  1. I'm still amazed with Jenks hitting a HR against the lefty. You know it's going good when stuff like that is going down Indeed, JET15. This conversation took place in our living room last night: hawing (looking at FSN graphic indicating Jenkins' .133 average vs. lefties): What do they have Jenkins in here for? Geoff: *crack of bat for 3-run HR* S.O.: There you go.
  2. Wow, my boy Ray King isn't pitching so hot thus far. Oh, man, I just realized the Nats have Ray King! Please, Nats, save him for Wednesday so I can see if he still sprints from the bullpen. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. Should it be 'brewers19' as the name and 19 for the number, or just 'brewers' as the name with 19 as the number? You are not seeing a golden opportunity to honor your past and present favorite Brewers with one garment! Use 'brewers19' as the name and 7 as the number.
  4. over 30K on Wednesday as the place will be packed with school kids. Yep, we've bailed out on our usual seats and used our season ticket free upgrade voucher to (try to) get away from the younguns. Not that I don't want to see them enjoy a game, but after being almost completely surrounded by middle school girls last year...shudder. And I was a girl that age once!
  5. Prince smoked that one for Capps Yeah, hard to imagine that wasn't some type of message delivered there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. He looks like he's giving himself a noseful of the Armas armpit. The first thing I thought of, when I saw that picture, was that irritating Right Guard commercial that MLB.com keeps showing, where the guy fights the deer, checks the pits and announces that "WE'RE GOOD!." Yet another tip of the cap to Woogie for incorporating less than flattering pictures of the opponents' starters.
  7. Indeed, you wouldn't like him when he's angry.
  8. The stare Prince gave Capps while he was laying on the ground put the fear of God in Capps. Yeah, I don't ever want to be on the receiving end of a look like that. I almost hope the Pirates need to use Capps Sunday; let the fans tell the story. Unexpected but excellent post-game conundrum: When J.J. Hardy interviews with FSN and BBTN air simultaneously, which do you watch? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. I'm glad you saw a good one, JET15.
  10. Anyone want to join me in starting a Jack Wilson Retirement Fund? I'm sick of even just listening to him succeed.
  11. Haiku is viral. Last night I talked to my cats In five-seven-five.
  12. Crush! Sack! Maim! Destroy! You forgot Pillage! (It is the Pirates, after all.)
  13. In our season ticket package we got a sheet of coupons for 10% off any non-game day food purchase. There is one coupon per month of the 2007 (regular) season - so, five that are still valid. Not living in Milwaukee, we are unlikely to make a trip on a non-game day just for 10% off Friday's food. So I'm offering our sheet of coupons. First PM to me gets it. Yeah, not as glamorous as a bobblehead...but you can't eat a bobblehead for lunch or dinner. Edit: These have been claimed.
  14. Here's a nifty stat: Brewers lifetime 2-and-oh On our haiku nights. Need five more pages If we are going to top The '05 total.
  15. I wish they had scored three of these runs Thursday night. Yet, I am still pleased. So, Ned said "duck fart"? That is what I thought he said. Chat room disagreed. J.J. Hardy. Wow! Can't say enough about him. Proud to be his fan. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. it is never fair when librarians compete in haiku contests Come on, pogokat. Library degrees don't mean Mad skillz in haiku.
  17. Gabe Gross for the win Bottom of the ninth inning Hits walkoff grand slam Kind of hope you're wrong. (Not about the Brewers' win But the bottom ninth.)
  18. Pogo, can I ask Why? That's something we all say Let us have our fun! Please remember that Women post and chat here too. Boobs...not a fun chant.
  19. I don't know, obsessed. He can be Houdini IF He is successful.
  20. Lucky for you guys I already own the prize New winner this time! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Baserunning garbage and a bad inning in a close game...chalk it up to "You can't win 'em all" and keep moving. Splitter has summed it up nicely for me - as has bigredrobbo (one of the 50 games every team loses). Didn't make me happy, but didn't make me mad either. On the way home the radio gave us the timeless lyrics of Chumbawamba: I get knocked, down but I get up again You're never gonna keep me down.
  22. Receiving email inquiries from customers who don't use decent spelling and grammar. I'm not demanding perfection (I may dream of perfection, but I won't demand it). But I think I can reasonably request that a question asked of me be comprehensible. Half of the inquiry that is prompting this post was one run-on sentence, including some abbreviations that I think the writer may have made up. It took a while just to figure out how to phrase my response. On another note, the customer did not include her full name in the message, nor where she's from (which makes it difficult for me to address her professionally, or direct her to possible alternate resources).
  23. I hate to put the egg before the chicken but if the Brewers can somehow continue this small winning streak into a big one circle Friday May 11th on your calender. Sshhhh! Every time I think "12 wins out", the Brewers lose the next game. (Though if it happens tonight, it's BCin2004's head.) Unless, of course, this is the year of the anti-jinx. Tune in tonight.
  24. Is the game tonight dollar hotdogs as well? I believe the Spring Madness discounts don't begin until Friday. Which seems a little silly, as tonight's crowd (despite being scheduled to include such bf.net luminaries as the Bwaz and hawing) might not be all that large; and why not fill more seats with the lure of dollar mystery meat and cheaper cheap seats?
  25. I'm in this picture!! I'm among the section of guys in the foreground of the picture, on the right side. Don't tell me. You're wearing red, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
