  1. They’re making sure we won’t see the ball again Yep. That'll happen when you can't get off the field on 3rd down. They scored too fast
  2. There we go! Too bad they couldn't recover that....
  3. Most of the league is in that book, Jefferson is awesome. Need more pressure to limit the time to get him the ball.
  4. Gonna need a turnover or 2 to win this game
  5. Not enough pressure and downfield coverage is getting exposed by a great set of receivers
  6. Cousins missed a wide open Jefferson on 2nd down there
  7. All of the potential game swinging calls by the officials have gone the Vikings way thus far. Packers arent playing well enough to win, but this is consistent drive killing calls in the trenches and secondary that are turning this into a potential blowout loss Admittedly i didn't see the Keke roughing call, but vikes radio broadcast said it looked clean and a gift call so I'm going off that call as being questionable
  8. No, actually....they didn't. Whatever is going on with Rodgers' toe is limiting him and the oline is a weakness right now.
  9. Refs have this one tallied for the packer L column
  10. Huskers have a terrible record but have been in every one of their games....and their schedule has been brutal. Talent on that team, but not enough consistency....that's coaching and probably the reason they fired most of Frosts staff before the season even ended. Giving him 1 more season to put something together before he gets canned, too.
  11. They just haven't updated that percentage since the game started....probably went from 99.8 to 99.9 after they dropped a half dollar on Sparty in the 1st half.
  12. Also should show why this year's Bama team has no business being in front of OSU or Oregon if those two programs with much better schedules don't lose another game....but thats not going to happen
  13. But as BSCR noted, there is literally no way they CAN have a controlling interest. They could marry a shareholder of the early era stock sales
  14. Just had this teacher gift conversation with my wife, too. I think the gift giving does slowly fade away as elementary school gives way to middle school - As a parent one issue that can be difficult is where to draw the line on which people get gifts, particularly once you get into the realm of day cares, before/after school care, teacher paras, etc. we've currently got 3 kids in elementary school so it's not like just picking up a gift card or two from Starbucks is enough to cover close to double digit people, and it's actually much lower than years where we had to add on before/after school care and preschool/daycare staff when kids were younger. We're very appreciative and glad to have means to make sure they all know we're thinking of them at the holidays, but to me things have changed alot in the last decade -not just for teachers, seems like holiday commercialism has really exploded in effort to push more gifts for many more folks tied to various aspects of our day to days). Particularly compared to when I was in school and the only teacher gifts given out were reminders they all got 3 month paid vacations every summer.
  15. Vuck only had 2 more starts/appearances in that 1982 Cy Young season than Burnes in 2021 - yet he pitched 56+ more innings than Burnes despite the fact Burnes routinely worked deep into games by this era's starting pitching standards. That is the most insane stat comparison to me. 9 complete games to none.
  16. Someone better nudge the brass at Halas Hall to make sure they're aware of their own diminishing ownership stake so they don't get in trouble with NFL rules:
  17. Jones has MCL histories with knees, so I'd imagine his prognosis isn't a cut and dry 3-4 weeks...optimistically that would be the timetable, but I'd imagine it might be a bit longer until we see him back on the field. Still better than a season-ender though.
  18. Not entirely, but they're better than an AP/Coaches poll issued in August that essentially drives the entire ranking and CFP system for the regular season that's still largely influenced by a popularity contest. No rankings should be issued at all until early November, IMO.
  19. In the current 4 team format, when power conferences like the SEC set up their schedules to insulate themselves from playing significant out of conference matchups I don't see how one can make the determination who the best teams are across the entire college football landscape each season with how much bias is baked into the current ranking system. Is Alabama once again a top 10 program in the country? Absolutely. Are they the second best team in all of college football this season based on their 2021 body of work? Absolutely not in my opinion. Expansion to 6 (5 power conference auto bids + 1 at large) or 8 teams in the CFP (similar setup to your format) in my mind is the best chance for even most of the other power conferences to try and tilt the playing field back closer to even, because that would at least force SEC teams to have to continue proving their perceived dominance by actually playing games against quality non-conference opponents on neutral fields to win national championships. Aren’t the conference championship games effectively a playoff? Not in a 4-team CFP format with how heavy the Alabama bias has gotten. Assuming neither Bama or UGA loses before that title game, both of those teams are making the CFP no matter what happens in that title game. IMO a team that doesn't win its own conference title shouldn't be allowed in to play for a national title - particularly if they had the head to head opportunity to win their conference in its title game.
  20. I think there are some things in the passing game they can't get fully into yet because their O-line play has been inconsistent - hopefully getting #69 back on the field and allowing Jenkins to slide over to LG soon really solidifies them in pass pro, so RBs and TEs can get out on routes as well. The loss of Tonyan stings, seemed like he was just getting back into a groove when he went down. Also, injuries in general have been a much bigger issue this season than the previous two. And it's also interesting seeing the difference in this offense inside the red zone under MLF really struggle playing games in stadiums with capacity crowds (2019, 2021) and the COVID year with nobody in the stands when zero noise allowed the offense to communicate anything they wanted to easily in terms of audibles/blocking assignments/playcalls and just dominate inside the red zone.
  21. Definitely....and not having to blitz any time you'd want to pressure the qb at all really helps with limiting high stress coverages where a blown assignment leads to a huge play. Even run downs don't have them needing 8 in the box just to slow the opponent down - bugs up front playing well up front makes so much difference.
  22. Dline continues to play much better - still some spurts where they get gashed by a play or two when someone blows a gap assignment, but they really seem to be getting much better pass pressure up the gut without having to blitz. That makes those speed rushes by Gary more effective because the qb doesn't have tons of room to just step up in the pocket. Might not be better coordinating with x's and o's...but definitely better play and coaching.
  23. Thats going to be incomplete, unfortunately
