  1. Yeah if anyone knows where to find this it would be greatly appreciated. I bought one at MP in 2003 during "Jeffrey Hammonds Bobblehead Day". Need a new one, its really beat up.
  2. There is a guy walking around UWM with a #59 Brewer customized jersey. It reads TURNBLOW. Thought it was kind of funny. Sure couldn't see anyone dropping around $100 for it though.
  3. Man, I'm starting to question who hasn't Jenkins "dated". He sounds kind of like Milwaukee's version of Wade Boggs.
  4. I've noticed Fielder, Braun, and even Weeks are even-keeled guys off the field. Each are not afraid to show quite a bit of emotion during a big play of a game when it's appropriate though. Gotta love that.
  5. Yep, one of several hilarious music rants in the movie.
  6. Quick observations from the game: Our D has been great so far. Billy has been real good and even Weeks has looked really solid out there so far. The bullpen is awesome. I can't believe Riske was only hitting 87 on the gun. Really looks a lot faster. Like the guy a lot. Seemed after the first time thru the order our approach at the plate was better. More patient for sure.
  7. That's great to hear!!! I always thought Cirillo was a bad speaker after that horrible Time Warner Cable commercial. You could hardly understand anything he was saying because he was talking really quiet and they made him hold his hands in a weird position, making it really awkward. Whoever directed that commercial was terrible.
  8. Blue Jays in the A.L. and Dodgers in the N.L. My dad loved the Dodgers growing up so I always liked them and when I was a kid I always loved the Blue Jays just because of their uniforms. I like them now for other reasons.
  9. Using his logic on evaluating a player on one game (Gagne), I'm sure he's convinced that he's already a great player since he went 2 for 3 his first game.
  10. If you saw the replay and you have a brain in your head you knew Alou wasn't catching that ball.
  11. 3. I said it yesterday in some other thread but I'll say it again. Sheets had better stuff and pitched better than any time last year. When he's healthy like he is right now, I gotta give Sheets the edge. 4. He's gotta be. Everyone knows yesterday was a huge blunder. We couldn't buy a baserunner and he goes and gets picked off of second base. Just thinking about it infuriates me. I don't know who else in the league is notorious for being a bad baserunner, but Hall is the worst I can think of. Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember Counsell making some bad decisions last year on the basepaths. Like being out at third going for a triple by about 10 feet.
  12. So GOB isn't the only person to ever use one? http://techdigest.tv/arrested-development-segway.jpg
  13. Last year when I was just a lurker here someone had Jenkins (I think) and some other players going to the Nats for Chad Cordero. I fell for that one but not this year.
  14. I knew one of these would be popping up soon. This is the first time in years I have remembered April 1 so I called Jamie's bluff there.
  15. There were a couple things that really stuck out to me. First, foul tipped strike 3's were something Estrada would drop consistently last year. I would love to see what the final number was last year. It was very high. Kendall handled a couple with ease. (As most catchers do) The foul pop he caught (I think in the 10th) was a very difficult play. It wasn't very high so he didn't have much time and by that time in the game the wind was swirling. With Estrada, no chance. He probably doesn't get there in time. If he does he still misses it because he never takes of his mask. It was one game and there were several plays he made that had me very impressed.
  16. Simple question, what is your number one played song on Itunes? Mine is............Under My Thumb by The Rolling Stones
  17. I know you guys at RealGM are very impressed with Rose. I saw him for the first time on Sunday and it's pretty hard not to be. If we luck out and get the first or second pick and are actually able to draft him, what do you think about him and Mo as the starting backcourt? Is his defense good or potentially good enough to justify this? He seems to be Wade's size. I'd like to then turn around and trade Redd for anything that would include a middle first round pick to draft the best SF available.
  18. I have no idea why Prince went for that tag. It goes against common sense in every which way. Takes longer to go tag the runner as the base is closer, its gonna be a tie almost always because your glove is right over the bag, and there was a good chance for a collision resulting in an injury. (Probably just for Pie; running into Prince would be like running into a brick wall)
  19. Yeah no kidding. In hindsight the only bad decision he made was probably bunting TGJ in the 9th. But he did everything right with the pitching. Sheets was taken out at the right time IMO, and it was smart to leave Gagne in for the next batter to see if he could calm down after the homer. I really like our bullpen. It would be huge if we could get some bounce back years out of a couple of our relievers.
  20. Yeah I can definitely believe Rowand wanted to go there. Heck, Zito went there even was Bonds was there because the money was so good. A guy will play anywhere if the money is right. No doubt they're gonna be horrible. At least when the Brewers sucked we didn't give huge money to mediocre players (Jeffrey Hammonds aside). Teh Seligs kept their wallets shut and they were laughin' all the way to the bank. I can't think the Giants F.O. are doing the same.
  21. Exactly. My opinion of Gwynn hasn't changed with todays performance. He's a singles hitter, and some of them dropped in today. I'm not usually one to complain about the umps, but the calls went more the Cubs way today. In Fukudome's 2nd at bat, Sheets struck him out a couple of times but the official result was a walk because of a pin-sized strike zone. And Pie was out but it was too close to get mad over. If we would of wound up losing that inning no doubt I would have been mad. Great performance by Sheets though. He looked better today than ANY start last year.
  22. I'm hoping for a torn tendon a la Zumaya.
  23. What a duel. Sheets keeping it down with big hammer curve and Z with the best movement I've ever seen from him.
  24. I'm willing to give Yi one more year. His start was way too promising to give up on. I'm sure he'll hardly get any rest though with the Olympics coming up, so he probably won't be able to work on his upper body as much as they'd like. Doug Collins just did us a favor, what has he ever done to deserve both positions. And didn't Walsh go to the Knicks? I would definitely be down with Brown as coach though.
