    What's wrong with Hardy - couldn't he have pitched hit, at least he has an average (a low one) but its not .000. Or maybe Yo? I hate this team.

    Can someone call me when this is a real team again. I have seen it all now with a pitcher needing to pitch hit in the 10th. I don't even think they had this problem with the 22 inning game last week.

    Was at the game and Sheeter made an appearance at the top of the dugout in the 8th or 9th. Right arm was still attached to the body.

    Maybe the problem all along is he is throwing bullpens instead of babeballs. All joking aside, that is good news. Hopefully the problems are behind him and he can contribute down the road like Manny is now and with Jones pitching again its encouraging at least.

    What is the reason to move Hopf to AAA and place on the DL, why not put him on the DL at Huntsville?

    Last week they announced that they would go 1-5 with no skips to avoid disrupting Soup and Bush so Parra on Sat and Sheets on Sunday.

    Typical, I lived down here in Chicago for 13 years now and they overreact to everything. If they won today, they would have been designing the WS rings already. I do enjoy their reaction everytime the Cubbies or any other IL team collapse. Should be a fun season. Looking forward to the game on Sunday, my first of the year.

    I'm confused by this. It seems like your saying that Cappy is undergoing TJ simply because he was ineffective. Isn't there a better way to regain effectivness than undergoing major surgury and a year of rehab?

    What did we get in return for JDLR? What is with the love for average players on bad Brewer teams? Are we trying to relive the 90s. Let's move forward with good players not live in the past. Don August anyone?

    The White Sox are a home run hitting team this year right? Although, I do like the string of zero after Turnbow, Mota and Torres.

    Are these the same meaningless ST games that had everyone panicking when the ERA's were north of 9 a few weeks ago. I think he proved he can pitch as good or better than Vargas over said games. The Brewers are a better team now and we need to get over the fact that decent players will be cut. Vargas was the 7th starter when Yo comes back. Unless we plan to go with a 7 man rotation (and I doubt even Yost would consider that) there wasn't room for him. I wish him luck but its not like he is going to win the Cy Young any time soon. 7th starters are replacable.

    That's okay I am good with our position players. I think we are solid all around the diamond.

    And if Yo's knee was more serious and another starter blows out his arm in ST, we enter the season with 5 starters and Zach Jack and Narveson as depth. When Yo is back in a few weeks we still have 6 legitimate starters and the other 2 guys for additional depth. 5th starters like Vargas are a dime a dozen and teams look at him as being equal to what they have and rebuilding teams don't want to pay his salary. We offered him arby in case pitchers started falling like crazy this spring and release him today so in effect it was a $900K insurance policy. Not a bad investment in my opinion. I feel bad the Vargas gets shoved out the door at the end of ST but hopefully he can catch on somewhere and not haunt the Crew down the road.

    I noticed too that the game wasn't on tv this morning (the screen was just black) but then went downstairs to the HD TV and sure enough, the game was on ESPN2 HD. Weird.
