  1. Ahhh, Franci$co. Well, that takes away a fraction of the original hurt. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Agreed. His (Schoeneweis) comments about the Brewers organization were ludicrous. I wonder what he is saying about the Sox.I'll admit, I wondered the same as soon as I saw the topic of this thread yesterday. I'd like to think that either Scott's comments about the Brewers were taken out of context, or he'll look back on them eventually and wonder what he was thinking, then realize it was a consequence of his very rough patch of 2009-2010 (for his sake, hopefully not far beyond '10).
  3. I hate to say, but it's possible that the lack of replies indicates that the rest of us don't know what to tell you.
  4. I don't know that "doesn't see any reason" to fire Macha automatically translates into "it will not happen."
  5. I feel like I should say "better late than never," but man.
  6. The Big Ten Network is showing the Duke @ UW game from December 2009.
  7. He's just now paying attention?
  8. A suggestion from tonight's chat was Team Bleak.
  9. In Cleveland last summer I wore a Brewers cap and a Brewers Branyan shirt (they were playing Seattle, and Russell was in the game). No one commented on the shirt, but three Progressive Field employees commented favorably on my cap, with two of them remarking on how nice it was of Milwaukee to host those snowed-out games a season or two back. Maybe this year you'd just get pitying glances. I'd say go for the cap.
  10. Plus if you could possibly help it, why would you want your last career appearance to be like Tuesday's? (yeah, an injury could be that bad, but as Peavey said, why would he have pitched through it for a month and a half?)
  11. The Brewers host Seattle on June 26, if that helps any. The Twins series is June 22-24.
  12. And you can't leave when it gets bad.
  13. 2-4 for us. I couldn't tell you how we managed that. We even saw one of the Hoffman saves. We are also 1-2 in road games, having taken in the Nationals series.
  14. If there is a mid-season housecleaning (or next week housecleaning or whatever), I wonder if Peterson would stay even if he were spared. I don't know enough about the working relationships between Macha and the coaches to be able to comment knowledgeably on that.
  15. I fear that in a few days we'll all be required to buy extra food from George Webb.
  16. In a vacuum, you were right about it being a lower-leverage save. In the context of the losing streak, maybe not so much. Anyway, it doesn't look like anyone here is hanging the loss on you, dave.
  17. Almost. You can do whatever the hell you want as long as you've earned the right to do it. All of the Cardinals have. Everyone else hasn't.
  18. They'd better be as un-amused by the Reds as they've been by the Brewers. I want to dislike Joey Votto, but given his anxiety/depression woes, I can't flat out hate.
  19. Ohhh, wasn't Laynce Nyx a Brewyr kyller last year? (looks back at gameday) Phew. Or perhaps Phyw.
  20. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/45/124086720_c3bb549422_m.jpg Again.
  21. I thought the same thing, until I realized they'd only done it for the 1st inning. Too bad the Brewers couldn't bat around in the 1st.
  22. So maybe you served me my brat! or took my order at least, as it was a female who handed over the food.
