  1. Yep, he looks good. Keeps the ball down with a pretty good change. Low 90's. He's now had a few guys popout because they were way in front of his change.
  2. Parra didn't pitch too bad considering he isn't stretched out at all. Of course, great play by McG and Fielder.
  3. It was a straight steal on an 0-1 count. Looked like he just beat it.
  4. Yeah, I didn't get in an uproar about Gallardo getting squeezed last night. I thought for the most part they were close, but balls. But Manny definitely got screwed a couple times to the leadoff hitter and Phillips.
  5. I was just gonna say the same thing bklyn. Parra looks really good.
  6. Wow, that's a new one. You just can't make this stuff up.
  7. It's truly becoming a Jason Kendall situation, except he's coming off of a 30 game injury shortened season. 3 for his last 3o with 10 k's, and only one well struck ball in that period.
  8. It sure would have been nice to have some runners on there. Braun killed that thing.
  9. I'd also look at DePodesta. He had a really good (but short) run in LA, and seems he was replaced for personal reasons more than anything.
  10. We've done this a lot lately. Shutdown threw the whole game and throw up 2 or 3 in the ninth to make it look like pitching is our only problem.
  11. Corey Hart has been great this year. One of the few bright spots imo. He looks like the 2007 version.
  12. This team is just a wreck in all phases. Horrible defense, hitting, pitching, managing, etc.... And now a bomb by Gomes. Please make some changes TONIGHT.
  13. Weeks has been behind nearly every fastball for the past week and a half. I've never seen that from him. He could of used plenty of days off by now.
  14. Six years ago, did you think we'd have 2 of the top 10 best hitters in the league on the team? I didn't, and it's kind of scary to imagine we only will see one postseason appearance (where we got mopped) from having such a unique duo.
  15. Bad news. Parks & Rec is only gonna be a half season next year. Some show called 'Outsourced' is taking over the first part of the season. What a shame. I know the first season was really bad, but this show is a lot better than The Office and 30 Rock.
  16. Yeah, doesn't sound like Joe has any bias in this discussion.
  17. Hoffman's best appearance of the year? The Werth at bat was vintage Hoffman from last year. Watch 2 fastball strikes and then flail at the changeup.
  18. Im pretty sure he was refering to Carlos getting his job done I thought he had said you don't see a hitter like utley swing at pitches like that often, but he got the job done. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't put it past him.
  19. "But, he got the job done." - Joe Morgan on Utley's fluke run scoring strikeout. He's the ultimate ROM (results oriented moron).
  20. Hart has an .855 OPS this year. Nice to see he's actually performing after getting his big payday.
