  1. Rock says Suppan may be forced to eat a couple of innings tonight. After all, that's what we paid him for. Fitting.
  2. Don't expect it. Macha said he wants to start all 162, and he'll probably let him.
  3. Why is he hitting? And why was he bunting? What the heck is going on here.
  4. You can't improve your batting average when you put the ball in play once a game. 6 for his last 35 with 15 strikeouts. Just so odd. This last week he's consistently looked as bad as I ever remember a hitter looking. Nothing hit hard.
  5. Lol, and then a pitch right down the middle is called a ball. He should be fired at the end of the inning.
  6. Pull through Viggo. He's got an awesome coat, menotti.
  7. 3 for his last 27, with god knows how many strikeouts, so it's not like he's getting unlucky.
  8. That was a great at bat by Casey. Some nasty fastballs by Dotel and he still squares one up. He has been phenomenal this year. Clearly our 3rd best hitter. Ugh brutal at bat by Esco and Edmonds there. Especially esco with the bases loaded. That was lolbad.
  9. I hate the IBB, but right here it's not bad. McGehee is a good dp guy, and Fielder will struggle to score on most doubles.
  10. Exactly, hawing. He started the year on the dl last year, didn't he? I just don't see the point of a player ever hiding an injury. It doesn't make sense in any scenario. Hoffman basically said the same thing I was thinking earlier in the thread. His changeup is rarely a strike. If he falls behind with regularity, he's gonna get pounded.
  11. It was a 71 mph breaking pitch that didn't really break. He's been getting himself out for about 5 games now. I'm a bit worried considering he's such a wild card for this team.
  12. Yeah, that's what I meant. I think the franchises are trending in opposite directions.
  13. Yeah, you got me there. But he's been pitching from behind a lot this year, so I think that kinda explains it. I recall last year, when Trevor was really on early in the year, my dad and I always marveled that guys would just sit there and take til they got 2 strikes on them, watching get me over fb's in the process.
  14. He's struggling with fastball location, and his change up is more of an out pitch, as it's rarely a strike. If he's behind, it's tough for him to throw it. Makes it very easy for ML hitters.
  15. weeks swings right through a 71 mph pitch. and he got 4 strikes that at bat. just terrible.
  16. Someone needs to tell Trevor that he's Jeff Suppan if he doesn't throw a change up.
