  1. I was just going to mention this. If this team traded Lawrie for pitching, I would be irate. I understand this team needs pitching, but Lawrie is the guy the Brewers should use to make up for Fielder's/Hart's departure. This team needs that new wave of hitting prospects to replace those guys not trade them away. With that being said, I have very little confidence in Melvin.
  2. I really hope Yovani is okay. Those side strains can have long recoveries.
  3. Go figure, Yovani isn't getting that low strike call, but Wainwright is.
  4. Ridnour apparently had a 4/12 offer from the Lakers that he was willing to accept, but they took Blake instead.
  5. Ugh, come on Axford. Walking the first guy is never a good thing.
  6. I don't see in on any Directv alternate channels. Anyone see it on somewhere?
  7. Agreed on both accounts. I really love Lucory's ability to frame pitches. That was one of the first things I saw out of him that I love. Maybe it's just that Kottaras can't frame a pitch naturally so that makes Lucroy's ability to frame look that much better, I don't know.
  8. I was always under the impression that Bush deserved more starts because I personally thought he was pitching really well prior to getting hit on the elbow last year, but I'm not sure I want him starting anymore. He's really not fooling anyone right now with his stuff and he doesn't have the control to offset his 'stuff'. We all know Narveson struggles to get RH's out sometimes, but he's at least got a future here. I can't say that about Bush. But going back to the question, I hope they trade to try Bush, but is that realistic?
  9. I also want to add that I need to give Macha some credit despite the fact that I've ridiculed him for a while.. There has been numerous occasions where he hasn't stood up for his players, but that did that today. How does the team respond? By falling flat on their face.... Good job team.
  10. I missed McGehee's. I turned it on right when the ball was bouncing away from him. It didn't look like he had to move much, did he? Because if he's starting to make errors on balls hit at him, he's completely useless on defense and he's been completely useless on offense for about a month. Ugh.I was listening to the game at that time, but Provus said if McGehee lets it go, it's a routine play for Escobar. I'm getting sick of our team defense the last few years. If I was a pitcher on this team, I'd make every attempt to strike guys out because they won't be getting much help behind them.
  11. For some reason, he's getting the Sheets treatment from the offense. Really hope they continue to roll with him in the rotation. This organization hasn't shown to be very smart with the rotation however so I hope they don't screw it up. Oh, and this defense pisses me off. Bunch of sieves.
  12. I would want Hart and Lee part of a 3 way deal, where Hart goes to Seattle, Lee goes to some other team who gives up a few prospects to Milwaukee. That was how I was reading it. Not wanting to give up Gamel just yet, but Hart can go!Yeah, I agree with you there. I think it's too early to give up on Gamel unless you can get a stud pitcher. (but that's probably not realistic)
  13. And then what? Lose Lee in 4 months? I wouldn't do that in either scenario and definitely not Gamel. No way. Read the bolded portion.Ok. My fault, but I still think that's a risky proposition.
  14. Sounds good to me! When can this be done? And then what? Lose Lee in 4 months? I wouldn't do that in either scenario and definitely not Gamel. No way.
  15. The irony of this comment is breathtaking. haha. I also didn't know his father posted here. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. Suppan got lucky to escape the first. He got the first two guys, but then loaded the bases only to get the last guy out. It's not like he was cruising.
