    Fantastic news. We needed to get Yo locked up and having Braun locked up will definitely lead us in the right direction. We need to keep the core guys and make a run. If, and this is a big if, Weeks stays healthy I would love to see him extended after this year, but that's putting the cart before the horse. I wonder why this means for Prince. Yay or nay?

    I'm just glad they took Brantley over LuCroy. I know Brantley is going to be a very good player, but we need a good young catcher. I think LuCroy starts as soon as next year.

    Who is making this decision? Is it Macha or is it Melvin? I can't believe Macha would be this stupid, but if Melvin had something to do with it I'd understand. Melvin doesn't want his $12 million pitcher in the bullpen which in itself is stupid. Doesn't this team realize that the 3,4,5 games that Suppan is going to lose will end up killing us at the end of the year when fighting for a playoff spot? This team goes out in the offseason to try and shore up the pitching staff and they just give the 5 spot to Suppan over better options? Just plain dumb.

    There's a good possibility Redd doesn't see the floor next year. The Bucks won't let him come back too soon while collecting insurance and Redd always tries to come back early and gets hurt again. His contract possibilities will be very interesting indeed.

    Huh? He played that fine.I was watching on the mix channel on directv and it looked like he was slow to play that ball. Like I said, I just thought it looked like that. Trevor does it again!

    Watching the feeds from other teams really gives you an appreciation for our guys, to say the least. I think I remember there being complaints about the Colorado announcers from those of us who have been watching on MLB.TV the past couple years.I didn't hear that stuff from them about Gomez, but I thought they were pretty complementary before that.

    Ideally, I'd love to have Rickie as the future 5, but there's so many problems if we do that. First, Gomez and Escobar have to show they can get on base consistently, which we haven't seen yet. I'll also add that I'd rather see Gomez lead off if he continues to hit well. Let Gomez use his speed instead of being scared to run with Braun and Prince coming up. Weeks can rack up more RBI's with Gomez hopefully on base. I think Rickie would tend to change his approach a little if he batted 5 instead of 1 or 2. Now, it wouldn't make much sense to take Ab's away from Rickie if Gomez is really struggling to get on base, but it wouldn't be the worst thing if Gomez can get on and let Weeks bat behind him.

    At what point do the Brewers consider platooning Hart or if he really struggles into the season, releasing him? It's probably a good thing he turned done with contract extension a few years ago. Granted, I would love to see him get back to 2007 form, but that was 2 long years ago for Corey. This lineup could really use a resurgent Hart.
