  1. I think Hyundai and Kia are both putting out better vehicles than Toyota and Honda, fwiw. Can't beat their factory warranties either 5y/60k b2b and 10y/100k drivetrain. I don't think you'll find a better deal on a Rav4 than the one that was at Lancaster. That was a steal.
  2. rluz, you are just asking for an 0-30 streak or one of Weeks' wrist sheaths to pop with that comment. Believe me, I've been rooting for you the whole time because a) I want a rebuild/tear down after the year, and Weeks wasn't gonna go anywhere playing like crap. b) he was never dogging it and probably works as hard as anyone in the league. That said, between Hart and Weeks we have to have the most streaky two players in mlb. I think I have proclaimed Weeks' career over about 3 different seasons now lol.
  3. NMF, Deal 1 is an absolute no-brainer. Very similar sized dealerships, so I'm really surprised in the price difference. Both are bringing right around $15.5k at the auctions (plus about a $400 auction fee), so the thing is basically just marked up 1800 bucks above wholesale. In this market, that's a deal. I wouldn't worry about the lack of service records. I think Toyota's have a 5yr/60k powertrain warranty on them, and those service records a lot of time will only show up if you bring the car to certain service shops. With the additional options, I'd say there's maybe a couple hundred dollar difference. And that's even iffy considering black>bronze/gray. ETA: Carfaxes in general, are junk. Completely unreliable for anything other than telling you if a vehicle has a branded title or an odometer discrepancy. And that is supposed to be disclosed on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide located in every car.
  4. So you've seen the carfax on both vehicles? Do you have a link to the website that lists the details on both cars? There has to be reason why there's a $5000 difference.
  5. I want Lamb, Ross, or T Jones at 14. If we trade in to the top 10 I'm taking Waiters outside of the MKG, Beal, Drummond, or Barnes dropping to us. Udoh and Sanders are definitely 5's at this point. They have no offensive skills and are more suited to guard opposing centers. Sign me up for Crowder in the second round.
  6. I give roenicke credit for that one. At least he knows his players' limitations. Weeks cant bunt (he can't hit or field either). He would of for sure f'd that up. A pop up is like the second best case scenario there.
  7. Yes. But most hitters (sans rickie weeks) will be in the 200s no matter how bad theyre hitting by June. I'd have to imagine, given PA's, Weeks is having one of the worst seasons of all time. Clutch maldi!
  8. I hate to say it, but weeks is cooked. Have been able to watch up close the last few days. Done. He's a a major net negative, and we'll be talking buyout this time next yr. I will give anyone 2 to 1 odds up to $150 that he'll not ops over his career .775 this yr or next yr. Min of 300 ab's.
  9. sully tested really poorly at the combine, but he was very productive from the word go at OSU. I'm a little skittish after he bombed at the combine though. I still would absolutely pick him before Zeller, and most likely Leonard.
  10. I'm guessing RR would like a mulligan on this inning. Absolutely no reason to take out Parra. He was dealing.
  11. If you'd like, I'll risk $60 v. your $50 since I did go overboard with the hyperbole. 450 ab's is good with me. http://www.alsa.org/donate/
  12. I remember you saying that but the article on fangraphs seems to indicate otherwise.... http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/index.php/whats-wrong-with-rickie-weeks/
  13. $50. O/U is exactly .200. I take the under, you take the over. According the zips I'm a slight dog, but that's fine since it would be for a good cause. Winner picks the charity of their choice. How about 400+ official AB's for the wager to take effect? He's at 194 right now. As you said, he's at a risk to lose playing time playing this poorly plus the risk he gets injured is pretty high given his history.
  14. that's true when you consider his career numbers, but I think if he continues to take the same approach he's had all year he'll hit under .200 from here on out. I think there's a decent chance he's cooked given his numerous injuries plus the fact he's no spring chicken anymore. Much stranger things have happened. Get this....in 48% (K's + IFFB's) of his ab's, he's virtually had no chance of getting a hit. That has got to be the highest percentage in the league.
  15. Well, he's not probably a huge dog haha, but I'd be glad to make a 50 dollar wager given a certain amount of AB's to make it fair. What do you propose, rluz?
  16. Lol. 1-15 since this post and 0 for his last 14. At this point, he's gotta be a huge dog to finish up at .200. Unfortunately, I think we're stuck with this Rickie for the year. Hopefully he can pull a Dunn and come back strong next year, otherwise he's a Suppan-esque contract going forward.
  17. Narron or Roenicke or hell even Svuem should go tell Weeks he's batting 150 and he should probably swing the bat when you're ahead 3-1 and get a middle in fastball.
  18. DPR means Dread Pirate Roenicke. Logan is the only one that seems to gets it though. I swear to god every time he uses it 5 posters are sure to follow asking what it stands for.
  19. bump for a really solid game yesterday. 2-2 (2 rockets to right), 2 BB, and 2 SB. Watched the squeeze play and he looked like a completely different guy out there. It would be awesome if he can build on it today and have another multi hit game.
  20. way too early to write off Sanders and Harris. The latter is the youngest in the league and showed that he can score efficiently right now. And Sanders came on towards the end of the year. Both should stick in the league for several years at the very least. Just gotta get rid of Skiles so they actually get minutes. I like marshall but not in the lottery. Sullinger would be a good get at 12 though.
  21. The last few weeks I think he's slowly turning it around, but then he has one at bat a night that just shows you how lost he truly is. His ab last night against Billingsley with the bases loaded was all kinds of awful. He saw 5 fastballs, all strikes. He just stared at 3 of them (one was called a ball for some reason), lunged at the other 2 and popped out to 2nd. I don't think I've ever seen a pitcher just flat out challenge him like that with the bases loaded on a 0-2 count. There was really no reason to give him fastballs right down the plate when he had him down in the count, but Billingsley just blew him away on heaters that cut the plate in half. It was more pathetic than most pitchers' plate appearances. So discouraging.
  22. and pitch 4 was right down the middle but for some reason called a ball. absolutely terrible at bat.
