should be up.
  12. I agree with the posts above. I can live with 200 k's a year if a guy is hitting for power and getting on base. Weeks is doing neither. He's 6 for his last 60 and I know for sure 2 of the hits were bloop doubles. He had that one hard out late in the game vs SF last week but that's it for tough luck. So basically in 2 weeks of play the guy has hit the ball hard 5 times and struck out or popped out the other half. How is that even possible? Has it been a small sample? Of course. No one's arguing he's gonna hit this way the whole year so can it. But we've now got over 800 plate appearances (aka the last 20% of his career) where he's been a low 700 ops hitter and a very, very, very poor defender. I'd be shocked if the FO isn't at least starting to kick around other options in case this carries over into the summer.
  13. Kintzler is a beast. Hope he can finally stay healthy. Weeks seems to have the same amount of range as prime Jeff Kent at this point. Guy is like a statue out there.
  14. $60 last year. I gave you odds after you called me out on using hyperbole. Segura is a much better hitter than Weeks at this point, so I will gladly bet you on the above though. How about $50, even up, whoever has a higher OPS by the end of the year. 350 AB min. I have Segura, you have Weeks.
  15. That is all you really need to say about Weeks. He did the same thing for 3 months last year before turning it around so it's not exactly the same as the "slump" Braun went thru a week ago where you could just point to a small sample. And honestly, RW looks even worse now than at any point last year. How many balls has he hit hard in the past two weeks? 2 or 3? A lot of pitchers could have given us better at bats lately. I'm fine with keeping him in the starting lineup given the alternatives, but there's no way in hell he should be batting anywhere but the bottom of the order right now. If he starts to have better at bats and starts to actually hit the ball hard and lay off junk sliders, then move him up.
  16. I'm still trying to comprehend what the heck I just saw that inning. Weeks is beyond useless. Seriously just the definition of suck. Either swinging thru or watching fastballs right down the middle, check swinging on anything low and away, and then whatever that last swing was. There's no way in hell he would of got the bunt down there, so I'm not mad at Roenicke for not calling it.. The best you could of hoped for was him taking one off his huge ass or lucking into a walk.
  17. He's right about one thing. A scholar he is not. I have never had a clue about what he's trying to convey in interviews. Like I understand the words he's saying, but they don't make any sense in the context he's using them in. Period.
  18. It's nice to see we're capable of having a winning streak while getting Ben Sheets like hitting production out of the cleanup spot. If Weeks has another stinker today, I'd have to guess we'll see someone else in that spot tomorrow.
  19. He got really unlucky early in the season too. Could easily be batting .400. It looks possible he could become a .320/.450 guy. CLUTCH YUNI. And Yo with a bomb!
