  1. Great at bat Perkins... let's go team. Be patient, wait for the right pitch. Make the pitcher work... but golly, do not take a called third strike in the final frames tonight please.
  2. Murph, this is a couple batters too late. Fedde gave us 4 solid innings... if we were going to use Mears, why not do it right away, not not after the bases were loaded.
  3. The offense really came through the last two nights. Hopefully we can still get a spark in the final 3 frames. Tough outing for Fedde, but reading the pregame thread about the late scratch for Priester, I'm pretty thrilled only down 2-1 heading into the 7th. The key of course will be keeping this a one-run game as the Arizona offense has been coming out of its slumber With getting 6 innings of 2 run baseball from Ashby/Fedde, hopefully we can take advantage
  4. LOL... probably.... because baseball Gotta get Durbin here.... runner on second and no outs should be just about an automatic run every time. I see Will Bill failed to get the runner over. I wonder if murphy will bench him tomorrow?
  5. Monasterio has been hot, and Lockridge has hit decently well as a Brewer. We'll miss Frelick for sure, but having a couple nice PH opportunities later will be nice. Hopefully Perkins can get it going. Not thrilled with Bauers, but what are you going to do. Durbin is in, so I'm happy :P
  6. I agree. Murphy and Arnold have gotten us this far, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.... but I really wish we'd save Ashby for innings that matter. Between Gasser, Myers, Patrick, etc, it seems like we should position ourselves to make sure the next man in is always ready... But who knows, odds are, we'll have a washed-up journeyman (Fedde) throw 5 innings of shutout ball tonight and will win 11-8, meanwhile the Cubs lose, and folks will forget about the loss of momentum that we had over the past 7-10 days. Fear not, Brice is going yard three times tonight and will lead the way
  7. Who says the Brewers suck? I think there is a difference between criticizing a specific player's performance or a poor managerial decision, and saying the team sucks... The Brewers are a really great organization, though like any organization, we have our warts. People are bought in like I haven't seen them since 2018, but are nervous because of the collapses in recent years and late in games. Our margin for error is so small, and its remarkable that our manager and our GM are able to get so much out of this team and develop the pipeline of talent we have coming in despite our cheap owner and the frustrating lack of a level playing field in MLB. While LAD and NYY and other big markets win a ton, that is for the "Walmart Fans" that like programs like Michigan, OSU, Florida, George, Bama... it will mean more when the underdog actually wins one. If we get close to the WS, I think we will have a TON of people joining the Brewers bandwagon. Some, because they want the little guy to win, and some because they like the big boys, but want the little guy to win every once in awhile so they can convince themselves that "buying a championship" is the same as developing skills, players, culture, and momentum to overcome the odds.
  8. Seigler is pathetically bad. Must be that 41 OPS+ versus RHP that Murphy loves... seriously, why the hell is this guy on the roster. .184/.305/.184/.489 has to be the worst in the league with 50+ PA against RHP By the end, I absolutely couldn't stand CC as manager and was overjoyed when he left town. Hoping it doesn't come to that with Murphy. Seigler and Bauers have no place on this roster.
  9. Good grief.... I'm sorry, I don't find Murphy charming. He may be a nice guy, but what an idiot. Durbin finally getting hot, and we put in Seigler? WTH Arnold, get rid of the scrubs immediately. Our manager (like our old one) can't resist putting in our super sub reserves over our actually good players. and what does Seigler do? Take strike three looking to end the game. Good lord, get rid of this guy already
  10. the guy who came into the series batting .178/.218/.381/.599 who has gone 6 for 11 with 3 XBH
  11. brutal.... ugh, we're going to need some stuff to go our way now. GIDP would be nice, but now a flyball ties the game
  12. Yeah, this guy feels destined to hit another one out. Feels like half his HR this season have been this series against us
  13. Big strikeout there... but this is going to be another very high pitch count for TM
  14. I loved Uke.... but that did seem a bit over the top.
  15. Whew. too close for comfort. Would be nice to have an insurance run boys, just to give Megill something to work with besides a 1 run lead.
  16. Great job Shelby! Heart of the order coming up
  17. I just get the impression that Durbin's confidence and rhythm gets undermined if he's not playing almost every day
  18. Not trying to argue. I enjoy your posts.... I've just developed an irrational dislike for Seigler, not because of anything he does, but because sometimes Murphy doesn't treat him as he should (like the 26th man). Losing sucks... and when some less endowed players cost you games, they probably get an unreasonable amount of scrutiny, but it is what it is. Darn... that would have been a big run if Lockridge or Frelick could have come through there
  19. Cubs in an early 1-0 hole... Washington couldn't quite pull it together versus Philly
  20. Agreed. Outstanding. Patrick, way to step up big time when we needed you. Alright, let's get some badger mutual insurance runs and hope the bullpen can ice this away
  21. I can appreciate the guy tries hard, but he's not a good defender. His versatility is throwing the ball into the dugout or into right field. Seigler and Mona singlehandedly cost us the game yesterday. If he gets 2-3 starts a month, I can live with it, especially if he's working the count and trying to put up 7-8 pitch at-bats, but there is no platoon with him and Durbin. The only reason he should ever be in there for Durbin is if Durbin is hurt or needs an occasional rest. Defense is so important to this team, and yesterday shows why we need our best players on the field as much as possible.
  22. Dear Brewers Management: Caleb Durbin is an everyday player, period. I get he might need a day or two a month off, but otherwise he should be playing. Anthony Seigler on the other hand is terrible. He provides nothing. I'm sick of hearing about his "approach at the plate". The guy is a terrible defender and has ZERO extra base hits in 60 plate appearances. He brings nothing. Honestly have no idea why is is on the roster. DFA him, send him to the minors, don't care. The guy brings nothing. It is a complete joke he was taking some of Durbin's playing time (which really underminded the quality play Durbin has been giving us since Spring). Thank you, Brewers Fans Everywhere
