  1. Would be great to get a W here based on how this weeks games are unfolding and return to the HFA drivers seat...Cardinals getting pantsed by the Panthers so far and buccaneers lost to WFT.
  2. Wishing Nance would just tell Romo to go find a relative in the stands to get him out of the booth a few series - dude just needs to stop talking sometimes. He's great in moderation but my gawd take 10 seconds off each play clock to take a breath.
  3. Both teams allergic to scoring today
  4. Great play by that defender there though
  5. The shotgun snap stretch plays with Dillon just arent working in short yardage.
  6. Alabama jumps Cincy to #2 in the AP poll with its win against essentially a quality high school program this past Saturday, so its cemented spot as the #2 team in the CFP "rankings" looks more legitimate and deserved. They will likely wind up with just one regular season win against a team that is ranked in the top 25 when the calendar rolls into December (Ole Miss), and they have Mercer, Southern Miss, and New Mexico State on their schedule. Their SEC East interconference opponents this year? 5-5 Gator and Tennessee squads. On top of that, Georgia gets to fatten up its resume against an awful SEC East division and its Week 1 win over currently unranked Clemson doesn't look nearly as impressive. But sure, let's keep them #1 and #2 to essentially guarantee both of them wind up in the CFP no matter what happens to the rest of college football and regardless of who wins the SEC title game between those two squads. It's going to be a shame when Cincy gets left out in a year that an undefeated non-power conference champ that is considered to be a solid program absolutely deserves a spot in the CFP.
  7. That would still be my pick to click in the AFC....although it also feels like it could be one of those years where a marginal veteran team squeaks in and then runs the table to get to the Super Bowl before getting blasted by whomever the NFC sends - Steelers or Chiefs (assuming Mahomes heats up) come to mind.
  8. I don't think prime Devin Hester would want to return punts behind the blocking this special teams unit provides.
  9. I'd argue the 5th yr option is exactly why teams are better off drafting a qb late in the 1st round than round 2 and beyond, especially a project type player that needs development.
  10. NFL asked get paid in Bitcoin from ARod...to the moon!
  11. There will be at least one nfl playoff game this postseason that gets largely determined before kickoff because a team has key guys out due to covid. The NFL needs to start testing vaccinated players more frequently than is currently required (weekly) under protocols, or it will be too easy for significant spread inside a team facility to occur before they even find out.
  12. The big question would be whether he's got anything left in the tank, or have injuries eroded his skills to the point where he's just another guy? The Browns couldn't find any takers before the trade deadline, which leads me to believe that most other NFL contenders think he's no longer a big enough talent to be worth the potential trouble. Had more to do with teams knowing he was headed out and not wanting to be saddled with the rest of this years contract If he clears waivers I believe he can sign for the league minimum left this year, and be a free agent this offseason. Ill take a motivated OBJ for 2 months
  13. Just say this last week, Aaron....frankly just say it back in august
  14. I think it might be quarantine for 10 days and also not be showing any more symptoms, and not pass a test - my mistake initially. Assuming Rodgers is symptom-free, he'll be activated Saturday....
  15. The exact same thing could've been said about Rodgers at similar points in their careers....and it continued for Rodgers for at least 3 more years - get used it, I guess.
  16. It should also be noted Aaron Rodgers did not start either game. Thus, did not practice all week with the starters...nor did he really expect to play meaningful football going into said games. That feels like a big difference compared to Jordan Love...who got a ton of practice with the main starters all pre-season, during pre-season, and then most of the week leading up to the Chiefs game. Rodgers had full offseason workouts, minicamps (most of the time to himself while Favre was playing "will I retire" each offseason), and most importantly full training camps with 4 preseason games for 4 seasons prior to making his first NFL start. Love had no training camp his rookie season, no preseason games, and very limited practice opportunities with starters due to COVID protocols in 2020. This season he did get 3 preseason games in which the Packers basically played zero starters that he got to work on running for his life and having nobody to throw to... Other than that, the comparison is pretty similar.
  17. and his 4th, which was the first year he was the starter, the team went 6-10
  18. If that's Love's game, he's just got to be better at making reads and he has to be given plays that take advantage of what he can do. Josh Allen still has accuracy problems whether he's on the move or not, but after 3+ seasons of playing time he's gone from questionable to great. Tom Brady did alright for himself being a pocket statue. Love's biggest issues can be corrected over time with playing experience at the NFL level - sure, he could wind up not being a pro bowl caliber quarterback and washing out....but fans need to give him the opportunity to play consistently over a couple seasons to find out for sure what he is. The arm talent is definitely there, it's whether his decision making translates into the NFL game.
  19. This is where scrambled gameplanning probably comes into play....that gets put together early on in the week and before wednesday - at the time coaches are assuming Rodgers is playing and all 3 top receivers are likely back on the field. I would hope they adjusted things a bit once they knew Love was playing, but in general it seemed like they could've done some things differently to make life easier - particularly with personnel groupings. They would've been better of just carbon copying the Cardinal gameplan and running it alot more. Seemed like they played with a bunch of 3wr personnel, and KC just went blitz heavy with coverage rolled towards Adams and Love took way too long into the game to start looking to secondary options who were better places to go with the football.
  20. I put the odds at Rodgers playing the Seattle game at 99.999% Simply boils down to how soon he can start passing COVID tests - he should be cleared in plenty of time to come off the list this coming Saturday, but he only 1st tested positive 5 days ago. It's not just about how soon Rodgers isn't symptomatic anymore - he probably already feels great - he's got to pass 2 tests at least 24 hrs apart to be eligible to come off the COVID list. Had he tested positive just after the Cardinals game over that weekend or early last week, then yes I'd say the odds of him having no issues getting activated for the Seahawks game would've been really good. But 1st testing positive 11 days out makes that window very tight.
  21. Not everyone...Rodgers' selfishness isn't what led to him testing positive for COVID - but to me it is what turned the entire practice week completely away from football. Keep in mind they probably had put together a full gameplan against the Chiefs assuming Rodgers was going to be playing. Then right before the team starts practice Wednesday they find out Rodgers is out and Love gets tossed in. Hopefully it amounts to a 1 week blip on the season-long radar, but there's still a chance he may miss next Sunday's Seahawk game and it's yet to be determined if the scrutiny surrounding Rodgers winds up being a rallying point in the locker room or if it fractures things. It's one thing for everyone in that locker room (coaches and players) to know Rodgers' stance and vaxx status privately, it's another thing now for them to have to deal with negative press and public perception of them going along with helping ARod conceal it publicly when none of them were afforded that option themselves.
  22. Even at 10 years he'd be better than any scrub they always seem to bring in. I get that the quarterback position is more important to the Packers than anyone else in the NFL and that you should start looking at drafting your next QB of the future at some point, but not only was drafting Love to be that guy a mistake, drafting any quarterback in 2020 was too early to be thinking that way. Based on Rodgers' performance in 2018-2019 and what his contract looked like, it really wasn't too early to try and get a young QB into the building and developed enough to take the reins in 2022. Teams moving on from HOF quarterbacks rarely fare very well in that 1-2 season transition period, just ask Arod, who went 6-10 his first year starting in his 4th year in the league.
  23. I'd say both GB losses this season are the consequence of Rodgers being selfish....but I'd also say at least half of their wins are also due to Rodgers being who he is - a great quarterback with an ego. He's definitely not the 1st of those.
