  1. That last AB by Corey in the 9th is what scares me long term. 3 straight whiffs on sliders.
  2. Awful pitch selection by Manny/Lucroy there. THROW THE CURVE! He couldn't hit it for 2 AB's.
  3. And what do you know, Venters suspension dropped following his hearing. What a joke. http://www.rotoworld.com/...n.aspx?id=6334&sport=MLB
  4. This is an awful deal for the Astros.
  5. I think most of us figured the Rangers would be a very good destination in the past. Adding the fact of their depth in the farm system, and this is looking fairly good for us.
  6. TH did say however that Hart was throwing on the field today.
  7. I just want to hurry up and get Corey in the lineup so offers start coming in.
  8. According to Rosenthal Williams is confident in getting Prince or Dunn. I'm still holding out hope that Dunn is willing to workout an extension with the Nats. It's so important to get another big bat off the market.
  9. Good news. I really hope we hear more speculation soon.
  10. I said this in the other thread, but I pray that Corey's going to be okay. I'm really hoping for some minor bruising or a sprain at worst. Talk about awful luck.
  11. Great news on Prince's market heating up. It was only a matter of time that teams got interested despite all the negative reports coming out recently of his worth.
  12. I think I read on MLBTR that the Nationals are pretending he's Ryan Howard in trade negotiations. The harder he is to obtain, obviously, the better our chances of getting a deal done. I just don't see many partners right now with Prince's salary next year coming into play. I just hope we get something decent in return when we do indeed deal him.
  13. I'm glad someone brought up the idea of adding another prospect to get a better pitcher. If we're *this* close to Hellickson/Bumgarner, adding a guy on our side would be the right thing to do. I really don't want to give up Gamel in such a deal because I still have a lot of hope for him, but there are others that might have interest to those teams.
  14. That's the type of thinking involving around Sanchez that really bugs me. Yes, he'd be an upgrade to our pitching staff, but our staff is awful. Just because he's a good fit in our rotation doesn't mean he would be equal value for Hart. And I don't mean to single you out, it's just that idea that bothers me.
  15. I have no idea why would you think Sanchez would be a steal for Hart. The guy will be turning 28 (!) at the end of this year. Has command issues. I think you seriously underestimate Hart which Brewers fans did at the beginning of this guy. Teams covet power which Hart certainly brings. If Melvin dealt Hart for Sanchez, I'd be furious.
  16. Obviously have a few memories of Geoff, but I'll never forget that throw of his when he gunned down Aramis Ramirez at third while throwing from the RF warning track.
  17. Sanchez is a guy I'm very surprised the Brewers are supposedly interested in. I liked the guy the last few years, but I went to look up his stats, and then bam, he's going to turn 28 in November! Now, he's a decent pitcher, but at 28, I don't want him in any Prince deal. I'm really hoping for young pitching in return.
  18. Gerut is on the DL. I know he his, but I wasn't sure if he could be released while on the DL. Appears not. If this is related to Gallardo's DL stint, then this does make some sense.
  19. Very happy for Lo. I've been penciling him in the OF for the last two years, but with that injury really set him back last year. I really wonder if this is exactly what someone mentioned prevouisly in this thread. (can Lo take Hart's spot if they trade him?) Or does this mean Gerut is let loose?
