2001, IIRC. Arrgh! Don't even think about that! I won't even copy those S-words in my reply post. *holding hands over ears and singing loudly to myself*
Don't look now, but Ssh! Quiet, you! Next thing you know, folks will be posting here on how good it is to be a gangsta, and then the Brewers will enter a free-fall. Remember 2004? (I know, it's different, but I'm still superstitious.)
But Cub fans seriously explode into cheering anytime a ball leaves the infield. Well, that's more what I was talking about. It's like they're so excitable that mere bat-ball contact sets them off. That's freakish, right?
Of course Cubs fans deserve a season like that just for thinking that EVERY BALL hit into the outfield is a homerun.... Does that happen with any other team's fans? I'm open to the idea that I notice it more with cub nation because their fans, as a group, are so irritating. But I don't notice it with other teams' fans.
I checked that guy's MLB player profile today, hoping that "Rocky Cherry" wasn't his given name. But it was: Rocky Ty Cherry. Is this worse than Boof Bonser (namewise)?
Do you think the Cubs ever regret putting that basket out there? Mench mench mench mench MENCH. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif (Winning $850 for Kathy from Madison, no less) Edit: Mental lapse. Guess it happens once you turn 41.
Hey TC, how's this for a birthday present? It was almost a birthday present for people born April 24. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Can't imagine what a playoff game would feel like. If I'm not retired when the Brewers next get to a postseason, I may have to take vacation, or sick leave, until it's over. I wouldn't be able to focus on work.
Why? were you one of the people I hugged? No, I'm at home. But I'm a librarian and I know that of the libraries still open on campus, College is the most...social. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Anyone hoping for a rainout tomorrow? Yes. Yes, I am. I need some sleep and the Brewers need some rest. And remember, it's not over yet.... http://www.trimp3.com/news/grilled%20cheese.jpg
I hear rain is called for so it may not be an issue. I hate to say, but rain might be a blessing on Tuesday. Of course, the Cubs would get a chance to rest too.
If the brewers win with Hart PH this inning we can quit watching the games and have Hawing e-mail us the predictions beforehand. Oh, yeah, it is the 11th now, isn't it? Never surrender! Edit: Dang, on several counts.
