  1. Turang could be one of those scenarios (like Adames) where we hold him to the very end, have (hopefully) four more playoff runs with him, and then take the pick... That said, as you just mentioned, beyond Chourio, we don't have other long-term contracts... in a couple years Yelich falls off... if Made/Pratt are starting to make an impact at the big league level (hopefully we can figure out 1B), and our pitching is starting to gel for a "go for it" type stretch, it will likely be ideal to keep some stability in place with Turang, Frelick, etc... So even if we're paying Turang $25/per and Frelick $15/per, with some of the younger players locked up (Jackson, Pratt, maybe Made) things could work out... 3-4 years down the line, our pitchers (if they pan out) will start hitting Arby (Miz, Patrick, Priester, Harrison), so that might make 2028-2031 or so our "window", before we re-load again
  2. Agreed. This team is definitely top 25 worthy for their season of work. Too bad in those Indy and USC losses… if we had held on there, we’re probably talking top 10… that said… i’m thrilled with how much this team has improved over the past month. Knowing the seeding gods always hate us, we’ll probably be a 6-7 seed, but some 2-3 is going to be furious to have us in their draw. I’d like to think that we can finish 4-2 or 5-1… 22-9 (14-6) or 23-8 (15-5) should net us a 5-6 seed I’d think. if we somehow add a win @ Purdue, that might get us into a top-4 seed.
  3. We would have to beat the #2 seed first for that to happen (no chance)
  4. Why wait? I’ve wanted to fire MLF all season :) and I’ll want to fire him, regardless of these next 5 games. He simply doesn’t have what it takes to make us a contender. If he gets us to the Super Bowl (and past the Rams, Bears, and Eagles), I’ll reconsider…. but at some point, put up or shut up.
  5. Or a new owner. Baseball economics are messed up, but sometimes we’re not even trying. overpaying for free agents is one thing that I’m glad we avoid, but with high attendance, significant mech sales, playoff revenue, we should be able to consistently afford $125, with maybe a “go for it” at $150 every couple seasons. Next year would be a year I think we should be able to push to $150 to max both our young talent and our window with Freddy and/or Woody. i realize that we’re never going to be a team paying 5 players $20M+ each, but no reason we shouldn’t be able to afford Turang for 7/100 with Yeli’s contract gone by 2029
  6. We’re still somehow only down 1-0… our pitching has been great tonight. As many have said, a bloop and a blast is all week need.
  7. What time did everyone get to American Family Field tonight? shooting to get to the stadium around 5:45-6:00 tomorrow but wondering if we’ll be stuck in traffic for an hour within a mile or two of the stadium. not planning to tailgate, but would hate to get near the stadium around 6:00 only to not make it in until the 3rd inning
  8. I feel good about tonight. Was at the NCLS Game 1 win in 2018, and will be bringing home the bacon tomorrow :) Let's go up 2-0 and make this a series to remember :D !!
  9. Nevermind, found parking the MLB Ballpark App. Darn technology and old age :P
  10. Who gets fired first? Fick or MLF? Both absolutely stink. I still can't believe we gave Love $250 million after 1 good month, but it is what it is and we're stuck with that contract for a couple years. Our play calling is horrendous... I give Gutey props for going and getting us some new personnel this offseason to go for it, but we need a new coach
  11. Ticket prices are crazy all over the board! I bought 2 tickets via seat geek in Section 213 for $185 each + fees... On the NLCS (direct from Brewers) this morning, seats in 210 or 229 were going for $300 + fees. I think some folks maybe have their seats on Stubhub or SeatGeek and didn't update prices yet after Game 5 win last night?
  12. Thank you! I'll order that right away
  13. For those that went to the NLDS... how critical was advance parking? Thinking about buying in advance today for Game 2... When I was on the Brewers website, I didn't see a place to enter vehicle information. Do you do that later? Something about the parking ticket/barcode would be released 36 hours before the game? Just doing the QR code onsite during the regular season has been pretty slick... GO BREWERS!
  14. Limited NLCS tickets go on Sale at 10am CST today! Not expecting a ton of LA fans coming our way, but nevertheless, let's keep the Dodger Blue out! GO BREWERS!
  15. Peralta on regular rest (4 days) for Game 2. Would need to pitch him on short rest to use him game #1
  16. Anyone know when they’ll put out the next group of single game tickets on sale for the NLCS?
  17. Still looking for tickets if anyone has any extras for tonight :)
  18. Anyone else looking to offload some tickets?. Bummer to have missed out on the other ones available :(
  19. Agreed. The bunt was a terrible decision there. If not for some great baserunning by Durbin, we could have gone from 1st/3rd with 1 out to 1st/2nd with 2 outs...
  20. Yeah, I'd be PHing here... we might not get another opportunity... and predictably, we get a weak grounder
