  1. Me likey... hopefully Vaughn can get it going. He's had some well struck pitches lately, just not a ton to show for it. Hopefully not pressing with the imminent return of Rhys on the horizon.
  2. Yeah, guys, given it a rest. Plenty of other forums to debate politics. I often engage in those debates in other places or with friends, but I'm here to talk baseball :D If we were 30 games under 500, I'd understand the focus being off-topic... Let's get er done today for another sweep and take some mojo into our series with Philly
  3. At playing Euchre? Or was that meant to be in blue? :P Jansen .206/.300/.265/.565 Haase .229/.289/.357/.646
  4. Is it too much to hope that when Ortiz and Hoskins return, we send down Seigler / Bauers 1B: Vaughn/Hoskins 2B: Turang/Mona SS: Ortiz/Mona 3B; Durbin/Mona OF: Collins, Chourio, Frelick, Perkins, Yelich C: Wild Bill / Somebody other than Jansen DH: Yelich/Hoskins Normal Bench: Hoskins Mona Perkins Haase
  5. Is this trade for the Packers the equivalent of the Brewers trading Peralta and Pena/Pratt/Quero for Skenes?
  6. Fair point snap. Last year was really frustrating as a Packers fan, but unfair to blame that on Jacobs who was very solid. 1300 yards, 15 TDs, definitely an impact. I'm not sold on Jordan Love...
  7. McKinney, yes.... but for a bad team. I'm not sold on Jacobs yet. If you gave me a choice of Jacobs or Aaron Jones, i'm taking Jones Hoping this can be the move that gets us a couple playoff wins. As others have said, we have alot of solid players on the Packers, but lack Elite Talent. Parsons easily the best player on our team now.
  8. Two firsts and Kenny Clark
  9. I am too. Our front offense has been pretty awful in the past decade in that it feels like we never actually attempt to get better. That just changed in a big way. Biggest signing since Woodson? Since Reggie?
  10. We just can't get the clutch hits the last couple series. During our streaks, we were constantly picking each other up by getting those runners in from 2nd/3rd to chip away at deficits. We've had opportunities (last night I think we were 1/12 with RISP), we just can't close the deal. Alright bullpen, please keep this close to give our offense a few more chances to pull this out. I see the Giants have pulled even with the scrubs through 2
  11. Assuming they are healthy.... Peralta, Woody, and Priester look like our pretty clear "top 3" heading into the playoffs. If we need a 4th, maybe a Miz/Ashby piggyback? Hopefully Q can eat some innings for us today. Though even down 6-2, he's already thrown 80 pitches through 3 innings. Probably going to see Megee a bunch today
  12. Tough start for the guys and makes not winning last night sting even more. Good thing that the Phillies and Cubs both lost last night, but it would have been nice to have a bit of separation and momentum heading into the Phillies/Toronto series. Oh well, as we say in basketball or football. Get through this game without injuries or burning the bullpen and play for another day.
  13. Whooop! Nice work Turang... Ok Caleb, time to feast on some LHP.... how about a granny that gives you a nice 4 RBIs to go with a 4 for 4 night?
  14. Yeah. Like Seigler, not quite sure what he offers. Not saying that we went backwards there, but I'm guessing his salary might have contributed to other moves that haven't worked out...
