  1. Is this confirmed? It's hard to dig through this thread and find where this was said. Did Carroll bring this up in his Amazon.com article. I haven't really heard from anyone else that his legal team replicated the extreme results. Carroll stated it on twitter. Not sure if it is in his article
  2. I have no idea if this is true but if as Will Carroll claims Braun's team was able to replicate the results I can see why MLB would be so worried about Braun being exonerated. This would have the potential to open up a whole can of worms. If the issue is that their standard operating procedure of bringing the sample back home was able to skew test results then it is a huge issue that MLB does not want to be let out. Now maybe Carroll is wrong and it was just that the chain of custody was messed up, but if he followed MLB policy but Braun's team showed how that policy could lead to results like Braun's MLB is not sitting pretty.
  3. Digging up his earlier comments on this scene, they sound like perhaps Braun could have just been annoyed at having to pee in cup (certainly understandable). http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/DanBickley/150636 We heard earlier that he said something jokingly like this is what happens when you go 3-5 or whatever he did. It sounded like he was in a good mood after the game, but was a little annoyed at having to go take the test. I didn't read too much into it. Yeah a guy not loving the fact that he has to take a drug test after right after winning a playoff game means absolutely nothing. He probably wanted to go celebrate. People on both sides are really stretching for stuff right now
  4. I'm okay with Peralta that low because prior to 2011 he never really put things together is such as a way that indicated he was more than just a guy. Sure he showed some flashes of brilliance. Sure he had good tools. But last year was the first time he really put his game together and displayed the ability and success we hoped from him. It was great to see him get better even as he moved up to AAA, but I can see how some will be a bit skeptical. My only issue with that is prospect lists are often as much about potential as they are about results. Peralta has really good potential and put up good results yet he is behind some guys with less success or no professional innings.
  5. That article is horrible. His response to quotes from Romero and Morse at the end are complete conjecture. The part about why Braun shouldnt pursue legal action - because he would be forced to tell his side to a court and since he is lying he would be guilty of perjury is not journalism but bias thoughts and feelings. I can understand people not being convinced Braun is innocent but when people are positive he is a cheater that frustrates me
  6. http://cnnsi.com/2012/writers/seth_davis/02/27/Hoop.Thoughts/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_wr_a1 Man I love Buzz and this team. I was surprised to hear the taunting card being played, when I saw it originally I didn't see the intent or that it was on the WVA logo at center court. Good to hear Buzz clear it up. Shouldnt be too surprising to hear the taunting card get thrown out. In the UConn game Buzz looked back at the student section after the win and yelled "whats up now" Not terrible but he is pretty emotional and excitement after a win can seem like taunting
  7. Think Peralta is too low but other than I can never argue about not highly ranking guys who have yet to pitch. I think all 4 of those guys could make huge jumps this year. I hope we can get an impact bat or two from this draft
  8. Charles Pierce at Grantland has a Braun article this morning. Not much new it in all though he did call out MLB and baseball writers. He has to be one of the few sport writers defending Braun http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7620049/in-defense-ryan-braun
  9. I only try to guess the major categories and since I figured the Artist would clean up and that Streep would win I did pretty well.
  10. This is one of the arguments Will Carroll has been making on twitter. Do we really know synthetic T showed up from anyone outside of the original leak and do we know what tests showed this leak? I am so confused by the science stuff that I just wait for people hear to explain stuff
  11. I would make the same prediction for myself. This is definitely the least I have cared about the Oscars in quite a while. Completely agree but yet I did end up watching a few minutes
  12. Where has this Rob Wilson been? He looks confident and is actually playing defense
  13. What a huge win for Wisconsin!
  14. Good article. This guy is a blogger and writer for the Dodgers and seems legit. The comments section was really solid
  15. Florio is probably the worst excuse for a sports journalist anywhere. I have no clue how this guy got a job with nbc. All he does is wildly speculate or create stories out of nothing. If anything he should work at espn
  16. ESPN's legal guy kept saying it was left out on a dresser or something. He didnt even say it was refrigerated. Not sure if it was true or not but that would be crazy
  17. I think if you go back to the start of this situation those fans who thought Braun was probably guilty of juicing are mostly still in that camp and those who thought he was or probably was innocent are now firmly in that camp. Seems like the guys questioning Braun still are the same ones who were 3 months ago
  18. This article weighs in a little more on Narveson's claims http://scott-miller.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6270335/34975367
  19. Carroll's article if for sale on Amazon for those who want to pay 99 cents for it http://www.amazon.com/Braun-Wins-Appeal-ebook/dp/B007D2IJ3I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330111884&sr=8-1
  20. Wow a pro-Braun article. http://danny-knobler.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/8590096/34964084 Jon Heyman weighs in as well @JonHeymanCBS: ryan braun should be considered innocent, not lucky. test holder delay is no technicality
  21. The didnt throw him under the bus because it is not uncommon for those tests not to go directly to FedEx. The fact that Bud Selig is going after the Brewers this hard most likely tells alot about this story. Dissapointing but true. What? That was definitely not standard operating procedures with the availability of places to send it out. And Selig is going after the "Brewers" the same way he would anyone because this got leaked and MLB doesnt want to look bad. Why do you think it got leaked to the press Thursday when before Braun could schedule a presser. They wanted to be the first to spin the story
  22. MLB could have just thrown the handler under the bus, instead they threw Braun. Weird choice if you ask me
  23. Wow, what a turd. I can't believe people honestly believe that. Selig is the reason we have drug-testing, why would he want the system to fail? It just doesn't make sense. Also isnt MLB angry about the ruling and looking at trying to take this the courts? So the head of the MLB tries to get Braun off crushing his own steroid program all well his "agency" is trying to pursue legal recourse. That makes sense
  24. any updates on what the talking heads at MLB Network and ESPN are saying?
