  1. Ultimately, this year is key for Escobar in AAA. That's really all this whole debate is about. We all know JJ can hit and field, but can Escobar hit? Maybe his defense and price won't outshine JJ. I continue to go back and forth on this debate, so just let the season start. What's with Escobar having 3 errors in ST? It seems like he makes great plays and boots the easy ones.
  2. I'm surprised to see why everyone wants to move Weeks to CF. If Cain is ready to go next year, there's no reason to block him by putting Weeks there. I know this has been beaten to death, but Weeks is a cheap, average 2B. I don't see many 2B stars out there.
  3. I'll throw my name in the Weeks bobblehead. Thanks for your generosity
  4. Not the type of injury I like to see, but at least Lo Cain will get more AB's. I really like that kid.
  5. If Lamb doesn't start hitting, I'm not convinced he will make the team. McGehee could be the guy off righties.
  6. Sweetness I played Legend mode against the cubs. I started Yo and he went 6+ and gave up 2 runs. It was 2-2 until the top of the 8th when the cubs scored a run. Leading off the bottom half was a PH. Well, let's just say Brad Nelson hit a PH HR to tie it. Weeks doubled and Brauny doubled as well to give me the 4-3 lead. Hells bells came in and shut the door. This feels great. You really have to be patient with the hitting. I couldn't lay off Big Z's slider and it hurt me badly, but not enough.
  7. Bye-bye Jorge. It was nice knowing you. I doubt Chase Wright and Green make the team as well. I would much rather prefer DiFelice.
  8. So you would trade Escobar for a 32 year old pitcher who's pitched 1800+ innings in his career? Halladay is a great pitcher, but how long does he have left at his age? If I'm trading Escobar, I want a young #2. Is that possible? I don't know...
  9. I always did. I also wrote a note, but I don't think that's necessary.
  10. I think we have to realize that JJ didn't develop power overnight. Let's give Escobar some time to see if he can develop some power. Honestly, if Escobar hits well this year, Escobar would be my choice. I love JJ, but the defense is just so much better and the price.
  11. I have always wanted to update my mvp rosters because it was such a great game. The only question is, how would you do this for PS2? I also would like to know how to do operational sports download with my ps2. I wonder if the procedure is different for ps2 as was posted?
  12. That was something I was going to bring up too. Escobar has to keep getting better at hitting, but this might turn out to be a sticky situation. You can't blame JJ for not wanting to move, and you can't blame for the Brewers for not wanting to move Escobar with a great glove. It just stinks that this team has other flaws, 3B and/or 2B(who knows about Rickie) and two of the better players on the team will be SS. I just have a bad feeling about how this is going to turn out.
  13. So much for Braun learning to be patient. Is that two or three AB's that he swung at the first pitch.
  14. Braun with a fielder's choice in his first AB. Took a first pitch fastball to 3rd.
  15. Well, I finally got the bats out of a slump. I played under legend for the hell of it. I also played the Nationals. 7 runs on 8 hits and 5 HR's (Hardy-2, Cameron, Fielder, and Hart) Too bad I gave up 11 runs. lol I like how all my HR's were on normal swing. I thought you would need power swing to hit one out, but that's not the case.
  16. I'm really happy for Brad. He'd be an asset off the bench. If Cain has some more games like this, it won't be long before he's up. He's obviously not going to start, but who knows of TGJ.
  17. Do I have to do the RTTS? It's on the same menu as games modes, quick game? Sorry, I sound like a idiot. Also, I'm playing on PS2 if that matters.
  18. Another question, apparently the game has a batting practice mode? Unless I'm blind, I can't find it in the menu where batting practice is an option.
  19. Is there anyway to identify a pitch? Like mvp, you could see the colored ball. Hitting just seems difficult although I never had the show. As far as pitching, do you guys just nibble at the corners, or do you throw pitches that make batters chase?
  20. This might be a stupid question as I have never bought the show before, but I did this year. Does it have like batting practice like mvp 05 did? Like you pick a hitter and just try to advance to the next level or something.
  21. I'd say 3GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, and dual-core or core2duo processor at 2.0GB or higher would get you a really nice machine. Pretty much what I have now, expect I have a 2.4GB core2duo processor. I'd also recommend getting a 12 cell battery. I know there are 8 and 6 cell batteries, but my 12 lasts so much longer.
  22. As far as PC's I would go either Dell or HP. I have a HP and like it alot. I know Dell makes some good laptops. I guess Toshiba would be okay as well, but I'm not that big of a fan.
  23. Is he the CF of the future? What kind of numbers would he have to put up to be the starting CF in '10? I suppose it is a possibility he could get called up in September? no? I know he lacks power, but he seems like a very good leadoff guy, IMO.
  24. I suppose I'll take a stab at this. Sheets probably gets a pass (although not much of one lately) because fans saw how good he was when he was healthy. Rickie was the team's 1st round pick and people think highly of his potenial as do I. Both guys also came up from the minors which always makes them fan favorites. The reason Suppan gets crucified is because he's the $42 million man. The expectations for him were too big because of his contract. We all knew he pitched well in the playoffs, but his career norms weren't earth shattering. I really hope Soup can give us some solid inning this year and an ERA of 4 ish would be fine with me.
