  1. I'm gonna go one further. How in the hell did FSN not show that pitch on fox track? It might of been slightly off the plate. Rock is wrong on those more than not.
  2. Horrible baserunning by Weeks, but my god Fischer might as well be flipping a coin when he decides on sending a runner. Couns was surprised to be held up there too.
  3. Logan, my parent's old neighbor made some sauce that I think you would like. I'm the same way, I'm not a fan of Sweet Baby Ray's. Too sweet. He use to sell it at festival, but he got sick of making it. I'll see if I can find some at their house. If I have some luck, I'll send ya a pm for your address.
  4. Yeah, I believe we have only the BAE to use. Which is fine. I hate carrying a 3 pg on the roster. Delfino (or Hobson) could slide there for a game if need be. Then you go get a guy from the D's. Still, if I had my druthers /Yost, I would go out and get Delonte West. He could be the backup pg, and log some minutes at the 2.
  5. I love how announcers always reference to Braun's slight build for a homerun hitter. He's absolutely jacked.
  6. Yeesh. Weeks at-bat was one of the ugliest I've seen all year. Including pitchers.
  7. I have a hard time believing Weeks is avg at 2nd. Yes, he's rangy and can make unbelievable plays (Cardinals last Saturday), but he's still liable to make errant throws at crucial times, and for some reason can't seem to glove liners. If he can hit in the .250-.280 range, he's an on base machine, which is something we really don't have outside Prince. If we could convert him to CF or RF, I'd keep him, but I'm done with him at 2b. He worked his ass off to get where he is, but he just isn't a middle infielder.
  8. Maybe he just slipped your minds, but why not Joe Inglett? He's a 2b.
  9. Dude, that's not even funny. Do you realize how epic that .02 points has turned out to be? You probably, do, and are just making me relive the horror. The Brewers had Mike Trout targeted last year, and the Angels picked him 1 spot in front of us. If we would we gotten the Yankees pick, we'd have drafted Trout, who is having 1 of the greatest 1st full seasons of any HS draftee in recent history. He is hitting 362/453/528 with 43 steals in 51 attempts while playing good defense in CF. Well that's just depressing. I'd rather have not known that haha.
  10. Damn. I didn't even think of the Ben Wallace option for the Heat. He'd be a good fit. He also owns Bogut.
  11. I was just gonna make the same parallels between Chalmers and Rondo. I figured he wasn't that good when they won it all. And let's not forget that this Big 3 is just entering their prime. Bosh is the worst of this big 3, and he's probably better than any of the 3 from Boston. Forgot about their second rounders too. Butler will be serviceable if he's healthy, and Varnado has the potential to be a pretty good garbage man. I know nothing about Pittman. But as long as he can catch, he should be able to get 5 lay-ins a night. Riley is a master indeed.
  12. My thoughts on the last 24 hours: -Good news on the Gooden deal. I basically had accepted the fact that it was 5 yrs guaranteed. Anything less now is gravy. -What can be said about Lebron's decision that hasn't already been said. Quite shocking. I personally wanted to see him go to the Knicks. -With D Wade and Lebron on the same team, I doubt we'll see LRMAM traded. He's our best perimeter defender by far. -Dan Gilbert is gonna really, really regret guaranteeing the Cavs will win a championship before the Heat. That still cracks me up every time I read it. He needs to blow it up, rebuild thru the draft and create cap space. If he doesn't, they'll toil in mediocrity for the next decade. Lebron's gonna win a championship in the next five years. He needs to get a grip. Which brings me to my next point.... -I think Hammond will make a run at AV and Delonte. Michael Redd's expiring and probably Ersan (I'd much rather throw in a unprotected first rounder. Ersan took a paycut to come back to milwaukee specifically) for those two would solidfy this team as a legit contender. Delonte could handle backup pg duties, and AV gives us the two of the best big man defenders in the league.
  13. Nice hat-trick for Weeks. This team just gives away bats after they get down big. Pretty sick of it.
  14. We also have a 1% chance of making the playoffs. That sums up the buy/sell "debate" nicely. Someone send this to Mark Attanasio.
  15. Yeah, yoshii, my bad. They weren't on the team together, so they didn't technically split time. The data still works though. They played with the same 4 players, and Gooden's was significantly worse on D while not being any better on O.
  16. Woelfel had a column last night saying the Bucks aren't going to retain Ridnour. Also mentioned the Bucks are interested in FDL native Travis Diener. There's just no way you can go into the season with him as your backup pg though. We need a guy who has some size. As twirl mentioned in the last thread, Keyon Dooling would be perfect. He's big, can hit the 3 ball, and he's a great teammate.
  17. Strawboss: When Gooden was traded to the Clips last year, he and Camby split time at the 4 with Kaman at the 5. PG, SG, and SF were all constants (same players). Offensive efficiency was basically the same (and Camby has the rep as a poor offensive C, should be worse as a PF) and defensive efficiency was way down. Same when you do the head to head's with Craig Smith. Same thing early in the year with Dampier vs. Gooden. I expect it to continue with LRMAM and Ersan this year. (If they're not traded) As for Iverson. No. He's not really a true pg, or a good mentor for BJ.
  18. A big revelation since the announced signings is Salmons contract is basically 4 years. That alone has me more confident in his deal rather than Gooden's. Not to mention I like Salmons' game better than Gooden's. I'm a big believer in coaches' defensive schemes as a whole being more important than individual defenders, but there's no way I'm getting on board with Gooden being a good defender. Maybe Skiles can turn him into a below avg one, but for now, he's dreadful. Definitely a good rebounder though. Can get up on the O glass, which is huge.
  19. Ersan definitely cannot play the 3. I've heard this mentioned many times on talk radio. He's a 4.
  20. Escobar just doesn't seem to make the plays we all heard he supposedly did routinely in the minors. That's not to take a shot at the minor league gurus here either. It seemed the praise was pretty universal.
  21. I don't think I've ever seen a hitter take a pitch that far down the middle on a 3-2 count. LOL at weeks.
  22. Detroit was basically the lone team to do that though. It's probably not a great blueprint for a championship, but at this point, the Bucks just need to have a few above avg seasons to get fan interest back. Then we can start talking about a new arena. We gotta hope Jennings blows up, and Bogut comes back to the level he played at this last year. He was a top 20 player in the league last year.
  23. Funny. Blake is probably a worse player. We went all in. The Bucks might as well resign ridnour. We have bird rights on him, so hammond can go higher on him. Otherwise it's the bi annual exception, and that will only land a total scrub like Anthony Carter.
