  1. It was a weird game at the plate. We actually hit quite a few balls hard. Definitely more than the game we won in the series. If luck was on our side we could of probably put up 4 or 5 today. For the most part, we just ran bad imo. Harang only threw 99 pitches and Cordero 8. That is really dissapointing. Really should have tried to take some pitches in the middle innings to get his pitch count up. This Reds team is tough. The top two of their order played way over their heads but from the 3 thru 7 spots they are dangerous. With the way our top 4 hitters performed this series we were definitely lucky to win one game.
  2. Brandon Phillips cannot believe he caught that ball.
  3. This game is so painful to watch that I've switched to gameday. The approach at the plate is so bad right now.
  4. Where did this come from? But yeah I would too.
  5. Rickie is hitting a ton of weak ground balls to 2B this year.
  6. I just bought There Will Be Blood on DVD. Great movie. Met my huge expectations going into it. But the packaging on this thing sucks. It's made out of cardboard and it's already scratched after just watching it once. It's basically just a hallmark card protecting the disc. I'm all about saving the environment or whatever, but not at the cost of my movie collection.
  7. The highest the WMLW gun had him was 94. For example, when he struck out Freel with the high heat. His first couple pitches and then to Keppinger said his fastball was hitting only 88-89.
  8. With an offense built like ours he should have no problem getting his saves. Just ask Joe Borowski. I'd rather let our better relievers come in during the high pressure situations anyways. Tonight I wasn't impressed with Gagne's stuff at all. When he missed he missed by a couple feet and he really has to reach back to hit 94.
  9. Awesome video TLB. Loved this picture from Sunday's game. http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/apr08/ben06b.jpg
  10. Can't say I'm surprised. I think Bill Simmons said in one of his podcasts that we don't need year round football. Another league will never be successful. With the preseason, regular season, and playoffs spanning from late July to early February I think we're covered.
  11. What a nasty rotation the Reds have put together in just a couple of years. Cueto, Bailey, Volquez eventually teaming up with Harang and Arroyo. I know it's still early but if those 3 guys pan out in the next year or so, Cincy will be a nightmare to play. With our lineup and their pitching I think these two teams are gonna become pretty big rivals in the next few seasons.
  12. Yeah I heard Sheets mention something about that. Very sad indeed.
  13. To be fair, that pitch wasn't even close to being a strike. Nice to see the Bucs get out of that inning though. Theriot did his best to make two outs on teh bases there, but the umps and the Pirates just wouldn't cooperate. What a gamer.
  14. Congrats to Rickie. Quite the company on that list. Love to see my favorite Brewer doing well. A few of us thought that we saw the start of some bad habits that were seen June and July '07 from Rickie. He wasn't getting unlucky and not finding the holes kinda like JJ is right now, he was pretty out of sync. Guys like Al can write on their blogs that "it boggles the mind that some people don't understand simple math." I don't mean to sound like Joe Morgan, but at the end of the day you have to remember that these are human beings playing baseball. You can't just look at a boxscore and attribute struggles to a small sample everytime.
  15. Agreed. We built a stadium with a retractable roof for a reason. I personally don't want to see it open until its 65.
  16. That is correct. Last year against the Pirates sometime in May I got to answer the question on the jumbotron about Fielder's first career homerun.
  17. Okay finally got some pics: http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk116/pascare2/shop105-1.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk116/pascare2/shop104.jpg
  18. I was a big Paul fan coming out of college and thought he was the best player in the draft. But since we had TJ and Mo I didn't see the need for him. I thought that Bogut would become an elite big man, and he still just may become one. I never wanted to take Marvin Williams. On another note, I never thought Deron Williams was gonna turn into such a good player. I was stunned when he went ahead of Paul but one could definitely justify it now.
  19. All the people that complain about Bill really need to look around the league. It could be much worse. Didn't it say Encarncion bats something like .360 with RISP. How does that not meet his definition of clutch? What an idiot.
  20. I don't know if this has been posted anywhere but apparently the whole organization is clueless. Jeff Brantley. What a blowhard. Link: http://www.withleather.com/post.phtml?pk=5427
  21. I'm talking about an authentic barrel man hat I bought at MP 5 years ago. I will try to post a picture this weekend.
  22. I'll be in the library all day, studying for my exam at 6:30. Hopefully I can come home after and watch the DVR'd game without hearing about the score or highlights all day. Gonna be tough. Go Brewers!!
  23. Eastbay: 30% off everything except Jordan products and baseball bats.
  24. I don't have a picture of it and I left it at my parents house in Oshkosh. Description: It has the barrel man from your avatar with that front part of the hat being yellow. The bill and the rest of the hat is blue. It has the same M on the back of the hat from the hat you pictured above. The seams that come down from the top of the hat are outlined in white, which imo is the coolest part. If I come across them I'll post it here.
