  1. It could be any of the 4 yet, whoever pitches next Tuesday is the guy if its not announced before hand. That person would then pitch a sim game on Sunday and be ready on Friday after the day off. My money is on Bush with the other 3 in the pen and Villy sent to AAA.
  2. He battled back after the 5 runs in the first because Soup's a battler with his gritiness. - Macha
  3. Do you have any information that Cappy is a bullpen guy. It looks like they are stretching Cappy out to start. He is pitching every 5th day and should go again on Tuesday and I thought I heard Macha say something to that effect early on. He will need time in AAA to build his arm once the season starts but by May I would think he would be an option.
  4. Not sure what innings but its about the 1:40 - 1:50 minute mark that it starts.
  5. I really think Bush gets released in the next couple of days. 4 into 2 doesn't work and Suppan is pretty much assured a spot (even after today) with his contract. Parra and Narveson have both been good so far in ST (Bush hasn't been bad either). But with the Davis signing they were pushing if not over the payroll budget and saving the 5/6 of Bush's salary helps with that. Parra and Narveson complete the rotation and Suppan is long man in the pen. I don't see anyway they can keep all four and if they need to lose one Bush makes the most sense. He is a free agent next year anyway I believe and Parra and Narveson will be relatively cheap for a few more years. The only reason I see this happening later in ST is if they want to wait to make sure no-one is injured in the next few weeks but then it will happen with a little less savings with Bush. With Suppan in the pen and Cappy and Butler at Nashville with some of the other signing they made this offseason and hopefully they are better then Chase Wright was last year, they should have depth. If more than one of the big 3 go down the team would be in trouble with or without Bush. I think he's a great guy and I loved rooting for him but I think his days are numbered. Looking forward to see how this plays out.
  6. He just said during the game he has his tights washed and ready to wear to the induction.
  7. I can think of about 12 million reasons ($) why Parra is getting a free pass so far and all the heat is on Soup.
  8. It doesn't appear to be, will make a long afternoon at work even longer with no baseball to distract me.
  9. never smoked never seen a movie in 3D never saw blue man group never seen/read Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings/etc. never been to Vegas
  10. Yes the volumn is very low. Also have my computer turned up as far as it goes. Except the commercials, those come in nice and loud which isn't good when I'm suppose to be working. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Escobar is having root canal done and Braun is being eased into game action.
  12. Based on the Dressed to the Nines website, it was 'Brewers' in block letters from 70-77. Then in 78 switched to the script 'Milwaukee' for the road jerseys with block 'Brewers' on the home jerseys and stayed like that through the 80's. I don't think they had the alternatives, etc. back in the day so I would guess it doesn't exist. http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dressed_to_the_nines/uniforms.asp?league=AL&city=Milwaukee&lowYear=1970&highYear=1980&sort=year&increment=12
  13. I had the "we're sorry blah blah blah" and kept hitting continue for about 3 minutes until it finally went through. Gotta be patient I guess with all the people online at once. I am sure fans in some cities don't have to deal with this sort of thing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Go Brewers!
  14. I think is was the JS blog that said it was NYCE (as in Nice). All I have to say is it should be a nice club.
  15. What did you expect packfan, them not show hockey for 3 hours in prime time when they have figure skating to show. They make sure they show ever routine in that sport but cover the rest in about 10 minutes.
  16. Great interview. Worries me about what he said about Macha. Was never a fan of Macha and this makes me less of one. Seth is a great guy. Hopefully he can come back to Milwaukee to finish his career.
  17. Honeymooned in Hawaii a few years ago spending 3 nights on the Big Island at Hilo. Volcano National Park is amazing. We also drove up to the Wapio Valley where Parker Ranch is located. I've never been on a horse before but we did a horse back tour there that was amazing up the mountain overlooking this small valley town. Never made it over to the Kona side.
  18. its yours, send me a PM with your address to send it to
  19. At the last game last season, I got one of the Free Tickets on the scratch cards that were handed out. Good for one ticket to the 4/6, 4/7, 4/26 or 4/27. Weekday tickets don't work well for me since I am down in Illinois. First person that responds that they want it I will send it to you. All I ask is that you don't sell the ticket.
  20. It looks like both Narveson and Smith are out of options so we risk losing them if they don't make the final 25. I think Riske will start in the minors as he builds back his arm after almost a year away. My locks are Hoffman, Stetter, Coffey, Hawkins, CV1 and CV2. With Narveson, Smith, Lofgren fighting out for the last spot and the rest beginning the season in AAA.
  21. The new reports over the weekend indicated only 6 players possibly going to arbitration that were tendered contracts. Gerut, Hart, Gomez, CV, Coffey and Bush. No Weeks but if I recall he signed a one year contract last year to avoid arbitration and don't recall him signing an extension. So what is his contract situation for next year?
  22. My two favorite Seth moments, the Friday game vs. the Cubs already talked about but my wife and I were in Cincy in May 07 and it started to sprinkle as Seth was signing autographs before the game and he asked a kid if the rain would stop and the kid said 'i don't know' and Seth guaranteed the rain would stop, then added 'it's not going to rain forever' Just seemed like a down to earth guy that loved the fact he was playing baseball and getting paid to do it. Best of luck Seth!
  23. Where does Katin fit in with the Brewers, he spent 2 years at AAA numbers are decent, not great. But never mentioned by anyone when they talk about having no outfield depth. Is he on the radar at all? Thanks for any insight.
  24. I'm surprised Doug Jones is still pitching at age 52. It would be good for Mike Jones if someone took him to give him a shot at least. If not, hopefully he will have that with the Brewers next year.
