That would probably be mine too. I just listened to Great Indoors today. Good tune. Since everyone is listing their honorable mentions: -The Beatles: Help! - I have spent whole days listening to the '65 - '66 era, and this one takes the cake for me. -The Rolling Stones: Between the Buttons - I liked it before seeing the Royal Tenanbaums. I swear. Completely different from other Stones albums. -The Smiths: Singles - Huge Johnny Marr fan. Morrissey writes some great (not to mention hilarious) lyrics. -The Stone Roses: The Stone Roses - Just got into them a couple of years back. -The Strokes: Is This It - Listened to this non stop my freshman year of high school. I was devastated when I couldn't make their show at Lollapolozza a few weeks ago.

What teams do you hate?

1)I hate the Twins. I've always just really despised Ron Gardenhire for some reason. I do like their new park though. Always hated watching games in the metrodome. 2 & 3) These days, the Cardinals have overtaken the Cubs on my hate list. 4) Angels. Not a fan of Scioscia. -
Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic

Not to go off on a big tangent, but it sounds like Toyota's "problems" have been really overblown. That's what I've heard too. Driver error was cited in every incident that they've investigated so far. Don't let that influence your decision. As for the original question, I guess it depends if your spending the 6K or 10k. If your spending 6, you'll probably be getting something in the 2001 - 2002 range. The Corollas from that period are prone to start burning oil before the even hit 100,000 miles (Same for its twin, Chevy Prism). Go with a Civic if your looking at those type of models. The 2003-2007 body style Corollas do not burn oil. You should be fine with one of those. If your spending close to your max price, I don't think there's a wrong answer. Civic seems a little bit more modern to me, so that's what I'd personally go with. A lot of CE or LE pkg Corollas and DX or LX Civics don't come with ABS. That's pretty crucial for midwest winters. -
And another inverted W bites the dust. Yeah, he probably should have been shut down, but with his mechanics, it's just a matter of time. Hopefully he can come back strong. Reports say strained forearm flexor tendon. Could be a precursor to a partially torn UCL.

At least the error didn't come back to get the Crew there. Just terrible fundamentals from Prince there. I can't think of another 1b in the league who doesn't make that play.

I can't believe the fans standing that close on the disputed shot. Since when do fans stand in the bunkers? It was probably the right call, but it seems everyone involved had a huge brain fart. Also, embarrassing applause for Kaymer when he won it. Probably the weakest I've ever heard for a major win. -

They pulled him. I've always thought of Gardenhire as an old-school manager, so that's pretty surprising to me. -
I hate McG, but wow, this little run has been nuts. Especially considering the guy swings at crap over his head a couple times every game. In about two days, he's raised his OPS past Braun and is about to overtake Weeks.

The rumor was that Melvin wanted Hudson + Beckham or Viciedo. Chicago didn't want to give up that much. It wasn't that Melvin didn't like Hudson. Melvin thought of Hudson as a 3 or a 4 caliber starter, which isn't a bad thing considering he's young and cheap. I think Bush Fielder for Hudson Beckham would have gotten it done, especially considering what they eventually wound up trading Hudson for.

Just got caught up on dvr. I agree with whoever said they were hoping Bush would give up some more homeruns. Also, Weeks has to lead the league in 3 pitch strikeouts. I'll never understand why that guy swings and misses so much.

Didn't Sandy Alderson retire once too? That's a better option than hiring guys that were fired, like Melvin and DePodesta. There has never been a clear reason why DePodesta was canned from his gig in LA. For all I know, Bill Plaschke was the driving force behind it. I like your thinking thundercat. I've been throwing DePo's name around here for a couple years for future DM replacements.

Yeah, it was just a bad slide by Corey. Those long legs just got all tangled up. If I remember correctly, wasn't Fielder standing at first base just watching the play at the plate develop, and that's where the players mobbed him? That is terrible baserunning. If corey's called out at home, that's what everyone is talking about.

Should be starting tonight with Wandy on the mound. Bat him leadoff, Weeks 2nd, and Corey fifth please. Note: I'm fully aware this won't happen with Macha making the lineup.

Why waste service time when this team isn't going anywhere? I'd rather give Gomez as many at-bats as possible and see if he shows any signs. I was as ticked as anyone when those two were actually on the 25 man and sat around, but at least now they're playing everyday.

There's not much to worry about, I think. This team just gives away at bats when they're down big late in games. I'm just watching from Gameday, but it looks like Weeks was trying to pull outside fastballs for the elusive 12 run HR, and Hart whiffed on three straight sliders. Sounds really familiar.

I have a feeling were gonna see some major regression from Weeks during the next two months. Dude's not gonna continue to be among the league leader in infield hits when he's not actually trying for them. He just looks awful in about half his plate apperances.
