  1. http://www2.jsonline.com/sports/brew/image/1999/jul/bank707.jpg Really, it says BANKS 23. Yup, Brian Banks.
  2. And in related news, the poster of the month will receive a can of Grandpa Graf's cream soda, the official cream soda of Brewerfan.net. In your face, A&W! I think Ryan should have us over to the condo for some sweet TV viewing. I still hope he's busy in October, though.
  3. The triple post is testament to how much the road work bugs casey. We had our turn (I hope our only one) with road work outside the house in 2003. We lived on an intersection (right by BuckyTuba and his tuba comrades) and the "side street" was going to be out of commission for a few months. Fine, the street really needed it, we knew the inconvenience would be worth it. The hassle increased when they discovered a little problem with the cross street (our "front street") in the intersection. So they dug that up too, only in front of our house. The hassle peaked when they connected something incorrectly and we had a small (few inches) backup of water in our basement. However, the contractor reimbursed us for all expenses we incurred cleaning that up. The end result was a much improved street surface, a curb (again!), and a sewer system that was newer than the 1910s. But it was not at all relaxing to come home from work and find disruption and (depending on the weather) either dust or mud every night.
  4. 1070 had Brewers talk? I probably shouldn't be surprised since I don't usually listen, but on the day of the Linebrink trade I gave them a try and got nothing, nada, nix about baseball, let alone the Brewers.
  5. Bobskube, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your avatar. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Anything I can do to get back in the chat? I'm having trouble with it myself, if that's of any comfort.
  7. Wisconsinfan, where'd you overhear that great snippet you use for your sig? That is from the episode of Brewers Str8up where the fellas filmed their Young and the Restless scene. I'm geeky enough to have watched that 2 1/2 times. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp
  8. Perhaps he will now be motivated to get #300 during his next start, which projects to be at Wrigley. Works for me. Fun fact: Tom Glavine is exactly one month younger than I am.
  9. I've been contemplating how ironic it would be to have the best game of a year on the day there's not an in-game thread. If that's what it takes to jump start the home team, then perhaps Tuesday night shall not have been in vain. I like this thread.
  10. So...tired... But sleep deprivation is so much easier to take when a win is involved. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Welcome back, wOOgiE. I think I might speak for multiple posters when I say we've missed you.
  11. How awesome that the Brewers still have to play Atlanta, on the road.
  12. can he handle the pressure here? In Milwaukee, or on this site?
  13. So Casey, if I log in over there with my current ezboard information, will that get me in to Yuku, or set up a new, hawing-esque profile? (in which case, I may as well wait a day or two to be migrated) I just want to see what kind of secret evil chat Brian and 19 are having.
  14. Brett, when I went to My Control Center, I saw my email address by choosing "Edit Profile." It appeared toward the lower left on the screen.
  15. he seems to be the only starter capable of winning Yeah, Claudio is practically "the stopper" nowadays. No offense, Claudio, but man, that's sad. So we could see Kyle Lohse in the next week?
  16. Madison's resource is the Tenant Resource Center. I think a lot of the information is Madison-specific, but they have a toll free number for calls outside of Dane County. www.tenantresourcecenter.org/ Good luck.
  17. Well, it doesn't look like a JV/forfeit lineup. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  18. Corey also comes through for the home run inning contestant, who had picked Corey Hart ($800 instead of $200).
  19. We should get a 2-for-the-price-of-one profanity discount today in recognition of the doubleheader. That's innovative thinking...but sorry. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. You probably couldn't have picked a better photo for Reyes, Jumpin. Tip of the keyboard to you.
  21. And you weren't struck by lightning. It was a win-win!
  22. Done and done! Better late than never.
